Hi Mel, I'm so glad to see you back and feeling better! I am 57 and about a year ago my Dr. told me to lose weight or I could have serious health issues. Long story short I lost 30 lbs (13.6kg) so far. and stopped nearly all sugar (I'm type 2 diabetes)(soft drinks are killers) and now I feel so much better, I have more energy (without needing any caffeine either). I just had a blood test done and 100% of the metrics were all back within normal ranges. I drink a minimum of 60oz (1.8L) of water each day (add lemon/lime etc for flavor). Eat only what is natural -fruits/veggies/meat etc. and not what comes out of a can/box (unless it doesn't have anything added). The big food industries are killing us with all the chemicals and preservatives.
Hi from the UK. I run an eBay store with my partner, I have chronic fatigue & she has terminal cancer but we keep going, we enjoy working with each other from home. Great video, good luck for the future.

Mel, this is fantastic! I've owned an elliptical machine for years and it's been a glorified towel holder.. Think I've done it 5 times in 2 years.. until Monday! Talked to a few business owners last week and made an accountability pact with them to send daily screenshots from my health app that shows the workout and my heart rate graphs. We then send encouraging messages back and forth which is super cool. On Tuesday I made the decision to stop booze and fast food as the 2 seemed to run together.. often lol.. I'll pay more for better food and yes drinking much more water. I run my own IT company and have a humongous death pile of 20+ years of computer/tech things. Your awesome and an inspiration to everyone out there watching. Thanks for all you do! Keep it up! Jason from Oregon
You're doing great Mel! A "Just get on the bike " mindset can go a long way to success. The hardest part is getting on the bike. The workout is a whole lot easier once you're on it. Sometimes you don't have to go hard, you just have to go.
You’ve given me the kick in my butt that I needed to start getting in gear to better myself. I’ve let myself become lazy. I have a rower and a treadmill waiting for me in my basement. Tomorrow I will get going!
Glad to see you getting back on track. Everyday is a new day! I totally get tired of being tired. I am a Lupus Warrior! I went from hiking & dancing to barely able to climb a flight of stairs. I receive monthly infusions (go go juice 😊) to help me battle fatigue. I try some type of exercise daily usually a light walk or beginner stretching/yoga. Helps keep my mind and body going! Definitely be aware of what you eat. Try to stay as natural as possible (avoid processed foods & sugar). Definitely drink your water! Good luck with reclaiming your health! The reward is worth the struggle!
Wow Mel your warehouse looks GREAT!!! I started my health journey January 1, 2021. I just had had enough!! I was very low on vitamin D, that really messed me up, I’m ok now though because I take a D supplement every day. Anyway, since 2021 I’ve lost 132 pounds, feeling so much better, more energy and off a lot of meds! You’ve got this lady! Hang in there, glad you made a video, I’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing. Be blessed! You’ve got this🌻
Fantastic!! I can't even imagine everything you must have gone through to achieve those goals. Really happy for you and thank you for sharing. You're giving hope and inspiration to so many people!

Great uplifting video! Wish you the best on your new health journey! Living is a process and when one thing does not work for us our body and mind guides us to the next step. Good to see you back!
WELCOME BACK literally from BURNOUT! Glad you are OK and are on track to a healthier you ❤ I've checked daily to see if you've posted wondering if you were well. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽for clarity of mind and spirit.
The Peloton is great. A couple quick tips: do the 5 minute stretch after each ride. Kick your heels out to get out of the pedals. Get a padded seat to go on top of the Peloton seat. It’ll save you; trust me. And start at 15-20 minutes at a time and work your way up. Most of all, have fun! 😀
Best wishes to ya! You might remember me (not sure what name I was under) but a tree destroyed my ebay during a tornado outbreak. I was also diagnosed with Anemia a few months before that. I totally get the sick and tired of being sick and tired and I am totally starting over again. Right there with ya!
