I love seeing Jabari workng on his game. Ngl I have been a lil iffy about him especially when it came to his free throws bc it always seemed like it was him getting fouled and not making at least 1 of his shots that could either make us or break us, but I do believe he has the potential to be an elite shooter. I'm hoping that this szn we will see his growth. Let's go Rockets 🚀🚀🚀 and let's go Jabari!
Jabari gotta keep working on it. He can get there. He has all the tools and he just gotta figure it out all out. Creating his own shot was an issue , hopefully this will help him out.
Not a lifetime but we start young. I have a mode where I hit every shot and it comes from hours and hours in the gym daily... Then putting it to work versus all different types of players/competition.
Jabari is more like Robert Horry just catch and shoot they got no handle or any other skillset. KD skillset required good ball handle the ability to go anywhere Jabari doesn’t have that
@@321thachfact is player like Robert Horry will be much more sought after new CBA contract whom are lower on a price tag but plays very important part of winning chip. Jabari will be 3rd best player in championship team at the best which is very good position to be in but most fans wants another KD out of him.
appreci8 yall sharing this. this is gr8 inspiration. also shows how gr8 these guys are because of the work they put in while people sit on the couch to watch them
The best part about these videos to me is getting the insights into why you’re doing these drills and what you should be thinking/looking for when translating it to a real game 🫡
Its like kds shot is already going up once hes finished the breakdown dribble .. which is very dangerous because he has the ability to cancel that out with another move lol
Fr kd a 7ft sg and jabari as of rn is more of a stretch big but if he keeps his foot on the gas and especially working out with a scoring maestro like kd we'll see more on ball creation
Jabari just turned 21 past months so he does have many years to get better but KD is one of the kind shooter that only handful will be compared to. Jabari is more of modern day stretch big who can switch 1-5 on a PnR so more of versatile defensive player who can shoot.
36% was respectable and he was stretching floor for the team last season. Reason for his lower percentage was due to no one other thanFVV demanded a defender outside the arc so both were heavily guarded but FVV had Sengun PnR to loose a defender while Jabari had no set plays for him. Once Cam and Reed becoming a rotation will open up other players to shoot much more open 3s
@@AkagiRedSun Nah I know all that, I watched a lot of rockets this year. I wasn't saying anything bad about him. I'm a fan of Jabari I just think he could've made a higher percentage even this year considering his percentage on wide open 3's was about 38%.
Well he was playing right next to the best of the best. I don’t think there aren’t many players who’s willing to do shoot around right after KD while filming.
These guys are Fckn amazing.. even if it’s shooting drills, half ass, summer time workouts, they make it look so easy no wonder they went 2 n 3 in the draft n make millions & millions..
Jabari Smith Jr looks to be a valuable and great role player that provides versatility on both ends. But he has potential to emerge into a superstar by developing and incorporating a few elements to his game that could unlock all of his great attributes
Watching Jabari working out with KD makes me so excited for the future of the Rockets. If he can bring even....60% (?) of what KD does...the league is in trouble, especially considering the rest of the talent the young Rockets have.
Those finesse moves work great when there’s no contact. Once people start playing harder n knocking off your spot in the playoffs, alot of those moves become less effective. Thats why guys with power moves like Jokic and Giannis still thrive in the playoffs.
We all know KD gonna knock ‘em down but Jabari was getting buckets too barely saw a miss from him looking for big things from him year 3 upgrades on the way
Jabari needs to work on his lower body strength. He got great release but his lower half seems to take shortcut of doing full motion which makes him inconsistent shooter when game goes on. Once he work on that he’s gonna be very good player
No knock on Jabari, but this is why it’s dangerous to compare every 6”9 shooter to KD. It’s more than the shot, his footwork and fluidity are what make Durant a guard with size and not just a shooting big. I feel Jaden Mcdaniels could benefit from a workout like this as well.
If Jabari picks up any of this he'll be lethal on the pullups at his size. I think KD is the wrong guy for him to learn from though. He'll fall in love with playing like him when he's even more of an inside thread who could get 4-5 easy baskets with moves around the rim a game, THEN take it outside. His problem is that he thinks he's a SF.
Love seeing Jabari work on his game with someone like KD to take that next step. My Rockets gonna be a force in the future for sure🚀🚀

KD is so silky smooth with that jumper. Just effortless. He's 6'11, and when he raises up, that shot is hard to block.
I like what I'm seeing from Jabari. I think the dude is going to be legit.

My youngin Jabari Smith working with KD this off season. I c a break out season for Jabari 💯
Sir Trainer wow!!! You make them realize and flow their skills!!!
The best part about these videos to me is getting the insights into why you’re doing these drills and what you should be thinking/looking for when translating it to a real game 🫡
Idk how to explain it but KD looks like a big guard doing those moves but Smith looks like a mobile big doing them
Yup, Jabari is 80-90% of the way there, but KDs footwork and movement are somewhat sharper and cleaner. No wasted movement.
Its like kds shot is already going up once hes finished the breakdown dribble .. which is very dangerous because he has the ability to cancel that out with another move lol
