I'm glad cruise lines are offering more cabins for people who choose to cruise alone or want their own cabin. This is a very nice cabin, I would book it.
Beautiful cabin I wish more cruise-lines would accommodate solo travellers, and not keep treating us as second-class citizens.

I’ve stayed in NCL’s studio for an 11 day cruise and even tho it was only 99 square feet it had everything I needed - for a short cruise. I’m 28 days away from getting on the Bliss for a 21 day cruise from L.A. to N.Y. via the Panama Canal and I have a balcony cabin. When I was looking for my next cruise this one listed the starting price for a studio was more than a balcony! Yes, less! So the lesson to take away from this - always check the options! And yes, I wish Carnival would have options for solo travellers.

That cabin is way bigger than the interior studios on NCL. PLENTY of room for 1 - I’d definitely book this category.
Also quite a bit more expensive and more difficult to book. The Studio interior cabins on Royal are similar to NCL's though, I've sailed in both...

Great solo cabin, don't mind obstructed view because still can see the glorious ocean
My feeling is that Princess seems to be one of the few cruise lines that do not offer Solo Cruisers any discounts or Solo cabins, that said their Balcony rooms are very spacious giving you just over 230 sqft of living area, if your on a lengthy cruise you really want that space to move around and not bash your head on some object or corner. Great Video.👌🏼
That cabin is just about as big as our interior cabin on our first cruise 17 years ago! Very nice to have the balcony.

Great solo cabin!!! So glad to see the newer ships have a U.S. plug by the bed because many of us need to sleep with CPAP machines and they don't have USB ports. :-) Also, the bathroom is a BIG PLUS as the Solo Cabins at NCL have all the solo cabins as interiors, with the bathroom in the room and not separated by a door!! Oh my.

The magnetic sign to put outside of our door on Liberty of the Seas said 'Out catching thrills' on one side and 'Sleeping off the adventure' on the other. Our problem. We would forget to flip it over when we left and our room wouldn't get cleaned. :-( One day we didn't put the sign out at all. Later the steward said he came in. His comment about it. 'You guys were zonked'.

I've seen pics on their website of this type room and the other type that looks like you're almost sharing a room with another family. I hope doubles leave these for singles as I read they allow 2 people. Good on RCL for making rooms with balconies for us solo travelers. 👏🏼

This solo balcony cabin is so nice. Much bigger than the solo cabins on some of the NCL ships (with the shower in the cabin - not in the bathroom)!
I could even fit my scooter in this cabin!!
Someday - maybe I’ll try the Anthem of the Seas solo balcony!

Booked interior guarantee on carnival liberty for 3 and it was 1/2 this size but we made it work for 4 nights! Yours looks awesome!

I was on anthem of the seas in a solo cabin leaving from new Jersey ams it looks identical to the one i had wven the balcony i loved it my balcony was bigger then some of the others regular balconies

I have never seen a solo cabin available on Royal Caribbean until recently. I booked Odyssey of the Seas for a sailing out of Rome in 2025 and saw a solo balcony and grabbed it. It was significantly less expensive than a regular balcony! I'm so glad I ran across this video because it's probably the same cabin as on the Odyssey.
I've booked 7250 on ovation of the seas for a for day cruise out of Sydney in January 2022. Royal seems to have done a great job on these cabins. Thanks for doing this video Tony, I'm much more comfortable with my cabin choice.

Great Review Tony. It's good to know there's a single cabin option with a balcony. I cruised once in a solo cabin on the NCL Bliss and it was a great experience. Having a balcony would've been a plus. Please let me know which camera you are using.

Nice cabin! It appears to have plenty of space and i think it is very comparable to the cabin i had on carnival.
Wow, that's a nice size cabin, and I love that they provide a teapot! I just started traveling solo and would not hesitate to book a room in that size cabin. I don't like Norwegian's solo cabins because most tend to be interiors, and I'm too claustrophobic to cruise in an interior cabin.
The pics seem like it is REALLY small, cramped...is that true? I take my first ever cruise next mth and solo interior cabin
@@lerhondajones-bates3324 Cruise cabins have less free space than hotel rooms, however you should have enough room for yourself in a solo cabin. Most cruise lines provide the size and layout of cabins on their websites.

