ahhhh I know i’m like a year late to this. my mom just showed me my grandmothers grimoire that she started when she was 18 and i’ve decided to start my own as i will soon be turning 19. it scares my parents because they don’t want me to get into anything dark but it is apart of my blood and I don’t think there’s anyway to avoid it. very beautiful book! thank you for sharing ♥️
I got my grimoire for 2 dollars at Walmart and I love it like it's some expensive historical artifact. I think its nice having a book that isn't too fancy or pretty and then letting the love that you put into it make it beautiful!
Your grimores are very inspiring! I've always thought there wasn't much point except for final, very permanent practices and such. But having one that follows you through life sounds very spiritual and fulfilling.
Just as an fyi, if you've adhered something to a page with mod podge or white glue, to keep pages from sticking you only need dust lightly with cornstarch or baby powder after the adhesive is dry. Whichever's accessible. Then blow away or brush away excess.
This Grimoire is the most inspiring I have had the pleasure to share in. Your love behind it and the organic way it is written is a clear reflection of your own life force. I sometimes get in that super witchy mindset too, like when you feel really powerful and strong and happy because of your witchy side. I’m in that mindset lately and it’s helping me through a lot of bad things. That idea of your little ritual for what no longer serves you is actually really sweet and awesome and inspiring! If you feel very connected to deer symbolism I would recommend researching a goddess by the name of Ellen. Ellen of the Ways, I believe, is a Scandinavian goddess of the forests, deer, ancient wisdom and travel. She keeps the trails of life and follows the deer trodden trails, the ancient paths carved by the ancestors and remembered by their descendants. She is a reindeer goddess as she has antlers on her head, reindeer being one of the only deer subgroups where even the females grow antlers. She is most commonly seen as a mother or maiden and while too do not invoke deity for my own personal reasons, Ellen is one of the few deities out there that isn't defined by her sexuality or fertility and still remains a maiden energy, wild and curious. My animal symbol has always been the wolf, but my love for Ellen helps me find balance between the power of that wolf and the gentle grace of the deer she represents.

For the pages that stick together, you could try putting baking paper between them. Just an idea. Love your Grimoires. I use the same brand of book. They are so pretty but in Australia they are expensive notebooks but I think totally worth the expense so I can hand them down to my daughter.

In December I was driving to work and my tire blew. I ended up parking near a pharmaceutical company. For the next 5 hrs until AAA came, troops of deer kept me company. It was pure bliss and an instant anxiety reducer to be surrounded by them. They're wonderful.

Sorry if I'm the millionth person to say this (haven't read the comments) but you can dust the sticking mod pod pages with powder (like Air Spun powder, you can get it at the pharmacy in the makeup section; I'd bet rice powder would work too). The pressed leaves and sewn in feathers were really lovely.

I actually own the 2nd grimoire you show, I live in the highlands of Scotland and purchased it from a shop called Menzies. They sell all sorts of stationary. I think I gifted this book to my mum in the end as its lined paper and I prefer dotted grid paper now! Really cool book tho!!

The deer card, for me, is all about stepping back into yourself. Slowly and steady without making a sound, like a deer walking through a forest: unseen and unheard. Letting things be and not disrupting a single leaf on the ground (almost a Taoist feel if you will, not disrupting the Way things are). It is about gentleness and humility. It is male and female; it is kind, it is a nurturing and a guiding force that tells you everything is okay. Deer is about being gentle and graceful, but not being defenseless. It is about knowing your own power, your strength, and being humble. Deer has been a friend of mine for a while now. I adore it with all my heart. It brings me comfort and makes me feel steady. Does that all make sense? I feel as if I just let my fingers type what they wish. But in that I suppose that it's as honest as it can come. Much love and many blessings. i loved this question!!!

8:13 i think its very interesting, that many people in the "Magick Community" think that the moon is female and the sun is male. It's a little bit weird for me because its different in my language (im from Germany, in our language many "things" have a gender too and we have a song for kids about "the man in the moon"). Do you think the gender of "gods" is important? And why do you think the moon is female?

Oh my goodness, I so enjoy everything about you/this!! Totally going to subscribe! I love the way that I can feel your love for your grimoire and for your craft! I’m currently in the process of binding my own. It is very much a labor of love. I have a thought, and I tried to scan the comments to check first, but I’m wondering if anyone has suggested acrylic medium as an alternative to mod podge? I prefer matte, but it comes in gloss, too (if that’s what you liked about mod podge) and I like gel, as opposed to liquid. And it will cure much more completely than mod podge. It doesn’t stay tacky. I prefer the liquitex brand, but like, Golden also has their version, and you can find less expensive brands, too.

8:13 i think its very interesting, that many people in the "Magick Community" think that the moon is female and the sun is male. It's a little bit weird for me because its different in my language (im from Germany, in our language many "things" have a gender too and we have a song for kids about "the man in the moon"). Do you think the gender of "gods" is important? And why do you think the moon is female?

Oh my goodness, I so enjoy everything about you/this!! Totally going to subscribe! I love the way that I can feel your love for your grimoire and for your craft! I’m currently in the process of binding my own. It is very much a labor of love.
I have a thought, and I tried to scan the comments to check first, but I’m wondering if anyone has suggested acrylic medium as an alternative to mod podge? I prefer matte, but it comes in gloss, too (if that’s what you liked about mod podge) and I like gel, as opposed to liquid. And it will cure much more completely than mod podge. It doesn’t stay tacky. I prefer the liquitex brand, but like, Golden also has their version, and you can find less expensive brands, too.
