OMG this is so true! I finally met my husband at age 38, engaged in my 39th birthday, married less than a year later, 3 kids by age 41. (multiples) He was nothing like anyone I’ve ever dated before. I prayed that God would have to drop him in my lap. That’s pretty much what happened.
Of this is true, I'm glad it worked out for you, I'm at 37 going on 38 and waiting for my life to fall a part any moment, always helplessly watching everyone else around me getting all my dreams even my brother just got engaged even though anyone can see they're not a right fit and him not being ready, but everybody just excepts them, making a joke from childhood that a guy said a curse over my life to the point that I'm at a stage where I don't want anything anymore, maybe there is still hope for me too if you got engaged by 39 and married before 40. So true! Met my husband while I was traveling abroad. We lived in different countries…but found a way to eventually be together, he was also nothing like anyone I had dated before. A strong connection from the start. We got married on my 39th birthday, 2 kids by time I was 43! Keep praying. ❤️

Find all the scriptures about marriage (there are many, and mostly positive) and remind God what He said. Example: "Lord, Your Word says it is not good for man to be alone" Gen 2:18 Then declare, Lord if it's not good for a man to be alone, it is not good for woman to be alone. Thank You Lord for making me a good help mate for the man You have chosen." Another example: "It is better to marry than to burn with passion." Then pray/declare: "Lord, I don't want to burn with passion. Thank You for bringing me my husband." Once or twice may not be sufficient. Keep knocking! Be bold!

It’s clearly written in the Bible that it’s up to us to choose whether to marry or not. True getting married comes with a lot of responsibilities that can take your time away from building your relationship with sacrifice. But having made that decision to be married, I make it a deal of sacrifice to make our time to grow my relationship with God
I’m 52 yrs olds. I’ve been saved/Christian since I was 19 years old. I’ve kept myself and kept God’s word in my heart all these years. I’m starting to lose faith that God has a husband for me. I never asked God for a husband. He just delivered one to me a year after being saved (22). We got married three years later and have been married three years now with a baby and one on the way. Focus on the Father and He’ll give you what He knows you need. Don’t fixate on what you think you need or want. We’re already saved, nothing else matters - hallelujah!!
I was cheated on and subsequently divorced after 40 years of marriage. There are days when I think what a waste of my life. But together we had 4 children who have given me 6 grandchildren so far. You say you wish you have known why he cheated. Making me believe you feel it’s something you have done to cause this, which is more than far from the truth. Take a step back from the insecurities you are feeling and realize we all have our own journey. God put this person in your life for a reason. You have children and so far 6 grandchildren from him. You are supposed to learn and grow from him. WITHOUT BLAMING YOURSELF. It is definitely not a waste of your life. We are all here to learn and grow. I believe god puts certain people in our lives sometimes not for a lifetime but for our own growth. Life is not always a fairytale that we project it to be. There’s so much more than that.

I’m currently courting and this video was put together so beautiful. God gifted me what I wanted and needed for sure BUT he definitely uses your significant other to teach you how to grow emotionally. I learned that everything doesn’t have to be GRAND! Like when he falls asleep without saying goodnight, or without calling. I then remember okay “He gets up at 3AM and gets home around 6PM. That’s like 16 hours.” He usually always wakes up apologizing and sending a sweet message. But God has me looking at myself more and not others. It’s helping me grow overall
Same! Mine works 2 jobs. We are just friends right now. But he will fall asleep like that as well! Then he will wake up out of nowhere apologizing very sweetly. But he is teaching me things about myself that I didn’t know were an issue due to past trauma! He is patient with me!
I have been experiencing this too! We are friends right now but through that I've learned some things about myself that I'm healing from past trauma and he too is very understanding and patient with me as I am with him going through his own emotions etc.

