also wanna add on the topic of the look of the horses: I feel like their decision to add a typically warmblood looking horse to the game might have largely been influenced by people's negative opinions on the OG mongolian horse model that they had in the game. Which means, that even though the warmblood model would have been added with the goal to appeal to more people, we would then have to put the blame for this decision on the consumer base that ended up pressuring the devs to add a "prettier" horse model. The models were historically accurate before, but people simply didn't like the look of them and prioritised "aesthetics" over "historical accuracy". So the devs listened to this "criticism", which is what we typically WANT from our devs, we want them to listen. It's just that the fanbase's criticism, in this case, came from a place of superficiality and (some) ignorance on historical accuracy. So yeah, I don't think I would blame the devs for this personally, I would blame the fanbase for influencing them to make prettier horses :/
I would agree that this was added because of pressure. I feel like a lot of so called ‘horse girls’ actually haven’t been around or know much about horses as real live animals. Or in the use of horses historically, not to say that horses weren’t bred for their looks in history because obviously they were and are but they were firstly bred for their use as working animals primarily: transportation, agriculture/food, war. These horses aren’t here to look ‘pretty’ (although I personally would argue against Mongolian horses being ugly) these animals are an integral part of the lives of these people and western audiences should be open to maybe learn and experience a fraction of it. Also there are so many different kinds of horses it’s nice to see some lesser known ones in a game for once.

@@misleroux8010 No, it's not that simple. If I told you to refer to me as "His Royal Excellence, the Supreme One", would you do it? My issue with pronouns is that I just think they're silly, at no time in history did we need to provide pronouns. Assumed pronouns for the wide majority of people are sufficient. The prevalence of preferred pronouns is over pronounced as opposed to the number of people that actually need them. In this game where you play as a historic Mongolian it's immersion breaking as it's highly unlikely that Mongolians of that time cared for such modernities. It's misplaced.
@@djgroopz4952 One, it had been a joke and never actually was the creator insisting there will be any actual pronouns included. She was trolling. So that's bait that people are taking and choosing to feel upset about which is hilarious. Two, one of those is egregious and the other is common decency between human beings. Hey Mongolian here! It is very strange that controversy is about pronouns since the Mongolian language uses neutral pronoun to refer to people and objects, and it can be specified by adding names of the gender after pronoun. Also in the 13th century Mongol Empire being gay was a crime so they executed all of them. And Khimor refers to the human spirit. In Tibetan Buddhism, it is a symbol of good fortune and glory.
Hey Abigail i just saw that there are sick new coat patterns in rival stars! I think one of those is like misty roan and Chunky appaloosa and dotted appaloosa and i heard of this horse game called Alicia online i read that it was really good and it's Japanese so i think you should try it out if you have time❤

I can’t wait for the stream my family and I are fans for years now and we got lots of blankets and pillows so on… we’ve also got all our pinehaven ponies schleich and Breyer horses with us. Hahaha 😂
I'm constantly fascinated and disappointed (but not surprised really) how extremely narrow minded people are and how they can get so upset over things that doesn't even affect their life. There are no words for how sad they are honestly. That said, I think the Mongolian horses are really cute, they have kind of an odd charm to them and I think the game looks interesting. Such a shame they felt they had to add the warmbloods though. I am defo intrigued still, and I might try it when it's released :)
The funny thing about the discourse over pronounces is it makes NO SENSE. Everyone has pronouns, we've been using them forever. And if those people upset about "wokeness" started to get called the wrong pronoun they'd get upset. These people never seem to be able to understand sarcasm nor possess an inkling of common sense. I already knew about the game and was waiting for its release, can't wait to play!
