Vintage HiFi Maintenance: Accuphase P-300

In this video I want to show some of what I do when with the equipment that I own. I've had my Accuphase P-300 for a couple of years, and I wanted to make sure everything was alright. Having old equipment, a lot of mishaps can be avoided by periodically inspecting and per-emptively adressing issues.
This video was filmed some time ago, but hadn't gotten around to finishing it up and publishing it - just so you know why my hair keeps changing ;)

I would enjoy a video showing how to properly clean the knobs and buttons. Mine have become noisy and I hate to ship the amp just for a cleaning.

If it's noisy, then it's contact cleaning and It's showned above around 5:10 - it's pretty easy: the entire idea is to get your contact cleaner between the contact and the carbon area of the switch or potentiometer. As mentioned in the video you need to use contact cleaner without lubrication for buttons or switches and contact cleaner with lubrication (some brands have cleaner and lubricator as seperate products) for knobs/potentiometers.
If you need to clean the physical knob (not the electrical component, but the metal knob) I usually use window-cleaner and an old toothbrush :)
