I can probably guess next weeks final episode, Carrie and hot teacher dude finally go on a proper date, Miranda falls deeply in love with Che but che doesn’t feel the same and Miranda is crushed. Steve and Miranda will tell Brady about the divorce but Brady isn’t shocked, Rock will finally come out and Charlotte and Harry will be supportive, but Charlotte finds out she’s pregnant, and Aidan shows up at the end.
Let's see. It's just a week away. XD

I don’t mind that the show is trying to address social issues but it’s overkill, the old characters aren’t themselves, there’s no story, no flow. So heartbreaking for loyal fans of the original series.

Feels like they try to make Seema a sort of replacement for Samantha. Seema seems fun, but god does it make me miss Samantha even more. She carried the show.

*eye roll* The original show and the first movie, there were all types of women in them, we didn't need to do the woke stuff. There was even a relationship that Samatha had with the woman who was an artist and another episode where Charlotte hung out with gay women who were successful. I couldn't even make it through this clip, it's so contrived and the writing is not as smart and funny as the original series. Not my taste.
The dialogue is the worst. The writing is the crappiest of any show. The old shows had great writing. Plus they make it seem like these women just discovered the existence of black and brown people.
How did this show get renewed for a second season? I’ve not seen one person say they liked it…

These women are from New York. The show acts like Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte were locked in a vault in early 2000s then dropped back into the present. New York was always diverse. They certainly would’ve progressed with modernization being in such an upbeat city, some having children, and the wealth they have. Like don’t tell me Charlotte didn’t get into Pinterest at some point😂 SATC wasn’t so diverse cast-wise but their approach here is just so poorly done here. Kim dodged a bullet here

They don't make NYC look fun anymore. It used to be a place of freedom and choice. Now it's a place of obligation and guilt. I think that's why I left in 2013

The series made NYC looks fabulous and fun. So it was ok that they were all a bunch of spoiled brats. They looked good and made us laugh. Now they’re all just insufferable. People in NYC who have to work three jobs just to scrape by don’t have time to worry about which pronouns they prefer. They don’t have that luxury. the juxtaposition of these entitled spoiled brats forcing everyone else to be woke makes us hate these characters. I guess they got a few dollars out of it. At the expense of a once well-written, hilarious series.
And the reason Rock is such a horrible person is that a typical lower-class kid her age in NYC would be working full time at McDonald’s while her parents worked multiple jobs. She wouldn’t be sitting around playing video games, acting all mopey and angsty because she isn’t the center of attention. Charlotte and Harry should know better but obviously not…

@@julieburck9613 They weren't "spoiled" in the 90s. They made a good amount of money, but they didn't have huge assets in real estate and the stock market that support them now. I think that's the difference. They're so wealthy they don't face serious consequences for their actions now.
Why didn't we get any scene about the repercussions of Miranda's actions? How does Brady react to his mother cheating on his father and having an affair? Teenagers usually react even worse than small children to their parents breaking up too. He wouldn't just not have a reaction to it, like it's presented here. I thought this new show was so big on showing us real life?! Where does Miranda stay now? Do they all still live together or is she staying in a hotel or living with Che? Does Miranda still work or is she a full time student now? Like what's their situation? 🤨

I miss the light hearted, absurd sex and the city. I’d get so giddy just hearing the opening credits. Middle age for sure comes with its own challenges but they can be funny and absurd, too. This show isn’t funny.

The geniuses at HBO have made huge a mess of such an iconic television series. How tf did hbo misunderstand such a simple f-ing assigment??! They had everything laid out in front of them but have acted as if they had to start again from scratch. All they have done is create an unseasoned spin off series that will be remembered just for being forgettable. The characters are unlikeable as are the plots. The magic is gone. HBO needs to hire new writers asap because the current writers SUCK!

I think the writers really went for light when the original ones went for fun. However, I'm old enough to remember when Miranda left Dr. Robert Leeds (Blair Underwood, that hunk) because she was in love with Steve and told Steve in the washing room while looking for Brady's cake candle. And he was in love with her as well. "And Debbie?" "Debbie is great, but Miranda... You are the one!" (Magda almost caught them, but she knew). That whole Che Diaz thing was awful. #JusticeforSteve
Plus how she treated Steve when he cheated.
That was LONG time ago now and things change in relationships. People fall out of love all the time.

I haven’t watched any of the reboot but the script is so weird so many empty sentences that don’t bring anything to the storyline. But I guess the writers were more worried about diversity !

why do they refer to che as THEY , they is plural and unless che has multiple personalities, which i suspect she/he has, she/he is still singular. Why don't they refer to che as IT ? That's the neutral pronoun not They !

Okay so this is fascinating. They were extremely tone deaf and out of touch before. But fun. Now they’re trying desperately to be woke so they’ve brought diverse characters on, but they’ve made them awful and unbearable (here for example Seema can only write a check, she can’t be bothered to lift a finger). Nothing is fun anymore and they’ve also managed to kill the characters we once loved (making everyone hope Steve hooks up with Debbie and Miranda catches deathly Covid). Interesting.

Seema is a lady boss. It's not here scene to do some heavy work. I think it's realistic. Not everyone is willing to so whatever other people tell them to do.
