Are there age restrictions on test driving or purchasing a vehicle? There are some age restrictions. You do have to have a valid drivers license and be 16 in order to test drive. You can test drive by yourself.
In order to purchase a vehicle, you have to be 18 or older, or have a valid drivers license with a parent or guardian that go on the contract and title with you.