The “Algorithm” popped this video in front of me …. Have no idea why … but I love her accent … her smile and her energy … and only for that reason I’ll subscribe …. LOL ... gracias amiga for the video .... tu amigo Javier from Houston, Texas
Good on you Mel! We gotta work out what works for us and do our best. I got a granny trike bike to take my post every day. I nearly fell over the first time I did it. My legs were JeLly 🤪 I got a Big Bum bike seat and it is soooooo much more comfy to use.
Glad to see you back Mel ! I thought you were giving up your channel. And I totally understand being sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have the same problem.
Mel is BACK!!! You've got a fire in you that might decrease for a bit but never goes out! I expect we're going to see that fire burning brighter and higher than we ever have!!!
I can really relate to always starting over. I do it too as giving up and settling isn’t an option. Your warehouse looks amazing!! You are inspiring a lot of people Mel. 🤗
With the inventory you have, why not start a "used" book store? You don't need to lower your prices either. But you can work on your online sales and have on the spot sales too.
@@backfromburnout Great! find a building where you could live in the back. All you need is a bed, kitchen area. Restroom for customers. Have a little coffee/tea bar. Nothing big or fancy, just start small. I did that with my vintage/antique shop, eventually upgraded to a larger building and started a mall. I rented out space to others (booths) and that paid my rent.
I’m sorry the meds you were taking didn’t work for you Mel but so HAPPY for you that you’re making your health a priority….It really is a WONDERFUL feeling knowing you don’t have to worry about ‘fitting it in’ during the day bc you knocked it out first thing….Sending HUGS….You’ve got this Lovey….!!!!!😊👊🏻❤️❤️❤️
Hi Mel, Also similar age to you, living in Australia, diagnosed with ADHD a year ago and also a book seller!! Living a crazy life jumping in and out of burnout too. It's hard! always searching, trying to find a balance. The meds can be difficult too until you find the right combo and even then they are not the answer to everything but I know I am better on them than off them. I am currently trying my best to accept that I will never be or feel like everyone else and it's actually ok to live on this rollercoaster, it has its positives too and is all about acceptance. I recently added in PMDD to my lovely list of issues, very common in ADHD women of our age apparently! The right vitamins, food, WATER & exercise are key so don't give up you are an inspiration to so many of us x
I love this for you Mel! I made a similar decision at the start of the year... I was overweight and unfit and very unhappy with how I was feeling. I completely changed my diet and lost a few kgs and then when I had that under control I started walking on my old clunky treadmill. I'm 10kgs down and haven't been sick since before I started this journey. I'm fitter than my younger siblings and run around with my nieces and nephews like I'm a kid again. I did become a bit lazy in winter and started feeling lethargic again so I'm back to it and your video has really inspired me to keep going! (also... I already told you this.. but I'm super jealous of your Peloton!)
Thanks for sharing an insight into your life challenges. Its half the battle of admitting you've been struggling and then accepting you need to change. Great stuff.
I've only listened to the first 20 seconds so far and it really resonates. On 1st August this year my wife told me she thought we should split up. I'm 51 this year and tbh it scared the **** out of me. It still does I guess, but I am also trying to be positive about looking forward. Whether it works for me remains to be seen.
@@backfromburnout I hope so. Some times I feel excited about starting anew, others I feel desperately low. What I have found out though! Don't try carbon monoxide poisoning if you own a diesel!
@@backfromburnoutI love your sourcing videos and your pick/ pack vlogs. I was a part time reseller for many years and my husband and I retired to Florida. I’ve been mostly gardening and prepping for hurricanes, but I’m feeling the itch to return to reselling and love the idea of books, since my house is full of them!
When I drove a tractor trailer over the road in my 50s I would walk around the truck when I parked in a rest area or waiting at delivery stop before my appointment and the trailer was 53 feet and with the tractor it was around 73 feet long so I calculated walking around it one lap was 75 feet + 10 feet plus 75 feet + 10 feet that was 170 total feet for one lap around 10 laps was 1700 feet so 48 laps would be around a one mile walk and 96 laps would be a two mile walk and so on . Well I lost weight doing this and got in good shape living in that truck 3 to 6 months at a time running around the United States 😊
@@backfromburnout I love the warehouse vids, the progress from your house, to storage units, to warehouse and I am absolutely looking forward to watching the series were you move into a bigger one and set it up! Love the warehouse people, Tom is funny and a great 2nd character, the doggies, the fact that you aren't in the USA, just all of it. I am not a resller, I am a tech engineer but have thought about selling books and been encouraging my wife to sell her thrift finds. Thanks for replying back to me too!
