Yup, the back of the piercing hurting more than the front sounds VERY familiar! I had no problem cleaning the front, but I had to mentally prepare for cleaning the back of my piercing, lol.
I’ve had my conch done for about 2 years, it took me about a full year for it to be completely healed. Even sometimes now if I sleep on my ear funny or if hair gets caught around it it can still swell up. I think it’s such a cute and unique piercing good luck with your healing journey!!
I’ve always loved the way the conch piercing looks like but I was under the impression that it hurt a lot to pierce and also to heal. I think I’m definitely going to bite the bullet and get it. 😄
I have mine done, and it wasn't to bad to pierce or heal! My initial healing was about 6 weeks (i could sleep on it in about 4) and i have had it over a year, and its great! I have sensitive ears, and got some titanium jewelry (neometal!) and its perfect! no crusties or anything!
I have the double conch piercing and it’s one of my favorites. Of course it hurts but I would say that the healing process was worse than the piercing itself but it was also was my first big piercing. I didn’t really have keloids but that was me. I used distilled water and sea salt for a whole year because I kept having problems with it. I know the first night I slept on it because I’m a heavy sleeper and my body didn’t give a regard of it. I first changed them after more than a year because I didn’t have jewelry yet and it really wasn’t a first priority at that point. I get tongue jewelry for it sometimes because it hard to find conch jewelry, it’s a little long but if you’re okay with that then it should be fine. But yeah you should definitely get it everybody notices it and they always ask questions.
you should totally get it! i've got mine for 9 months now and i'm still very happy that i decided to get mine pierced. it's only the first two weeks that can be a bit rough because of the soreness but you should be fine! the pain is not extreme and it goes away very fast :)
It hurts, but I'd say it felt just like all my other cartilage piercings. Healing for me was a bitch. Got infected twice and took 10 months before I could change the jewelry, but I love it! It just looks so bad ass.

I got my conch pierced a couple months ago too & I LOVE it. It’s my favorite piercing. For me it was the most painful piercing I’ve gotten, it was sore for about a week, after that it hasn’t been sore at all! I thought it would be a pain to heal but it’s gone great so far!

I’ve had my conch pierced for about three years. I’m wearing a hoop in it with a cubic zerconia. I’ve changed the jewelry like three times lol I got pierced with a green stud then I had a cubic zirconia stud then I changed it to the hoop with the cubic zerconia. I’m not changing it anymore.

I just got mine done in August too! I got two in one ear though and plan on changing them to both hoops when they heal. Please make a video on how you clean yours!❤️

I just got my conch pierced last night! It was the first conch pierce my piercer had done and he did an amazing job! I got it pierced with a 14g needle and I have a cbr in it right now. The back of my piercing hurts like hell, like you said yours does. I didn’t really experience much bleeding. I’m happy with how mine looks!
I got my rook, tragus and conch done all within a few months of each other and the rook is my favourite out of the three. The rook heals a lot faster because it’s tucked into the ear so you really don’t have to worry too much about it. I totally recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting something other than the lobe!
Used to had mine for one year and a half but I retired it like 4month ago because he never healed properly and you can’t imagine how painful it was to look at you playing with your fingers on it 😭 I still can feel the pain ! Take care of this little guy

Sannah Bakker I have had my tragus pierced for 2 years now. Yes, you can wear earbuds with hoop jewelry, but it's more comfortable to wear a stud.
yes you can. i've my tragus pierced and i can were ear bugs. you can best put a piercing in which have a flat back or a hoop then you have no problem
I have both of my Tragus pierced and I can wear head phones with a horse shoe so I'm sure with a hoop you could also!

I’ve got a daith and a tragus on the same ear and they don’t bother me when wearing earbuds. I have to say that I waited a little with wearing them after I had them pierced (about 2/3 weeks, I think). If you keep cleaning the piercing thoroughly, you should be okay.
I got mine done a week ago and I was surprised how much It didn't hurt. I never hit it on anything I clean it 2 times a day and it's one of my easiest piercings ( industrial helix, and lip are more problematic for me). I'm also a boy with short hair cut so it may be different with girls but I definitely recommend it.

I've got my rook, daith, conch, belly and stretched ears to 9/16 but nothing scares me more then the initial piercing when the needle passes through the back! I wanted a hoop in my conch and had one for awhile after it healed... it was terrible. It got bumped a lot and just overall hurt to sleep on. I removed it and went back to a stud and that's where I'll stay. It's not as cute but I'd rather not be uncomfortable 😣.
Thinking about getting my snug done next, anyone have any thoughts?

It looks so cute! I wish I could get more ear piercings like the daith, and especially the conch. But I wear two hearing aids with full molding that takes up all my ear canal, so they wouldn't heal. It's sad but I still get to enjoy all my other piercings! 🤗❤

I want to get my conch pierced but I have a forward helix to rook orbital on my right ear that is still healing/really sore. And my right ear is pretty cluttered already so I would have to get my left conch pierced and I don’t know if I can deal with having both ears being sore and not being able to sleep on them ☹️
I got both my conches pierced (waited maybe 3 months between the 2) and for the first one it was a pressure pain but the second one was a "what the hell" pain for a split second. Would still recommend, I love them

Me & my mother got our conch’s pierced together. The guy didn’t let me choose my placement & I just had to like it b/c I wasn’t going to go through that again. I was pierced with a CBR & my mom was too, I still get crust to this day after almost 7 months. My most painful piercing after 19, but it looks so good!!

I have had my right conch pierced twice. The first time with a 14 g and it hurt too much and the second time with a 16g and it did not hurt (almost). It was only hurting from behind for the first 1.5 months. The first conch was done with a huge ring which i was knocking everywhere and suffered. I decided a couple of months later that i disliked the fact that it was too low and i got it repierced a bit higher. Then, the initial jewellery was a curved barbell, which was much better for healing
And we are almost ear twinsies except I don’t have my rook pierced. I have all the same seven ear piercings 😀
Conch piercings do nut hurt, i got mine pierced three months ago as well and it has healed perfectly fine! It looks awsome

So I got my cartlage piercing pierced with a 14g piercing but it is hard to find hoops that are 14g so what should I do???
You could use 16 or 18 g in it. Just make sure that the diameter of the hoop [not thickness] is big enough to be comfortably worn in that area.
I got both my conch done yesterday and I was scared that it would be very painful, they wound up being some of the easiest to get.
Also the back is tender for me too it's usual

Bug Catcher If you clean it in the shower that might be easiest, just make sure your hands are clean and then gently rub any crusties off with your finger.

Mona for me at least the rook didn't hurt I actually thought he couldn't get the needle in but the healing process was a bitch
Dont be! I got mine done a few days ago and it didnt hurt to get pierced. Probably a 4/10 and the healing so far has been good. Not sore at all, no throbbing etc xc

Hurts like a bitch , literally the most amount of pressure when the needle is going in but it’s bearable ,don’t be scared to get it honestly , healing process is a bitch but it’s bearable looking at around 6-9 months ; thought I’d be real lool

It’s never gonna heal, i had to take mine out after 6 months and my friend took it out after a year because it never heals
