I guess there probably are parts that are influence from Arjen Lucassen aswell, but to be honest for me is much easier to spot Devin's influence, cause Devin is one of my favourite artists in metal and I hear his musics far more often, even though I enjoy a lot of Arjen projects songs I don't hear them as often.
Drevilrodrigues Devin has given a big 👍to the Mandylion album released in 1995, which he said he 'literally listened to a 1000 times'.They were both label mates in the then independant Century Media label.The influences are mutual as far as Anneke & Devin go. You can see the genuine respect they have for each other on stage.
I can't wait to see her with Amorphis in October. She's my favourite singer in the world, since I discovered The Gathering in the 90s. I must meet her (and be an emotional, blubbering fangirl) before I die.
Amazing! An absolutely contagious, heavy work that puts Anneke on another level! It will be extremely interesting to see Anneke now surrounded by prog metal bands, delivering yet another intriguing facet of her huge mishmash basket of surprises.

What is so great about Anneke other than her smile, is her vocal melodies. They have never been "cheap eurovision like" melodies... You gotta love Anneke! Although I'm surprised about Anneke, I mean I had no clue what to expect listening to her in a pure metal song like this. It's really kinda surprising after all this time to hear Anneke sing in a real metal band again... Has she not stated one time in an interview that she would probably never sing in a Metal band ever again? ;) Anyway, I cannot but dig just simply everything this woman does - probably there will never ever be another singer which I am this much in love and just totally addicted - guess there is not ONE single song of Anneke which I don't just love completely :) ❤️❤️❤️

Please let this band last longer than for only one album. I generally enjoy almost anything, where Anneke is involved, but her work with Devin Townsend, early The Gathering and Vuur i enjoy the most. I listen to this record almost every day for weeks now and still totally fallen in love!

I did but it didn't really get me in, as I remember it's more on the rock-ish/grunge side than metal. Probably that is why I missed it out.
