I also think that fast food places are losing money because people are realizing that fast food is not good, not healthy, doesn’t add to your life, and it’s only good for when you genuinely need convenience. Hi guys, thanks for all this great information! I’m a social worker in a pretty stable area of the country in terms of housing and cost of living. My husband lost his job and developed a life threatening health condition simultaneously in fall of 2021 and didn’t have employment until last week. We survived bc we had bought a house we could afford on one salary and we drove old cars. I recently started a part time job on the side doing therapy in private practice bc we’ve had some expenses come up. But the corporate benefits and health insurance from my job are paramount to our survival. My question is, if gig work were to become the norm, those jobs come with no benefits. How do we address the insane costs of healthcare for people as they’re currently tied to our jobs? The insurance company I work for recently did layoffs and I don’t think we could survive if I was to lose our health care coverage. Fortunately my specialty area in the company provides supports to the a large amount of Medicaid and chip members so we don’t anticipate losing a lot of positions. But you just never know. Do you have thoughts on this issue with healthcare being tied to employment?
People work the W2 for the benefits. There needs to be a reputable and fair cost benefits market for your 1099 group. Hoping the health insurance market can change for the individual vs favor the larger companies that only provide their employees with favorable pricing...

I think housing is an important part of the equation. But, the friend-shoring and near-shoring boom is causing manufacturing to move back to the usa. So there is a good chance that the blue collar sectors remain strong for the coming years.
Walmarts are putting in self checkouts on all aisles except maybe 3-4 that have a person. At least, that’s what I’ve seen from the two I shop at. That’s where the layoffs are also coming from.
The issue is the emotional capacity to delay gratification and character to accept the responsibility to own our debts instead of seeking to pass on our debts to other people.
I am so confused by the idea that tax dollars pay government salaries. The US dollar is fiat, and must be issued by the US government. Therefore, more dollars cannot be taxed, than have been issued. We can reduce the money supply by running a surplus, but that is deflationary, as less dollars will be in circulation. And a continuous surplus in tax revenue would eventually consume all of the dollars in circulation. In reality, I think the combination of monetary and fiscal policy in the US, is simply a means of allocating and diverting resources based on the interests of the current government power structure.
I’m a self-employed contractor in Southern New Hampshire. Normally this time of year, I’m booked out 8 to 10 weeks. And working every weekend. They are unusually slow.
Hi. I’m an average student graduating with a bachelor of science this summer. I liked the perspectives in this video and wanted to share a bit about why I’m in debt. I admit it’s not just food and rent. To put it simply, I was stressed with studying away from home and spent much school money on a small vacation and an internship. Then we had a family emergency I helped with. Another thing is I couldn’t tolerate tooth pain and got 3 fillings with my insurance still under debate. I also pay for a storage unit since our apartments don’t store their insect infested furniture. I bought a car with my savings incase one of my siblings had an emergency. Lastly, I finally found a job and couldn’t bear not helping my mom on Mother’s Day, so I bought her a housekeeping service before I max out my credit cards on something else selfish or emotionally charged. Because of those things, now it’s hard to pay rent, buy food, and buy gas. So I use my credit card and am fervently hunting for a post grad job that can help. Thanks for listening.

Please don't apologize... people are making stupid choices... stupid people make study decisions..like buying very expensive cars and they have to become Uber drivers and now too many people Ubering!
I agree, I don't think things will change until we get to the 4.5 Percent unemployment. I think that's when a lot of the part-time jobs will Dry up. But if it hits the 5% unemployment, that's when the n75, to $100k jobs start drying up.
Why do i or my kid need to be good at something or win a prize in order to do something? The hell with that. We do things because we LIKE doing them. Why do the people need to win a prize, or be the " best" to do something? We don't care at all how we compare to others when its a RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY.
When I retired, 6 years ago, I was replaced by 3 Indians. One in the US, the other two in India. Back then they could get a contractor Sr engineer for $35K, new grad $12-15K

Work 'til you drop (onsite) is the retirement plan today. What is the point in a 401K that can never be collected?
The issue is the emotional capacity to delay gratification and character to accept the responsibility to own our debts instead of seeking to pass on our debts to other people.
TRUE WORDS ARE BEING SPOKEN . AMEN !!!
Such a great video! Full of some great points and insider information and opinions 🙏 Super Rad!
I’m a self-employed contractor in Southern New Hampshire. Normally this time of year, I’m booked out 8 to 10 weeks. And working every weekend. I’m currently booked out for five and have had my weekends to myself. My phone has not been ringing either. So I checked with other contractors I know and they all say the same thing. They are unusually slow.
Everyone i know it’s the same.
Is Obama's policies in place..
Travis, Todd, and Jack! Always love what all 3 of you have to say!
Thanks for listening.
no, no, everythings fine, ask biden. DOOM IN JUNE.
Awesome show...I only know what it takes to resist buying a SF in Maryland and trying to consolidate my debts and fighting my wife's temptation and social pressure 😢

Martin Armstrong says US inflation more than 20% ? Is he wrong?
Gentlemen, parents and even grandparents are helping to pay student loans. Not all are doing this, I must say. If not student loans... It is car loans, rent, etc.
I'm thinking the opposite, we will lose more full time work to part-time, companies already going to 32 hours work weeks.
