Noida
Noida came into administrative existence on 17th April 1976. The city was created under the UP Industrial Area Development Act in 1976 with initiatives of Sanjay Gandhi. Noida has always been an important center of trade and business and not only this, historians say that Noida is more than a business hub. Noida is believed to be the birth place of Ravana’s father. It is also believed that Guru Dronacharya from epic Mahabharta had his ashram in Noida, where the Pandavas and Kauravas used to train.
Noida was established as the part of urbanization uprising. Every year people celebrate 17th April as ´Noida Day´ with great zest and zeal.
Noida (Hindi: नोएडा) also known as New Okhla Industrial Development Authority is newly emerged and one of the most important city of Uttar Pradesh.
Noida, short for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is a planned city[5] located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Noida is a satellite city of Delhi and is a part of the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. As per provisional reports of Census of India, the population of Noida in 2011 was 642,381.[6] The city is managed by New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA).The district's administrative headquarters are in the nearby city of Greater Noida.