I personaly love the mongolian horses! it is refreshing to see them instead of the stiliced horses that have become the norm. And I can't believe that someone who's a horse fan didn't know about them... no hate, I just think maybe we do need this kind of representation
Okay so even if they were adding in pronouns, (like you said) what would it change? From my understanding it'll be a singleplayer (with possible co-op to play with your friends) rather than a full blown multiplayer so.. even more- what would it change? Absolutely nothing thats for sure, it doesnt change the gameplay, it doesnt take away from the 13th century feel nor does it appear anywhere really. People act as if having different pronouns would make the game play out compleatly differently as if it was some multi-route life is strange game, its genuienly shocking how buzzed up the 'non-woke' (I hate the word woke so much) folk are by something as simple as pronouns to the point of bashing a game purely because someone made a joke about adding in pronouns- something thats purely cosmetical. About the warmbloods- personally im quite sad that they're adding them in, not because it doesnt fit the 13th century or something- but because I was hoping that that game would break the mentality of "mm tall slim warmblood pretty small stocky horse ugly" Im so tired of seeing the same breeds over and over again, tired of seeing twisted-spoon-faced arabians with twig legs (sorry not sorry I personally hate arabians with burning passion, or atleast the heavy dish pug-equivelant of arabians), tired of seeing the same fresians, the same slim warmbloods, basically the same horse shape over and over again- i'd love to see horses that get overlooked because they're not "pretty" i'd love to see draft horses that get overlooked in horse games, i'd love to see more than one or two pony breeds, i'd love to see the small stocky horses that HAVE that grace that many warmbloods lack. I love the mongolian horses as they're really similiar to my absolute favourite horse breed; Konik (a polish breed) who, by many's logic, arent pretty- and therefore i dont see in games (they're not a famous breed either but- the fact they're labeled as 'ugly' doesnt help either) like- at all, the only game to ever have the konik breed was horse isle's (honestly the only game to have any polish horse breed, which is a shame cause we have alot nice horse breeds, especially the polish arabians who have little to no dish and are one of the healthier arabian sub-types) and thats about it- and i probably wont be seeing one because... why? Because we need another game with the same repetitive horse breeds? I get that alot of horse people's favourite horses are the 'pretty' famous horse breed and I also get that in a game setting having things be visually pleasing is one of the most important things but- having multiple breeds and breed-types cut out purely because we're used to seeing warmbloods is- stupid. Its like not adding Sphinx cats, devon rex's, lykoi etc into a cat game because god forbid people see a cat that looks different than what they're used to.
Id like there to be some combat honestly, even if its some robbers on ur way, or protecting resources from other traders othwise its a pretty game but where r the challeges?
I dunno about the drama but I want to play this. I hope I can afford it when it comes out. Can you link the original post? I want to tell them I'm looking forward to it n_n
Honestly I would play this game... kinda seems like a game you play to calm yourself down and relax... As for the comment, it was a over-reaction to the pronouns in the bio. I would expect to have mongolian player models as it is based in 13th century Mongolia... but also other Asian races if there is a character creation system. I don't see how DEI has a part here.... and I don't particularly like DEI practices as I do not want to get hired for a job, just because I am Hispanic to fit a quota for the company. But again, I don't see how DEI could have a place in this game, when the player characters are gonna be Mongolian people to be historically accurate.
I think that original comment was made as sort of a knee jerk reaction to all the actual DEI nonsense in media nowadays and was a bit excessive but hey, they are people like that on both sides so what can you do honestly?
I personally do not care about the ridiculous drama and how ridiculous people can be at an obvious satirical tweet because they can’t be bothered to think properly. I’m personally gonna get this game as it’s my dream horse game. It reminds me a lot of Ghost of Tsushima, so it’s definitely for me, and I love running around my horse in Ghost of Tsushima. However, I think it was dumb on Alice’s part to respond to the rage baiter. Khimorri’s devs got so lucky it didn’t go downhill and possibly ruined their game and reputation. It could’ve easily gone south knowing twitter’s terminally online users. I don’t think Alice should’ve poked the bear. The fact that it went well for the game and helped it is a miracle when it could’ve easily gone terribly. Also the Mongolian horses look adorable and I love them. I just truly wish they didn’t add western horse breeds to a game set in 13th century Mongolia just to appeal to a western audience I guess?? It’s so ridiculous imo.
Wait, so a clearly male vocal presenting youtuber using a female vtuber is *checks notes* saying a game is too woke? Not sure what they're trying to sell me on there...