The kettle is to heat water, only water should be put in this to heat to boiling.

I was hoping it had its own bathroom instead of having to share with someone else, and finally you got to it, lol I agree that it is great for a single person traveling alone, and maybe I could afford something like that, who knows. Thank you for showing this.

Wow Tony, I just searched for room 6652 and found your video on Spectrum!! I just booked this exact same room on Odyssey!! I am guessing it's going to be 100% the same, nice larger balcony compared to the other studio rooms too!!!
Your stateroom looks awesome Tony. Very roomy and comfortable looking for a solo traveller and a fabulous sized balcony. I would be very happy in there. I do love when you try on the shower for size lol.

I'm a solo traveler and always pay double...(usually no options for single cabins with balconies...). But I've grown to hate those tiny stools even in the full size cabins since I spend a lot of time in my cabin typing on my laptop several times a day. So, I now demand a chair and will choose my cabin / cruise line accordingly. I also want a large work area and not something that is small and littered with the things I never use... trays with Tea Kettles, etc. I know the cruise line expects no one to need/want to use a desk and and do work but I'm an exception. Thanks Tony.

Thanks for the video. After watching yours, I just book the studio cabin #7750, the one immediate above and to the left, for Dec sailing. I think #7750 should have an unblocked balcony view.

I love that room! I had an interior on Mariner of the Seas and it looked only a smidge smaller than the one I was in! I have to ask though, your magnets, do you and Jenny collect them from every where you go? I've been collecting mine for years!!

what a great cabin! I'm having a difficult time right now, I have triplets and they USED to be tiny enough to not worry lol but now they're getting bigger. Cabins for 5 are pretty hard to get! Any advice?
I think its a great size, thanks for showing. It's too bad Princess doesn't have this, our friends were to go on a cruise with us on the Sky, sadly her husband died and now she actually cancelled because she would still have to pay as if he was with her. Princess needs to get on board with solo cruisers....

Looks like a really nice cabin for one, but I would want at least one chair with a back to it for the "desk".
Our interior on the Carnival Vista was a lot small! We had 3 people with the ceiling pull down!

I cruising on Ovation of the Seas in a studio balcony as I’m watching your video.They are identical.Im on deck 7 and don’t see any life boats.
Have a look at the solo cabins on Saga. Equally nice and perhaps a bit bigger.
Considering that the Quantum Class ships are all very similar, I would take it! It's not a half size room like other ships.
It's not bad, the balcony helps. I've traveled solo in an interior and I think there 's a little more room in the interior. The Interior seems to have a little more walking room which is better for storage purposes. Still this single is nice.
Yes, Carnival needs to get on board. I love traveling with my husband but I get more vacation time than him, hehe.
And heck yes, don't complain about the obstacle by the balcony...you could probably be sure to get on one, if something happened, lol. Just hop on the top of one!
This is very nice. I'm booked on NCL Getaway Transatlantic. The solo cabins were sold out,so I asked for a balcony. My cost went way up. I don't believe I got much if any solo discount on my balcony cabin.
I would love to be in that cabin especially with a balcony. The ones I've booked had no balcony.

Our interior room on Grandeur of the Seas was definitely way smaller than that. The bed went the other way and both had to turn sideways to get into bed. Slightly bigger closet maybe but a smaller washroom and shower for sure. And washroom had step up.

Tony, when you pay for a specialty dining experience, can you order multiple items like you can in the main dining room? Does that answer vary from cruise lines?

What Royal Carbien ship are you in and what was the cost and can you add a drink package I love fancy coffee?
On a short cruise (eg, a few days), can you put a 'do not disturb' sign outside if you don't want any cleaning crew to go into your cabin 24/7?
