Chinese people celebrate the Spring Festival through various means. They often pay tribute to their ancestors, decorate the house and cook up a storm for the family reunion on the Chinese New Year's Eve. This year, Uncle Hanzi will celebrate with Aunt Wu and her family, sending New Year wishes to you. He'll also share interesting backstories and fun facts about Chinese characters associated with the occasion.

i guess you could use it to mean prosperous in some contexts, like 福兴, 福荣, 福盛
but that's not common, mostly it will just be bliss, fortune, luck and happiness(幸福)- not sure if literally that can be put as "lucky luck" lmao, just joking maybe lucky fortune,
but yeah
prosperity is usually one of the four words from 繁荣昌盛
adjectives and noun usages in chinese being blurred is not new either, especially in classical text

yes under one confucian framework, which values interpersonal relationship to be the sacred form of "god" and there's not set universal values, everything plays out by finding common values and conformity, and that's why these individual religions introduced by many regions throughout history actually got to combine, though not always peaceful because no people in the world are ever truly saints, and people can call it a melting pot of religions too depends on the narrative, but anyhow, that's how it worked most of the time, Sociocentric and centralized with distinct social classes but kept together most of the time
I click in to see if I can learn something. Were surprised the moment I saw the first explanation of "fu" (福）as "prosperous". This is not correct; think it should mean "happiness". Next is that the left side of the character think should be representing "God" instead of "altar". The right side of character also doesn't mean "container". I didn't continue to watch the video. I thought someone should have edited this prior posting. (I'm a Chinese race and learned Mandarin & English.) Anyone please feel free to advise me if this is not correct. Thanks.