I have zero problem against diversity in games, shows, movies, etc. In fact, I think it’s amazing! The only thing that I absolutely HATE with a PASSION is when games, shows, movies, etc. add diversity simply to add diversity. If you make a game or something and it just happens to be diverse simply because the actor/voice actor/character fits the role, then great! But if you cast people simply because of their race, background, etc. then that pisses me off. Cast because of talent, not colour or pronouns. Now if you cast for talent and it just happens to be diverse, great! I just hate it with my entire soul how you look at an ad on tv and realize that now there aren’t even any white people anymore because companies think they’re gonna be cancelled if they put too many white people on screen 🤦♀️ 💀
OMG PPL ARE CRAZY WHAT😭Btw ty for not sugar coating this🙏💜 I had no idea this game blew up like this, I'm shocked this is how and it wasn't smth similar like the race of the ppl ect ect, anyways legit I do hope there is more the one gender to pick from for fuck sake it's 2024+ and I'm tired of they're only being a "female"/"girl" gender option.
My reason for the criticism is that it breaks immersion. Think about it this way, what are the odds people in historic Mongolia cared about pronouns? It's a very 2024 western idea sticking itself into archaic Mongolian times. It's out of place. The writing will be Ubisoft standard because this is a symptom of ambivalence towards the realities of the place and period you're writing about.
I don't have a problem with pronouns in video games, but recently it does feel like the studios who put an emphasis on DEI are also creating the worst products and then using the "well, they're just anti-woke" excuse to deflect any valid criticism. I don't blame some people for seeing this a potential red flag, but obviously you shouldn't be like this person and jump to conclusions based off of such a trivial detail as the developer having pronouns in their Twitter bio.
Personally I'm tired of pronouns being shoved down our throats. Especially if its in a HISTRICAL game. Rather you consider yourself male, female, bi, or purple with orange polkadots. I literally don't care. But you don't have to label yourself in every single little thing... Its a preference, not a religion...
Let me put it to you another way. Your pronouns are how someone refers to you. You being like ‘I’m tired of it being shoved down my throat’ is like complaining about someone wearing a name tag. If your name isn’t Susan how would you feel if someone kept calling you Susan even when corrected? How about not one, but multiple people? Even if you tell them your name. Even if you wear a name tag so people don’t have to ask because it’s right there. And those people then complain how tired they are about you ‘shoving your name down their throats’. Why would they have a say in what your name is? It doesn’t change their name at all so why do they care? And yet they insist on calling you Susan. It literally costs a person zero energy to read a name tag. People do it everyday So instead of complaining ’pronouns in bio’ maybe just acknowledge it and move on? In a game like this you look like you play as a specific person with a likely specific gender but with a game that is customizable, again, why do you even care? Because it’s historical? I can’t speak on it specifically as I’m not Mongolian or an expert on it’s people and their history but I can tell you that some form pronouns existed as it’s literally just a word used to refer to a person or thing.
@VoidViking Yeah what pronoun would you use for a woman? The correct answer is she/her What pronoun would you use for a man? The correct answer is he/him. And since this is a game set in Mongolia where nobody used they/them pronouns to refer to a singular person. It makes it woke
@@darthsol658 Except you’re just being bigoted and using ‘but it’s Historical’ as an excuse to hide behind. The Mongolian language does not have gender specific pronouns in the first place, so localized you could say it is They-Them. I’ll speak no more on that as again I’m not Mongolian and you don’t deserve any more of my time.
I'm not trying to be mean when I say this... but, those "ugly" or "not pretty horses" are pretty to me... and saying there not pretty is an opinion... yes, many people may think they aren't pretty but to me these horses are pretty. Again, I'm not trying to be mean or rude... I'm just trying to say that by saying these horses aren't pretty it doesn't mean it's a fact and again I know there are some people who agree with that others might think they are pretty.
