5th Avenue in Downtown Playa del Carmen - This place is AWESOME!!! Paradisus All-Inclusive Resort

- We start our first full day in Mexico with a huge order of room service at Paradisus Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Resort. When you have a dining table as big as the one in our room, this is a must!!! After locating the gym, and a quick workout for Jason, we order a taxi and head downtown.
We have heard for years that a must do in this area is to go to 5th Avenue in downtown Playa del Carmen, so this is where we are heading. Such a cool area! There are shops of all kinds for touristy stuff or regular shopping for clothing, etc as we would find in the US. And the restaurants... so many to choose from that this was a hard decision! But we ended up wandering a little off of 5th down to the beach to a spot called Zenzi. We were just going to stop for a COLD beer but loved it so much there we ordered food and stayed for a while. We spent quite a few hours wandering the area and determined this will be a spot we return to!

Awesome room service!!! U do wave tacos in Mexico. Those turtles are awesome!!! Think crust pizza is awesome!!! Coffee is needed. It’s awesome that there is a Beach on the main shopping street.

Great vlogs as always.Only been to Playa del Carmen once but loved it,very similar vibe to a Spanish tourist resort. Usually only do cruises but maybe an all inclusive resort is on the cards when things calm down...

I stayed one whole summer in downtown Cancun. I wish i had picked Playa Del Carmen. Maybe I'll go there again when this darn virus thing settles down. I subbed you guys.
You guys should visit the Cenotes. We did the giant one on the tour bus to the Pyramids, but also one day we paid a taxi guy to take us to the jungle where we all swam (including the driver) in an underground Cenote. I'll never forget it. It was the most amazing thing I've ever done. I mean it was deep underground.
Oh also I cant remember the name but there is a killer amusement park, actually several, in Playa Del Carmen.
We went to the cenotes on our last trip in December. Such a cool experience!

No negative test or quarantine required. You will complete a health questionnaire at the airport and upon arrival at your resort.

Those are Coatimundis. They are kind of like Raccoons. We love Play but we've never done an all inclusive yet. One of these days we need to try one.

You only saw half of Fifth Avenue. Go back to your starting point and walk the opposite way and you will find tons more stores, restaurants, etc. etc.. Also don't miss the side streets and parallel streets. They have hops and cheaper restaurants. Hay a great time and relax and enjoy.

It was fine. They are just making improvements.
Not sketchy. They tore up 5th Ave to redo it and work went slow at first during the summer, but they have made great progress the last few weeks.

I’ve cancelled three trips to Playa del Carmen this year because WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. I go there a lot. I’ve also skipped many other trips, including to South America, this year BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. I haven’t traveled to see family and won’t be BECAUSE IF THE PANDEMIC. Why do people like you think it’s OK to just casually travel around when others take the pandemic seriously? And don’t get me started on your terrible mask wearing.
ScubaSteve, I understand your choice not travel, and I have also cancelled several vacations due to the pandemic. However, I think to post this on someone's vacation VLOG clearly shouting "WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC" is rude and distasteful. Again, I get it, and have also chosen to not travel right now. But, if someone else has a different choice of what works for them, respect that. Just my opinion.
