My grandmother always had a pretty good sized elephant in her livingroom with it's trunk up of course, for good luck. To this day, even my daughter wouldn't dare buy anything with an elephant's trunk facing down because my grandmother made a point of telling her loved ones to only have trunks up. Neither of us have anything with an elephant on it in our homes, but if we did... Greetings from Orange County, California. 😩 the Rose Chintz is my pattern! It never shows up around here. What i have i found at an estate sale. Wishing I lived closer to there. I DEFINITELY would go and buy them.
Rose Chintz is so lovely, we just never know where our favorite patterns will show up... I have a set of rose dishes that I picked up about 30 years ago, and just cannot part with ...
A good rule of thumb is: if something is everywhere you go that probably means they probably aren't high in value. Collector plates for the most part aren't very valuable. But, like with everything there may be certain ones that may be worth picking up. I guess you'd have to do your homework.

Those tables at 2:21 time marker are probably "empire". Definitely not Deco.