OH SWEETIE, YOU GOT THIS, keep moving forward and you will so feel better soon. I've been there and done that too. Never give up, never stop dreaming, always, always, going. You are amazing
Well done Mel!! Great to see you back on video! Love your warehouse setting and what an incredible idea with having an exercise bike in the warehouse!! Like you have said, you spend more time at the warehouse than home, and exercise in the morning will make you feel great the whole day!! I don’t really like bike, but I don’t mind a treadmill. Will consider one for my working station. 😊
@@backfromburnout As women, we always give our love ones the best and everything we can but rarely receiving much in return. Plus we have to bear shxt loads of stress, mentally and physically. It’s time we looking after ourselves.🥰❤️
Most women don't talk about menopause but the changes takes place long before the obvious symptoms show. Fried food and sugar can play havoc with your ability to feel like doing positive things (exercise, spend time outside . I was always a calm person and suddenly I felt road rage when driving. I cried about things that I could shrug at before. My best advice is Watch your amount of fried foods, sugar and keep hydrated. Hopes this helps.
Yep totally agree with this. I’m 51 and in perimenopause. Will cry for no reason, anxiety, depression, fatigue, body aches etc etc. It’s such a roller coaster. But most people only ever mention the hot flushes 😔
Mel is close to my age and I was going to mention the same thing. I've struggled with motivation and energy and many other things and I know some of that is tied into this season of my life. I too need to make changes to set me on a better path as far as health. So let's do this, ladies!
@@farmgirl1560 yup turning 40 and perimenopause began with me. It turned me upside down. I am so tired of having hot flashes all the time, tired all the time, random deppresion and more. I started getting healthier too because I was trying anything to help with symptoms, but since I am still young there is not much more I can do.
I started watching your videos after common wealth dude introduced you. Keep up the great work! That bike made me laugh but if I had your set up the bike is a must. 😂
Your video just popped up for me, probably because I just did a burnout video. YOU GO GIRL! I feel you, I'm ready too. Summertime is junk food-filled and I'm so over it, I feel sick too, and looking forward to feeling better. Sending healing hugs your way! 💛
Hi Mel so glad to see you posting again. Was beginning to get worried about you. I have been bulk watching your older videos of when you first moved into this warehouse. Didnt realise its almost 2 years. Good luck with the new health regime. That Peleton looks amazing.
@@backfromburnout Thank you Mel. I have been making Christmas cards for an event I am doing next month. Seems strange to be making Christmas cards when the temp is 26c.
Great video! I don’t know how the roads are there, but don’t be afraid to get a cheap, used road bicycle and add some mileage outside. Strava app is fun to use with a road bike.
Did I ever tell you about the book "A Mind of Your Own"? I was worried about the adhds meds causing you problems. You have done really well for yourself and you should give yourself a lot of credit.
For diet, drastically reduce the processed food and increase the meat and eggs with small amounts of vegetables and fruits. That will help you heal physically and mentally. Go luck with the exercise!
I totally agree! I'm ketovore and eat eggs and meat every day. I'm 62 and have always eaten lots of eggs. As a kid I was never allowed cereal for breakfast, always eggs. I have eaten at least 4 dozen a week for more than 40 years and I haven't seen a doctor since I was a baby lol.
Glad to see this post. Was wondering how you were doing. This video comes at a good time for me. My life has taken a chaotic turn. It's ok, but learning to navigate the new normal.
I haven’t had water since I was 15 (I’m 38) like any water (only get water from the coffee and food etc) also have adhd, not medicated and only drink coke & coffee. I am on a similar journey and trying to stay motivated! Goodluck!!! ❤
Every so often I will treat myself to some special (read: pricey) water. Usually Evian or Aqua Penna. Other than that, I buy cases of Dasani or Arrowhead 16.9 Oz bottles.