I was lucky enough to have God actually tell me who it was i was going to marry. It was 2018 and I was sitting in a college and career Bible study group. It was after the lesson and everyone was sitting around talking to each other. I was sitting by myself and randomly thought "I wonder if I'll ever be with anyone from this group". I took a quick look around the room and my eyes landed on one of the guys. In my mind i heard something say "him". I didn't know it was God speaking to me at the time because I've never heard Him speak directly into my mind before. But it's been 6 yrs since then and I've learned to recognize God's voice and know for sure that it was His voice. October 1, 2022 was our first date. December 21, 2023 I said yes and I'm marrying him in exactly 2 months from tomorrow ☺️ He's everything i ever wanted and more. God handpicked him for me ☺️
I had a similar experience with thinking about boys in a Bible study group and I heard the words, he is the one, or something like that, and I do not think at all that it was my voice because I was thinking nothing on that degree. We are now chatting, and I’m leaving it in Yah’s hands for sure! Trust in Him no matter what! I didn't fall in love with my man until 4 yrs after hearing God tell me it was him. I had actually left the group those 4 yrs but God brought us back together. I can tell you with confidence that if this boy is the one that God made for you then it will be so in God's timing. Until you two fall in love, God will be preparing your hearts for each other just like he was preparing my and my man's hearts. Keep the faith. This very true for me. He treats me the same way as he did when we first started dating. I come 1st to him. He comes 1st to me as well. He was there for me even when I found out I needed surgery not even a month into our relationship. Supported me and carried for me the whole time. He was even there for me through all my other health problems. Along with all that
I feel absolute confirmation in what Mark is saying here. Scripture states that "it is good for a man to find a wife", this actually firmly places the man as the pursuer. I think too many women are "looking" for that special man, when in actuality; they should be patient and wait to be pursued. My husband was relentless in his pursuit of me and he did prove he was prepared and ready to be a husband, friend and provider. We had 18 years of marriage before Pancreatic Cancer took him away from me last year. I am still navigating "singleness" and slowly filling my days with activities that I had always enjoyed. If we are patient and wait on God, He will be sure to send the right man, a godly man to do this thing called "life" with.

Point 1 is so true. Aside from not having a big successful career and income like she would want me to have while she does, we are basically what we both need, and most of what we wanted in a partner. It’s honestly refreshing to find a woman who doesn’t automatically cross me off without even examining my character and learning about me after seeing I don’t have material possessions much money, career success, and status women look at first by default. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to work or have no desire to, but I just don’t have what people categorize as “normal for a man age 27 approaching his thirties.”

The same can be said about men not being able to look beyond a woman’s beauty and physical appearance to then only begin to truly understand her and encourage her to open up to him and he to her. It doesn’t mean I don’t understand the value of work or know its importance, but rather I didn’t have the opportunity or powerful connections to land a stable and decent paying job right out of college with housing and healthcare benefits.

Thank you. You hit on some things I recently spoke about and I pray the one God has for me is also on the same page. I believe God is preparing my Husband for me and I pray to be more prepared for him as well. I'm normally very patient but the wait for him hurts more than he knows, and I hope he understands my tantrums especially when I'm not hearing from him directly. Not hearing from him leads me to think that it could be someone else trying to trick me or something, which is partly why I am becoming more hidden from online.
I am 16 years old. I’ve never had a real boyfriend, and I look forward to it. But I also have high standards. Not unrealistic high standards, but I want my future partner to love God, pursue me, and be presentable. I want a man who takes good care of himself physically, spiritually, and mentally so he can take the man’s role and lead our relationship, and I will take the woman’s role and commit to the relationship and our relationship with God. I want us to grow closer to God together. I’ve been praying for him for 2 years now. A lot of kids my age are very immature and ungodly, and it’s already uncommon to find a godly friend. With each passing year, this world seems to become even more corrupted, but I still have faith that God will bring us together someday. I find myself being more attracted to men who are about 5+ years older than I am because some of them act and appear more mature than kids my age, although it doesn’t mean they have godly intentions in a relationship. I feel as though I’m a 25 year old woman trapped in a 16 year old body. I want a man, not a boy because boys my age act like girls; they don’t pursue, they don’t lead the relationship in God’s will, and they’re easily distracted. The boys my age aren’t ready to settle down and get married someday, they just want to play around. I’m not interested in that at all. I want an everlasting, faithful, godly, and healthy relationship until we leave this world. I am sharing this because I want to let the other godly teenage girls or guys out there know that they aren’t alone. We really need to be careful with who we choose and trust, because a lot of men and women have ungodly intentions. So, I pray that whoever reads or doesn’t read this be blessed with a true, godly relationship, and that they will be put together with their person someday soon. 🙏 ❤

I thought the update would only be once we tied the knot but.. We agree on everything important. Marriage, spirituality, values, he's the more radical Christian. But he's been broken. Just today, I thought to myself.. No. He can't be. He needs to be refined further and even if it's not him, I thank God for the real one. Before he went to sleep tonight he said he needed time to get back to basics (concerning marriage and starting a family.) I wanted to cry because I am willing to accept that he might not be the one (As I think he needs to be refined by fire) but just as I thought so.. He brings up the very same thing, saying he's ready to get refined and get back to basics. As for me.. I am still waiting on the Lord. There's so much peace too.

