Sir, I just followed your steps and I am getting an error(ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error) in step6 while connect database using the sqlplus / as sysdba(after I set up the oracle_sid, path, oracle_home). Could you please guide. FYI, I am doing this upgradation in windows server. Thanks
If you doing this activity on same server then you don't need to restore any backup, if you want to see upgradation using RMAN backup check my another video

I haven't worked on 8i, but you can do one thing take export backup from 8i and import it in 10g,
does it work with 11g XE to 19c XE?

Just take full export normally and import it in a 19c environment.