My husband calls it “Wind chasing” Im a pro 🤓. Also have ADHD. It’s a struggle. I figure computers need a daily reboot 🤷♀️. Why not people every so often. I’ve been binge watching your videos and just joined up with technsports and Chris 🏆. Thank you! You got this!!
Yep, I find getting the workout done first thing in the morning the easiest. It takes a few weeks to form a habit and then it gets easier to jump on and get it done. Good luck Mel!
I'm 51 and just got diagnosed with ADHD yesterday. Will be interesting to try the meds but good to see someone acknowledge that it isn't necesarily the answer to everything. Hang in there champion. That tidied up warehouse looks amazing, hope you feel better soon.
@@tracygarrett3952 it more or less is yes, but in controlled dosages and it affects adhd brain’s differently than “normal” brains. Basically adhd people don’t produce enough dopamine which causes all kinds of probs, so the medication works to address this imbalance.
I'm glad you are off the meds. They just mask the problem. I have learned that most women that raise a family, have a full-time job, and are always "on" end up the ADHD. You just need to learn to live with it. I am old but know for sure that I have developed ADHD through my lifestyle. Just try to find alone time so you can come down through walking, zoning out on music, or whatever works for you. We either focus too hard or become scatter brained with too many "irons in the fire." I totally understand where you are coming from. Just be sure to take care of your health!
Mel, I highly recommend you get a rebounder (mini trampoline). Intense cardio isn't good for women, but rebounders are good for the lymphatic system, circulation, and bone density. All the best.

When your not doing a move, I like the pack and ship vids, I put them on and get some work done myself, while you work! Your attitude, accent, i just love everything.
One of the doggies just passed away
Proud of you!!! Loved the narration and editing vibes for the opening!!
Thank you!
I'm so glad youre back posting! Really missed your videos and will save this one for later on tonight!! Hope you're well! 🩷📚
Thank you!
Health, wealth, and family/community. Those are my key values; what’s the point of any of them without the other two? 😊
Very trie! Thank you!
I was so excited to see a new video. Thanks for all of the great content.
Thank you! Let me know what type of content you like best x
@@backfromburnout I really love them all. I’m extra partial to the videos that show your work process and organization.
Great set up Mel!
@2:50 cool music. Half expected a mecha to fly out of the bushes. Hope all is well
Ha ha thank you
OH SWEETIE, YOU GOT THIS, keep moving forward and you will so feel better soon. I've been there and done that too. Never give up, never stop dreaming, always, always, going. You are amazing
Love your positivity.........don't forget to do some stretches when you have finished on the bike.
Yes, I have started that!
You are the best Mel! I wish you all the best.
Thank you!
Glad you’re feeling better! Your doing amazing job and we’re hear for your journey.
Thank you!
yay! you’re back
Thank you for your patience x
Enjoy the ride. I know you will be successful!!
I hope so and I'll try
Well done Mel!! Great to see you back on video!
Love your warehouse setting and what an incredible idea with having an exercise bike in the warehouse!!
Like you have said, you spend more time at the warehouse than home, and exercise in the morning will make you feel great the whole day!!
I don’t really like bike, but I don’t mind a treadmill. Will consider one for my working station. 😊
Thank you so much x
This.
This was going thru my mind
I'm so glad you got of those meds
Get it girl !!! :D so excited for you :)
I started watching your videos after common wealth dude introduced you. Keep up the great work! That bike made me laugh but if I had your set up the bike is a must. 😂
Oh thank you! I love CP! I’m going to edit some old footage soon with him in it so stay tuned for that before the year is out :)
Love spin classes but have to have padded shorts!! You will love the Peleton!!
Looks amazing
Mel, I always enjoy your videos! I always learn something new!! God Bless and get well (Or more well?)
Awesome Mel! Very impressive.