Your Item #2 about a man fulfilling the tasks of a husband BEFORE getting the title, reminded me of David when he was a shepherd to those sheep. He was fulfilling the duties of a "leader" BEFORE he actually became a leader or a King before receiving the title and becoming a king! God was already preparing him and he (David) was already fulfilling the duty of a king before being called to it and receiving a title. This is probably "how" God qualified him for that position. 2. Finally, I'm assuming that these principles you've laid out also work both ways and would apply to a woman, who wants to be a wife. She should be meeting the "same" criteria as the man if she wants to be or is called to be a wife. Thanks for the nuggets!
i agree with all of these. On the leadership part: I was a missionary in Kenya. The home Church called to see if they could Ordain me. I replied that I have not yet been a liscensed minister. They said WHAT? I said, I just thought that if I served you would grant me the certificate, liscence and then ordination that I had earned, not because I persued it. I was then liscensed and ordained when I returned to the states two years later. Women~ scripture says single women serve the Lord.What ever that means to you and Hashem. I was a missionary in Kenya and Liberia.Taught in Bible Schools and Mission training centers. When in the USA I had people to our appartment as single groups all the time. I happened to be in Kenya when God said "you may not marry 'till your 30, will you wait?" I said yes and was in Paris France on my 30th Birthday. 🥳I prayed and said to Jesus- if you want me to re-enlist to 'wait' ...I will do another 4 years. I just want to get married and have my kids before I turn 40. I returned to America, taught for a few years,then served in Liberia durring the war.(late 90's)I returned to US 2 years later. I also honored my Father and Mother. No other suitor had their approval! My husband ( who was from Nigeria, but was also a student of mine in Liberia) showed up her in USA (at age 36) , we married. I had my son a year later and my daughter 18months later one month before my 39th birthday. Right On-Time! Trust HIM ladies. Serve the LORD. He who finds a wife, finds a good thing. Then declare, Lord if it's not good for a man to be alone, it is not good for woman to be alone. Thank You Lord for making me a good help mate for the man You have chosen."
Another example: "It is better to marry than to burn with passion."
Then pray/declare:
"Lord, I don't want to burn with passion. Thank You for bringing me my husband."

I’m 52 yrs olds. I’ve been saved/Christian since I was 19 years old. I’ve kept myself and kept God’s word in my heart all these years. I’m starting to lose faith that God has a husband for me. 1）Abraham *chuckles* to himself when God says that His promised great nation will come through Sarah, the wife whose child-bearing years are a distant memory (Genesis 17:17). Likely, *his doubts land in the realm of “Nice thought, God*. But too little, too late.”
2) Mary asks, “*How can this happen?”* when the angel reveals God’s plan that she will carry the Messiah, Jesus, in her womb (Luke 1:34, New International Version).
3) Peter *wants to believe enough to walk* to Jesus on the waves of a stormy sea, but he *sinks when his fear distracts* his focus from Jesus (Matthew 14:22-32).
For *each* of them, *questions and doubts* were *part of the process of growing into maturity*.
And in each case, there’s a redemptive pattern in the way God responds to their questions.
Not once do we see God turn His back on the questioner.
1-Making good on His promise, God gives Abraham and Sarah a son.
2- God’s messenger *does not shame* Mary for her question but gives her what she needs to comprehend and embrace the pregnancy to come.

1) How many times have u given up, right before HE's about to give in?
2) How many times have u given up on a dream… a calling… heck, a person… right be4 HE's about to swoop in and do what only HE can do?
3) why u lost hope in the miracle coz of what u *see*? Why u've *falsely believed* that coz of *what u can’t see* the sun n stars today, that somehow that means they no longer exist at all?
*Praying fiercely* *His redemption and the fulfilment of prayers're right around the corner* ..

You say you wish you have known why he cheated. Making me believe you feel it’s something you have done to cause this, which is more than far from the truth. Take a step back from the insecurities you are feeling and realize we all have our own journey. God put this person in your life for a reason. You have children and so far 6 grandchildren from him. I believe god puts certain people in our lives sometimes not for a lifetime but for our own growth. Life is not always a fairytale that we project it to be. There’s so much more than that.

2) God will identify your ordained husband by revealing his husbandly characteristics/actions (tasks associated with the title of husband) before becoming your spouse.

