That is a great setup you have there! This is the B150, I suppose? I am buying a B80 next week, so I watch and read everything about the Brewtools systems at the moment. I'll definitely brew your beer, the pouring at 16:50 is sooo sexy! 😍 Time to get some nitro!

Yup, this is on a B150 but everything applies the same to the B80. Congrats on getting a B80 soon! You'll love it. Hit me up if you ever have questions :)

When you pushed the beer through the system with co2 would it not make more sense to not push it through the pumps? Maybe have the co2 input on the other side of the b150 and unsure about the other pump, maybe create a bypass for it?

We input the CO2 just after the Brewtools pump, but yeah, it does go through the Riptide pump. Haven't had any problems. As long as the pump isn't trying to run I don't see it being an issue, but certainly a bypass could work too :)

Nice Yeti, I thought they were for dentists though, not brewers! :)

😂 brewers buy the 7 year old Yetis off dentists 😛

A Yeti is a Yeti looks like a great place for MTB! Came across your channel as I was looking into getting a B80. I have it now, but no 220v installed yet, I still stare at it in all its glory though every day, can't wait to brew on it.
Also a Yeti owner (sb150 and sb100), not a Dentist either, just poor from my wonderfully expensive hobbies!

Great videos, what pressure did you set your 80/20 to for carbonation and serving? I'm having a bugger of a time getting a pressure that gives sufficient vols of CO2 and doesn't shoot out of the tap at 100mph, have a flow control tap but the smallest tweak goes from no flow to a pint a second!

I'm typically aiming for approx 2 bar (30 psi) for the beer gas mix pressure. I also, have had the beer slightly carbonated (to approx. 1 vol) beforehand. Beer coming out super fast at these pressures if you don't have flow control taps is certainly issue. One way to possibly address this is increase the line length of that tap. Right now I have a new kegerator that I bought as a kit and the line lengths it came with are WAYYYY to short in my opinion. So my new kegerator is certainly pouring a bit too fast verses my old one with the only change being line lengths (added resistance). Let me know if you have more questions! We can get this dialed :)

@@BentGateBrewing thanks! I’m at around 35psi currently. Unfortunately this is a keg with the tap directly mounted, it’s in my can/bottle fridge as the keg one is full! Might try and jerryrig something in the fridge to mount the tap on and then use a metre or two of 3/16” line. Really don’t want to mount taps on the front of this fridge as it’s in the garden shed with the lawnmower and all the other ‘might come in useful’ shite a gentleman like myself gathers over the years.