Thank you
Great video Mel I so relate to this. Do you ever have snakes come under your shop door?😮
None! Thank goodness lol
Great motivational video Mel keep it going ❤❤
Thank you
Missed your videos your warehouse looks fantastic shows your hard work.
Thank you!
Your video just popped up for me, probably because I just did a burnout video. YOU GO GIRL! I feel you, I'm ready too. Summertime is junk food-filled and I'm so over it, I feel sick too, and looking forward to feeling better. Sending healing hugs your way! 💛
I hope you are okay after burnout, it sux xx
Hi Mel so glad to see you posting again. Was beginning to get worried about you. I have been bulk watching your older videos of when you first moved into this warehouse. Didnt realise its almost 2 years. Good luck with the new health regime. That Peleton looks amazing.
Moved into the warehouse in 2yrs in Feb. Separated from my ex husband 2 years in November.
Thank you so much Joan. Your cards make me smile everyday x
@@backfromburnout Thank you Mel. I have been making Christmas cards for an event I am doing next month. Seems strange to be making Christmas cards when the temp is 26c.
Great job Mel! I bet you will start to feel amazing in no time. I’m coming along with you! 🥰
Yay, let's go Dana!
Best of luck with the bike, Mel....!
Take a step back and look at what you have built over a very short period of time, Mel. It is incredible.
Well said Josh!! We just love this video as a whole!!! Even the music… well done Mel!!
I’m very grateful for your support, it means a lot. Thank you so much x
Thank you!
I will look it up now! Thank you
@@backfromburnout I hope you find it helpful. there is an audio book too
For diet, drastically reduce the processed food and increase the meat and eggs with small amounts of vegetables and fruits. That will help you heal physically and mentally. Go luck with the exercise!
couldn't disagree more with this advice
@tardis33 which part?
I totally agree! I'm ketovore and eat eggs and meat every day. I'm 62 and have always eaten lots of eggs. As a kid I was never allowed cereal for breakfast, always eggs. I have eaten at least 4 dozen a week for more than 40 years and I haven't seen a doctor since I was a baby lol.
you've got no idea
I love poached eggs for breakfast on sourdough
Brilliant video. I really enjoyed it.
Glad to see this post. Was wondering how you were doing. This video comes at a good time for me. My life has taken a chaotic turn. It's ok, but learning to navigate the new normal.
Thank you, I hope you're ok x
I haven’t had water since I was 15 (I’m 38) like any water (only get water from the coffee and food etc) also have adhd, not medicated and only drink coke & coffee. I am on a similar journey and trying to stay motivated! Goodluck!!! ❤
Eeeek, I have been working on drinking more. It gets easier once you wean off the other stuff
Thank you! Tech and Chris have two separate groups now
Yep, I find getting the workout done first thing in the morning the easiest. It takes a few weeks to form a habit and then it gets easier to jump on and get it done. Good luck Mel!
Yes! I am hoping that routine works for me! So far so good!
I'm 51 and just got diagnosed with ADHD yesterday. Will be interesting to try the meds but good to see someone acknowledge that it isn't necesarily the answer to everything. Hang in there champion. That tidied up warehouse looks amazing, hope you feel better soon.
Go to God
It's good to try, I know others who find them amazing and life changing x
@@backfromburnout I did today and tbh it was pretty great. Early days though 😎👍🏼
@@FlipsterDoofusI've heard it compared to Speed. Yep, Google agrees with me.
Thank you!
Mel, I highly recommend you get a rebounder (mini trampoline). Intense cardio isn't good for women, but rebounders are good for the lymphatic system, circulation, and bone density. All the best.
My bladder woudn't cope jumping lol
@@backfromburnout😂 It works the pelvic floor too 😂
@@lisac1619that was gone after four kids 😂
Awesome Mel! You go girl!
Thank you!
The warehouse looks great!
Well done Mel on getting started always the hardest thing ,I find just having a bottle of water around my desk i tend to sip more ,Mel For Next Olympics, Well Done
Thank you! Yes, I have bought some bulk bottles!
I just saw your lookalike visiting the King on sky news.
