Improve Your Kaypro II with a Video Output Adapter

- In this video, I show my new video output board. It was made so that vintage computers that don't have external composite or
RGB2HDMI output now can have it. The Kaypro II computer doesn't have this, so let's see if I can get it to work.
This board, I call it the Generic Video Out adapter Model 2320 and can do the following:
1. Composite video output
2. R2GB2HDMI video output port - Needs RGB2HDMI board to get HDMI video
This board can also be used in computers that have a video problem that can't be repaired. Like a bad picture tube or fly back transformer that can't be found
eplaced. If the part is no longer available, then you can put in a small modern screen with an HDMI connection and connect this board. Next think you know, you are back in business.
Hopefully, you will enjoy this video and watch my GitHub page for when the gerber files will be released in early 2024. I am not selling this board, but if you really need one, you can contact me via email.
UPDATE!! Check my GitHub page for the Graber files. There are now 2 boards. One is as shown in the video and the other is just foe RGB2HDMI connections. Use either one.

Nope, just a bald guy having fun. Thanks for commenting

Thank you very much!! Thank you for watching and commenting too
It's a nice board, great work and congratulations Rudy :-)
Many thanks, and thank you for commenting!
Great work Rudy! I need to get a working RGB2HDMI to try this out. Somehow the one I have has a bizarre issue where it keeps starting up in amiga mode.
Thanks! It may be that the profiles are messed up. Email me, and I will send you what I have. Could work. Thanks for commenting
Very cool and handy device :) Great work! Cheers!
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it
Looking forward to the Apple ii instructions!
Me too! Hope it works as expected. Stay tuned for that video to come. Thanks for commenting
Looking forward to this project being ready. I have a large number of Kaypros and would love to test your board on them.
Thanks! Email me and let's talk. Thanks for commenting
That video looked crisp and clean!
Yes, the RGB2HDMI is the best option for me. You can adjust all aspects of the video, even the colors. I changed the color to amber from green so that it shows better in the video. Thanks for commenting
Great work!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Really cool

Good work!
Thanks, bud!! If you want to do some testing, email me. Thanks for commenting
@@RudysRetroIntel Hey, if you want to send me one that's cool, but I have a zillion projects, not enough time, and I'll probably never get around to assembling one! Lol.
Fully understand!!! I'm the same. If you change your mind, let me know
Nice little adapter, where did you get that rgb2hdmi adapter as it looks very different to mine
Thanks!! There are many types, but all should work the same. I bought mine over a year ago at TexElect. Thanks for commenting
I have this up and running, sort of. The video quality is still a little poor. Do you have a link to the rgb2hdmi settings you use? thanks!
You can find them on the net, and I believe I have it on my GitHub.
Is there an email to contact you? I have a couple projects I wanted to ask you about. Thanks!
Yes, it's the description of each video. Looking forward to your email
Was this designed in Kicad?
No, I use SprintLayout application
