Cuba does not have routine gun mass shootings, like the dark side of America. While far from wealthy, Cuba does not have anything near the homeless problem of America.
America has been ruthlessly undermining and batting down Cuba, then hypocritically mocking its "failure", for a long time.

Ask them if they would rather be there or USA.

@JamesQuintero7 I recall one woman saying that she feared if Cuba started becoming too Americanized, that they might start having school shootings, that they had never had before. One of the reasons that many Cubans want to leave is that America, the 500-pound gorilla, does everything in its power to undermine the Cuban economy. It is a bit hypocritical for America to boast about any discontent in Cuba, considering how America tries very hard to create that discontent.

@@tom-kz9pb They can't speak against their government. How they have to live is all they know. Her sentiment may have been due to wanting favor from the government or just the perception of Americans as rude and cocky. Their government is trash, keeping people down economically will politicians enjoy the spoils. Freedom is better than anything the government can provide. The people are beautiful but unfortunately their culture has lost meaning because their government is their culture. If America were to make Cuba a territory, it can maintain it's culture but enhance the lives of the people with economic growth. In 2025, the people have no reason to be living is such conditions.

Very eye-opening! What are some of the challenges that people in Cuba face on a daily basis that aren’t often discussed? How does the government or society address these issues, and how do the people adapt to their circumstances?

Cuba will be poor all the time unless changes to western style of economy, change of government and brace capitalism.

@@trtyuiop No because their government is trash and don't know what freedom means. They want a free market but don't allow the people to progress and keep them poor.
