The whole point of the deck is to get rid of all other cards. This deck is built with a good amount of draw, and removal ensuring that there are no wrong cards left to draw. The deck creates an effective deck size of 5, forcing the win.
Jetfire/Quasar this is how probability works, exodia first hand is like 1/650000 or 0,00015%. You have to shuffle and draw cards until you get probabilities to your side. Even at 10 cards left and you shuffle with Mallet 5 cards you have 1/120 to get exodia or 1,2% to draw it. Exodia ftk pushes only on draw power and recycles cards, and this exodia banned sucks, use Makyura(send it with painful choice) plus lot of trap draw

That was actually very skillful. Convincing an opponent to actually sit there and just watch you play solitaire, rather than just quitting because you're playing a deck that literally can't lose... that's some serious negotiation skills.
Actually, it has a surprisingly high chance of losing. There are five exodia cards, one Blue-eyes toon dragon, three Thunder dragons, three trade-ins, three high level normal monsters and three toon spells in the deck. That's 18 potentially junk cards, meaning almost half of a deck. Or let's say 17, since 4 parts of exodia can screw you over, the fifth would grant you the win. There's also no monster recovery from the GY, meaning that once you discard one Exodia part, you're screwed. And given the large amount of junk cards, even recyclers have a surprisingly large chance of screwing you up. So I'd say this FTK deck is actually quite faulty.
Yeah it's more of a 1 in 100 decks and every single duel you don't instantly win you are guaranteed to lose. And if you go second chances are you will lose no matter what happens.

Ban lists are made because they aren't fun to play against. An unbeatable strat with no counterplay is no longer skill. But if the only way you can win is by using an auto win deck then I guess you wouldn't enjoy the game played as it was meant to be, huh.

i seen many exodia decks that could summon it/draw your deck in 1 turn without having to use forbidden cards. having white stone of legend with the one that discard a tuner to draw 2 along with bewd using those that draw 2 cards from discarding an 8* and super rejuvanation. just have to keep count on hiw many dragons you discarded or lose by deck out (exodia doesn't prevent you losing by deckout from that even if you summon it mid draw)
He wins a game by using all 5 pieces of Exodia. If you have all 5 cards in your hand, you automatically win, no exceptions. He uses cards that give him +2 cards from the deck for free and also constantly discarding cards to the graveyard, since there's a limit to how many cards you can hold.
This kind of thing reminds me of when my neighbor wanted to play hide and seek. Rules were he had to be tagged out, not just found. He'd hide in the car and lock the door.
in 2004, I enter a tournament using a water structure deck and I added the 5 pieces of Exodia to the deck lol we both shuffled each others deck and the first 5 cards I drew were Exodia. Everyone was like "WTF"..."This guy is the king of fukn games" I was shocked and Happy. I didnt win the tournament lol I got eliminated right after but drawing Exodia like that made my day.
the irony for me is that, while playing story mode of this game, I did the reverse duel against yugi with the Exodia story deck, my opening hand was the arms and legs of Exodia, and the first card I drew was the head, instant one turn win by pure chance
John Barry I did this irl with an Ojama deck. I run Exodia in there because Ojamas are ass. First hand was the body parts of Exodia and a Mirror Force. First card was the head.
My friend and I were playing yugioh in 5th grade one time. He was using the exodia deck from yugi's legendary decks and when he drew his 1st 5 cards he got all 5 exodia pieces.
It's even more fun when you're playing against Light Sworns, it just becomes too easy to deck them out.Just add in a few survival cards like Battle fader or Swift Scarecrow

If you would not strictly play for milling your own deck down to nothing else but the Exodia-cards, you risk to play on chance of drawing them - so there would be then a chance to not be lucky. S1erra 107 I don’t fell like doing the math right now, especially when I’d have to account for varying deck sizes, but I acknowledge that the odds are exceedingly slim. If we assume the deck is about the same size as a standard poker deck the odds would be comparable to those of drawing a royal flush, the point is the odds are non-zero. Plus if you have all of the pieces in your deck, if you can just delay the duel for long enough you WILL eventually draw them all. Just stack your deck with a bunch of high defense normal monsters, wabokus, mirror forces, enchanted javelins, remove traps, etc. and wait for the inevitable. There is just no way for an auto-win condition to be balanced. Either it’s too powerful, or it’s next to impossible to pull off and as such is pointless to include in your deck. I was just trying to make a joke but if you want to argue rules and semantics that works too.
Ghorda9 in that case the odds become a fair bit better than those of drawing a royal flush since their are less cards and as such a higher ratio of exodia to non-exodia cards. Either way my argument doesn’t change, no auto win card could ever be perfectly balanced in a competitive scenario.

The Avatar I wouldn’t exactly say age has anything to do with skill. It’s just the amount of time you put in a game to learn everything about every map when it comes to COD or any other first person shooter.
@@mideviltrey Age has a lot to do with skill because your reaction times decrease when you get older, it depends on the genre though so it's a lot more skill dependent in something with a lot of mechanical skill like Fighting Games or RTS than something that's all decision making like Chess or Yugioh.
You can make a legal exodia ftk ocg deck that has 100% winrate if you draw on your first turn. Also the tcg version is almost 100 winrate if you draw on your first turn.
The TCG-legal version of Exodia FTK is vastly inferior to other current FTKs (or even non-FTK decks relevant in the current meta) even if it still had the ability to draw on its first turn. With neither Pot of Greed nor Graceful Charity, you cannot guarantee drawing your deck and as a result if one piece ends up in the bottom quarter or so of your deck you lose. Exodia is, surprisingly enough after seeing this, too slow to compete effectively in the modern game whether going first or second, especially in a format where Ash Blossom is frequently maindecked and nearly always sided. The consistency problems the deck has also come into play with the match format used by tournaments. Can you FTK twice? I hope so, because if you whiff it once you will most likely lose on your opponent's turn.

