    MVS has less slowdown, higher clocked more powerful M68000 and faster ROM/RAM, the home system is equiped with a slower CPU and memory.

      That's Very technical! Does that mean Metal Slug X would BARELY lag less in MVS mode? The amount is so miniscule I never noticed !

      @@kyokusagani8869 I know for a fact that some MVS boards came equipped with a "newer" model of the cpu which is capable of running at higher clock speeds (16mhz), similar to those of the CPS1"dash" pcbs (Captain Commando, King of Dragons, SF2 Turbo etc) compared to the first CPS1 boards (Final Fight, Ghouls and Ghosts, Strider etc ) with a slower CPU, same happens here, while all of the Neogeo AES home systems came equiped with the same 12mhz 68000, some MVS systems have a faster version of the 68K that helps to reduce slowdowns in some games.

      Oh, another thing I forgot to mention is that the Home cartridges didn't had any RAM (or some sort of Video RAM) this RAM was included in the Console System itself, while the MVS had this extra RAM inside the cartridges, this could explain why MVS carts were more expensive to produce back then, but also explains the reduction in slowdonws since putting the RAM inside the cartridge made possible to install faster chips depending on the needs of the programmers.

      @@laumpolumpio Subbed, this is an incredibly detailed breakdown even I wouldn't have touched since i'm looking at the gameplay differences! I'm impressed!

    Mvs all the way. That one you give yourself up to 99 lives. 😊

      I play on the NeoGeo Mini and I never have enough lives to finish the game. It is very unforgiving. What's this about 5 players and 5 lives? Is that how you get 99lives? I don't think it's possible in the Mini, unfortunately.

    • @Theshark15z
      @Theshark15z 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chavawinnie1 No, the MVS has a dipswitch mode where you can enter the settings that adjust game difficulty, Turn the Blood on or off, select language and how many lives you will have per credit.

      @@Theshark15z Ye, the mini has that option too, but only 5 lives.
