Unfortunately Nancy Walls was never given much to do when she was on SNL for the one season. I believe this and a few other eps gave her any real material.
It’s not just sitting hoping to be given a chance. You’re also expected to suggest, create, write AND perform sketches.

@@vnv11600 Not sure what her being married to Steve Carell has anything to do with anything. She seems like a sweet person in real life, but other than this skit, I never found her particularly funny. Now Cheri Oteri/Molly Shannon on the other hand, hilarious.