I’m currently courting and this video was put together so beautiful. God gifted me what I wanted and needed for sure BUT he definitely uses your significant other to teach you how to grow emotionally. I learned that everything doesn’t have to be GRAND! Like when he falls asleep without saying goodnight, or without calling. I then remember okay “He gets up at 3AM and gets home around 6PM. That’s like 16 hours.” He usually always wakes up apologizing and sending a sweet message. But God has me looking at myself more and not others. It’s helping me grow overall
Same! Mine works 2 jobs. We are just friends right now. But he will fall asleep like that as well! Then he will wake up out of nowhere apologizing very sweetly. But he is teaching me things about myself that I didn’t know were an issue due to past trauma! He is patient with me!
I have been experiencing this too! We are friends right now but through that I've learned some things about myself that I'm healing from past trauma and he too is very understanding and patient with me as I am with him going through his own emotions etc.

I was lucky enough to have God actually tell me who it was i was going to marry.
It was 2018 and I was sitting in a college and career Bible study group. It was after the lesson and everyone was sitting around talking to each other. I was sitting by myself and randomly thought "I wonder if I'll ever be with anyone from this group". I took a quick look around the room and my eyes landed on one of the guys. In my mind i heard something say "him". I didn't know it was God speaking to me at the time because I've never heard Him speak directly into my mind before. But it's been 6 yrs since then and I've learned to recognize God's voice and know for sure that it was His voice.
October 1, 2022 was our first date. December 21, 2023 I said yes and I'm marrying him in exactly 2 months from tomorrow ☺️
He's everything i ever wanted and more. God handpicked him for me ☺️

I had a similar experience with thinking about boys in a Bible study group and I heard the words, he is the one, or something like that, and I do not think at all that it was my voice because I was thinking nothing on that degree. I too, prayed and asked to be married by 35 years old. I was devastated when I turned 36 and still single. I was angry with God and myself because I believed and prayed. I had to repent ( yet again) because I tried to force his hand. This very true for me. He treats me the same way as he did when we first started dating. I come 1st to him. He comes 1st to me as well. He was there for me even when I found out I needed surgery not even a month into our relationship. Supported me and carried for me the whole time. I feel absolute confirmation in what Mark is saying here. Scripture states that "it is good for a man to find a wife", this actually firmly places the man as the pursuer. I think too many women are "looking" for that special man, when in actuality; they should be patient and wait to be pursued. My husband was relentless in his pursuit of me and he did prove he was prepared and ready to be a husband, friend and provider. We had 18 years of marriage before Pancreatic Cancer took him away from me last year. I am still navigating "singleness" and slowly filling my days with activities that I had always enjoyed. If we are patient and wait on God, He will be sure to send the right man, a godly man to do this thing called "life" with.
I pray Lord that you will grant my desire. Allow me to meet the man you want for me and become my husband. Allow me to bear a child, to have a children of my own . Allow that I become a wife and a mother. All glory to God.Amen

Point 1 is so true. Aside from not having a big successful career and income like she would want me to have while she does, we are basically what we both need, and most of what we wanted in a partner. It’s honestly refreshing to find a woman who doesn’t automatically cross me off without even examining my character and learning about me after seeing I don’t have material possessions much money, career success, and status women look at first by default. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to work or have no desire to, but I just don’t have what people categorize as “normal for a man age 27 approaching his thirties.”

The same can be said about men not being able to look beyond a woman’s beauty and physical appearance to then only begin to truly understand her and encourage her to open up to him and he to her. It doesn’t mean I don’t understand the value of work or know its importance, but rather I didn’t have the opportunity or powerful connections to land a stable and decent paying job right out of college with housing and healthcare benefits.

