Anomaly Research Level Farming under 5 MINUTES | Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - Gold Rathian Killer

- The Abyssal Hailstorm LBG you get from Sunbreak's final boss is uhh, needless to say, pretty broken against certain matchups. Since the game classifies Goldian as an A7 monster, (currently) the highest type of Afflicted monster, you get hella Anomaly Research points for completing it, and this LBG makes it extremely easy to do so as long as you have the right build for it.
(TU4/TU5 EDIT: A7 is no longer the highest type of Afflicted monster as of Title Update 4 - A8 and A9 monsters are now available)
I've been a full-time Hammer and Horn main in this game, but this thing made me switch to LBG just for the ease of farming. Everyone knows that us Hammer users only have a singular brain cell that tells us: "Smash". But luckily for me, you don't need more than that singular brain cell to do this properly with the correct build (granted, roll augmenting can be a pain in the ass so you may be there for a while). I don't even have any prior experience of LBG in this game. The first time I used it was against Gold Rathian just to test this build out, and I've been doing it ever since. I know nothing about using it, save for what I've been told: "Get behind her, and shoot her in the legs with Spread Shot 3". That's all you need to know. Additionally, Negative Quest Modifiers will grant more bonus AR points, such as time limit, maximum participants, and allowed faints.
This build is dumb, hilarious, and effective.
(P.S. Don't be dumb like me. You should prioritize Spread Up over other skills)

Great run. Gold Rathian is one of the monsters I farmed as well. The other are Diablos and Seething, but they can be annoying sometimes 😂

Planning on using this build. The grind to ar 181 is painfully slow even with the modifiers that boost points.

I made the build currently on xbox tu3 and it doesn't crit is there sumthing I'm not doing right?
Your crit chance should be 100% factoring in these things:
Crit Eye 7

@@AzaratheFlea the problem is I'm not getting yellow numbers when I shoot the legs and tail on gold rathian
@@jeremiahmuskego9092 yellow numbers do not mean crits, they mean that you are hitting weakspots on the monster. Also, you should be really close for spread to be in critical distance.
The fact you forgot Spread Up and still got that time on Goldian really shows how dumb LBG is now tbh

How much points does this give ?
At the current level I did it, which in this video is in the 130s, it gives you just under a full bar of progress every completion. I'd say about 85% of a full bar. However it does eventually start to go down. I'm at the 180s now and I'm only getting about 70% of the bar every completion. Still quite a good boost though.

@@DarthCrohns It's also worth noting that the more negative modifiers your quest has (time limit, max participants, faints allowed, etc.), you get way more points. This quest in particular has a 35 min time limit and 2 max participants.
@AzaratheFlea I been farming silver Rath cus I think it's easier for some reason but I got some modifiers as you 2 part 35 minute and I get 1050 point at 158

Im using the gold rathian lbg but its about 6 min per hunt I can't seem to get the damage you do even when I copied your build
I'm looking at a direct comparison of the two bowguns and the Abyssal Hailstorm which you get from the final boss has significantly more raw damage than the Gold Rathian LBG. Despite the former having less affinity and slots, it will still out damage the Gold Rathian LBG
@@AzaratheFlea yeah I mean my slower time could be because Im already at level 200 and the hp is just so much higher. But yeah the abyssal has more dps but I hate the crit distance it has
Okay I've fully augmented the Goldian LBG for attack since it already has high base affinity, and I have it equipped with a set that I use to farm Goldian. The raw damage difference is higher than I thought. From my end, it's a difference of over 50 raw.
While everything else is more or less the same, Gaisma LBG also has a higher clip for Spread 3 which means you reload less especially with Spare Shot.
@@themeow-sician1664 ah yeah the 200 mark. I'm gonna upload another video soon hopefully, where I'm gonna mess around with decorations and skill roll stuff that we gain access to once we hit 200, and see if I can optimize the set further. I'll get back to you if so.