Graceful charity and pot of greed are just way too overpowered of cards. Upstart goblin only allows you to draw 1 card at the cost of giving your opponent 1,000 life points, yet pot of greed allows you to just draw a flat 2 cards; thinning your deck; making your win condition more present. No wonder why they banned these cards.
It seems like every half way decent card is banned. People are stupid and like to whine thats why things are banned. There is pretty much always a counter to something if you are willing to implement good enough strategy. Its kind of like in pokemon when people ban legendary pokemon just because they don't know strategies or ways to put them in check.

Drawing two cards at no cost is broken, summoning up to five Xyx in the first turn and setting at least three trap cards is, however, perfectly fine. YGO is a mess. Konami doesn't really use banlists to try to balance the game anymore, just to nerf old archetypes and force players to buy the new archetypes that are just as broken.

i seen many exodia decks that could summon it/draw your deck in 1 turn without having to use forbidden cards. having white stone of legend with the one that discard a tuner to draw 2 along with bewd using those that draw 2 cards from discarding an 8* and super rejuvanation. just have to keep count on hiw many dragons you discarded or lose by deck out (exodia doesn't prevent you losing by deckout from that even if you summon it mid draw)

He wins a game by using all 5 pieces of Exodia. If you have all 5 cards in your hand, you automatically win, no exceptions.
He uses cards that give him +2 cards from the deck for free and also constantly discarding cards to the graveyard, since there's a limit to how many cards you can hold.

in 2004, I enter a tournament using a water structure deck and I added the 5 pieces of Exodia to the deck lol we both shuffled each others deck and the first 5 cards I drew were Exodia. Everyone was like "WTF"..."This guy is the king of fukn games" I was shocked and Happy. I didnt win the tournament lol I got eliminated right after but drawing Exodia like that made my day.

If you would not strictly play for milling your own deck down to nothing else but the Exodia-cards, you risk to play on chance of drawing them - so there would be then a chance to not be lucky.

And pot of greed is a card that has no drawbacks and no restrictive criteria in order to work. It’s why Call of the Haunted is legal but Monster Reborn isn’t
S1erra 107 I don’t fell like doing the math right now, especially when I’d have to account for varying deck sizes, but I acknowledge that the odds are exceedingly slim. If we assume the deck is about the same size as a standard poker deck the odds would be comparable to those of drawing a royal flush, the point is the odds are non-zero.
Plus if you have all of the pieces in your deck, if you can just delay the duel for long enough you WILL eventually draw them all. Just stack your deck with a bunch of high defense normal monsters, wabokus, mirror forces, enchanted javelins, remove traps, etc. and wait for the inevitable. There is just no way for an auto-win condition to be balanced. Either it’s too powerful, or it’s next to impossible to pull off and as such is pointless to include in your deck.

The Avatar I wouldn’t exactly say age has anything to do with skill. It’s just the amount of time you put in a game to learn everything about every map when it comes to COD or any other first person shooter.
@@mideviltrey Age has a lot to do with skill because your reaction times decrease when you get older, it depends on the genre though so it's a lot more skill dependent in something with a lot of mechanical skill like Fighting Games or RTS than something that's all decision making like Chess or Yugioh.

BANNED Exodia Deck.
You can make a legal exodia ftk ocg deck that has 100% winrate if you draw on your first turn. Also the tcg version is almost 100 winrate if you draw on your first turn.
The TCG-legal version of Exodia FTK is vastly inferior to other current FTKs (or even non-FTK decks relevant in the current meta) even if it still had the ability to draw on its first turn. With neither Pot of Greed nor Graceful Charity, you cannot guarantee drawing your deck and as a result if one piece ends up in the bottom quarter or so of your deck you lose.
Exodia is, surprisingly enough after seeing this, too slow to compete effectively in the modern game whether going first or second, especially in a format where Ash Blossom is frequently maindecked and nearly always sided.
The consistency problems the deck has also come into play with the match format used by tournaments. Can you FTK twice? I hope so, because if you whiff it once you will most likely lose on your opponent's turn.

Graceful charity and pot of greed are just way too overpowered of cards. Upstart goblin only allows you to draw 1 card at the cost of giving your opponent 1,000 life points, yet pot of greed allows you to just draw a flat 2 cards; thinning your deck; making your win condition more present. No wonder why they banned these cards.

It seems like every half way decent card is banned. People are stupid and like to whine thats why things are banned. There is pretty much always a counter to something if you are willing to implement good enough strategy. Its kind of like in pokemon when people ban legendary pokemon just because they don't know strategies or ways to put them in check.
Tiny Fire Cat From Space Yes. Pot of Greed is broken. Drawing two cards at no cost is broken, summoning up to five Xyx in the first turn and setting at least three trap cards is, however, perfectly fine.
YGO is a mess. Konami doesn't really use banlists to try to balance the game anymore, just to nerf old archetypes and force players to buy the new archetypes that are just as broken.