Thank you. You hit on some things I recently spoke about and I pray the one God has for me is also on the same page. I believe God is preparing my Husband for me and I pray to be more prepared for him as well. I'm normally very patient but the wait for him hurts more than he knows, and I hope he understands my tantrums especially when I'm not hearing from him directly. Not hearing from him leads me to think that it could be someone else trying to trick me or something, which is partly why I am becoming more hidden from online.
I am 16 years old. I’ve never had a real boyfriend, and I look forward to it. But I also have high standards. Not unrealistic high standards, but I want my future partner to love God, pursue me, and be presentable. I want a man who takes good care of himself physically, spiritually, and mentally so he can take the man’s role and lead our relationship, and I will take the woman’s role and commit to the relationship and our relationship with God. I want us to grow closer to God together. I’ve been praying for him for 2 years now. A lot of kids my age are very immature and ungodly, and it’s already uncommon to find a godly friend. With each passing year, this world seems to become even more corrupted, but I still have faith that God will bring us together someday.
I find myself being more attracted to men who are about 5+ years older than I am because some of them act and appear more mature than kids my age, although it doesn’t mean they have godly intentions in a relationship. I feel as though I’m a 25 year old woman trapped in a 16 year old body. I want a man, not a boy because boys my age act like girls; they don’t pursue, they don’t lead the relationship in God’s will, and they’re easily distracted. The boys my age aren’t ready to settle down and get married someday, they just want to play around. I’m not interested in that at all. I want an everlasting, faithful, godly, and healthy relationship until we leave this world. I am sharing this because I want to let the other godly teenage girls or guys out there know that they aren’t alone. We really need to be careful with who we choose and trust, because a lot of men and women have ungodly intentions.
So, I pray that whoever reads or doesn’t read this be blessed with a true, godly relationship, and that they will be put together with their person someday soon. 🙏 ❤

I thought the update would only be once we tied the knot but.. We agree on everything important. Marriage, spirituality, values, he's the more radical Christian. But he's been broken. Just today, I thought to myself.. No. He can't be. He needs to be refined further and even if it's not him, I thank God for the real one. Before he went to sleep tonight he said he needed time to get back to basics (concerning marriage and starting a family.) I wanted to cry because I am willing to accept that he might not be the one (As I think he needs to be refined by fire) but just as I thought so.. He brings up the very same thing, saying he's ready to get refined and get back to basics. As for me.. I am still waiting on the Lord. There's so much peace too.

@@sandysaez8144 Lol.. We have been consistently talking for everyday for over three months now. We have met twice as friends, and plan to meet again (The plan is to make meeting a habit). We enjoy our friendship, however, we have discussed things that couples/ married people do mostly. (i.e I know the kind of wedding he wants, parenting style and so forth, but I don`t know his favourite colour😂, same with him). He notes down everything I like as well. For me? He fits the description of my ideal kind of husband. In a nutshell: He normally doesn`t date before being a friend, I want him but not ready for a relationship. I find our friendship as a blessing in disguise, that we get to know each other, until the time we decide to be together. Girl is still seeking guidance though (Manoah`s prayer in Judges 13). Wow - What a powerful, insightful 5-Minute Video! I got a lot out of it -- and what wisdom! You gave me a lot to think about and chew on, Mark! I also receive a couple of revelations:
1. Your Item #2 about a man fulfilling the tasks of a husband BEFORE getting the title, reminded me of David when he was a shepherd to those sheep. He was fulfilling the duties of a "leader" BEFORE he actually became a leader or a King before receiving the title and becoming a king! God was already preparing him and he (David) was already fulfilling the duty of a king before being called to it and receiving a title. This is probably "how" God qualified him for that position.
2. Finally, I'm assuming that these principles you've laid out also work both ways and would apply to a woman, who wants to be a wife. She should be meeting the "same" criteria as the man if she wants to be or is called to be a wife.

i agree with all of these. On the leadership part: I was a missionary in Kenya. The home Church called to see if they could Ordain me. I replied that I have not yet been a liscensed minister. They said WHAT? I said, I just thought that if I served you would grant me the certificate, liscence and then ordination that I had earned, not because I persued it. I was then liscensed and ordained when I returned to the states two years later. Women~ scripture says single women serve the Lord.What ever that means to you and Hashem. I was a missionary in Kenya and Liberia.Taught in Bible Schools and Mission training centers. When in the USA I had people to our appartment as single groups all the time. I happened to be in Kenya when God said "you may not marry 'till your 30, will you wait?" I said yes and was in Paris France on my 30th Birthday. 🥳I prayed and said to Jesus- if you want me to re-enlist to 'wait' ...I will do another 4 years. I just want to get married and have my kids before I turn 40. I returned to America, taught for a few years,then served in Liberia durring the war.(late 90's)I returned to US 2 years later. I also honored my Father and Mother. No other suitor had their approval! My husband ( who was from Nigeria, but was also a student of mine in Liberia) showed up her in USA (at age 36) , we married. I had my son a year later and my daughter 18months later one month before my 39th birthday. Right On-Time! Trust HIM ladies. Serve the LORD. He who finds a wife, finds a good thing.
