@@fantastical674 in this mod he is, but this isn't anywhere close to the alex in the original pointless. Easiest example is when he killed an old man and his dog in undeniable murder. It can be argued that its not what the 'canon' Alex would do, but I have a feeling monster update Alex will lean towards my view of him.
@@diming7616 I will say that you are right. Alex is a nice guy but he doesn't seems to be the type to encourage other or motivate others. In the original game he just your casual guy not as wholesome as SOTWS depicted. Still though it's not that out of character for Alex imo.
darry is the best npc in lisa tbh if he actually tries to harm someone he can end them because he never used hes real power it was hard to defeat bosses and darry partys the most instead of harming
This was an unexpected thing for me,but it was wholesome. The best thing is that I discovered this on my own,so my feels were pure. And that scene where Alex and Darry hug each other. Damn. It's almost like that campfire scene.
That optional scene where Alex convinces Darry to come with him is a great note to end the GI chapter on. If I had to be nitpicky, I would maybe say the dialogue is a little on the long side, but it goes together perfectly with the subplot of Alex rejecting the trash lifestyle in vanilla Pointless. Darry resolving to turn from the ruin and go forward is such a powerful refutation of the "communion of cellophane's" gloomy, death-obsessed ideology, especially in conjunction with what just happened (IE, Roland pointlessly sacrificing himself to defend a lifestyle he doesn't enjoy at the behest of a community that unanimously hates him).
I can see people complain the dialogue being a little long but I can see why. For me I love it long besides this type of moment in LISA games are rare. And about Roland at the end it's not all that pointless he gained some respect from that community other than that yeah...
Georgie makes it really hard to be even remotely sad he mutates (and gets WF-slammed by Brad & company). I was pretty bummed even though I knew Darry wasn't gonna come with us but confused why Alex doesn't even question or address it when he clearly wanted him to tag along on GB. ...but then I remembered what happens to either party member we get afterward and lose all problems with that ending.

This is just my theory but I think Darry could've been 1 of the 3 silhouettes that were teased in the 2nd update for SOTW. Idk if there's evidence of this in the files of the game so I'm kinda just talking out my ass til JC Jimmy gives us more info on what was planned. There is a bug that locks you out of this cutscene. If you shag all bags but the bag in rag maggots area is not the last one, game will skip the part where Darry says you that you are ready. This will lead to a cutscene of him deciding to stay on island