ok so Abigail are you anti woke? because people who are gay are sad mad and broken because of someone in there life who did really bad things to them that they can get over we need to pray of them because the bible say it is a sin to do that. So i just wanted to put that out
What do you think of all the drama? 🤔

I think this game will be fun. But I I am new to the style of horse games. I am very excited though.😬😄😊🐴❤️

If someone's identity is at stake and, in my case, a student would like to be referred to as such and its not a problem with their parents then I will do my best as a caring individual to support them in their growth as a unique human being. I don't think it should be required (nor should demands be made to include it, but that's my personal privilege as a cis-woman) but that's what separates blatant assholes from people who simply don't give a shit about the argument for arguments sake so they go with it. I don't enjoy arguing these things on the internet with people I will never meet though so that's my part, I hope you can understand another perspective, but if not, it makes little to no difference to me. 🤷♀
I think one of those is like misty roan and Chunky appaloosa and dotted appaloosa and i heard of this horse game called Alicia online i read that it was really good and it's Japanese so i think you should try it out if you have time❤
As a Person who loves The Original Windstrom Movies i Kind of wish The would stop messing with the Original ,personal opinion . I love your videos I’ve been a fan for years hope you’re having a great day 😊❤
I can’t wait for the stream my family and I are fans for years now and we got lots of blankets and pillows so on… we’ve also got all our pinehaven ponies schleich and Breyer horses with us. Hahaha 😂
I was not sure if i wanted the game or not - but that snapback tweet just convinced me XD I'm getting it for me and everyone I know! ♥
Alice is incredible and the little Mongol horses look adorable, I'm stoked to play this game ❤
Just a quick question would you try strideway it’s a game on Roblox but it feels like a different game it’s self!
I think the horse represents the Mongolia horse very well.
I can’t wait for the stream later, and can’t wait to watch this video!
Id like there to be some combat honestly, even if its some robbers on ur way, or protecting resources from other traders othwise its a pretty game but where r the challeges?
The developers said the game is still fantasy aka not historically accurate. Developer video 1 on TH-cam.
2 vids in one day? We are lucky!
But again, I don't see how DEI could have a place in this game, when the player characters are gonna be Mongolian people to be historically accurate.
i think there has to be instructions on everything for people like that in case they put chili sauce in there hair instead of shampoo
Pity it’s not coming to consoles 😢
Man has the world went too if a horse game is getting attack woke pronoun people.
Girl... you slayed with this video... like... gosh! Nice work! ♥
I hate drama but love the concept of the game!
Mongolian horses aren’t that pretty.
No.
They’re freaking beautiful
I really like that explaned about this topic to people! I also think the horses are really cute!
I'm absolutely am adding the game to my wishlist, just for Alice’s gold clawback to internet bigots
hi abigail i a video idea u can play rival stars but on a phone and try and make a series with it i think that would be rlly fun
I guess that perso doesn't what sarcasmid because that reply tweet is define sarcasm
I prefer your video from Rival Star Horse Racing.
Abi did you dye your hair❤?
I did! I got balage done :D
@@AbigailPinehaven👀 oo it looks really nice
I'm buying it. Just gotta hope it comes to console 😅
So exited to play this game ngl
It would be hilarious if it wasn't so frustrating LOL
Great video! 🎉
Which game is at 9:49?☺️
Its either zelda breath of the wild or zelda tears of the kingdom, not 100% sure since both games have similiar aesthetics!
@@Thedarkydragoni thank you !!
Is SWEM on tablet in Minecraft?
I am excited for this game and I did even know there was pronoun beef 😂 no I’m more excited
Hiiiiiiiiiii, I love your vlogs❤❤❤❤❤
OMG PPL ARE CRAZY WHAT😭Btw ty for not sugar coating this🙏💜 I had no idea this game blew up like this, I'm shocked this is how and it wasn't smth similar like the race of the ppl ect ect, anyways legit I do hope there is more the one gender to pick from for fuck sake it's 2024+ and I'm tired of they're only being a "female"/"girl" gender option.
Thanks
Hii!
People do it everyday
So instead of complaining ’pronouns in bio’ maybe just acknowledge it and move on?
In a game like this you look like you play as a specific person with a likely specific gender but with a game that is customizable, again, why do you even care?
Because it’s historical? I can’t speak on it specifically as I’m not Mongolian or an expert on it’s people and their history but I can tell you that some form pronouns existed as it’s literally just a word used to refer to a person or thing.
@VoidViking Yeah what pronoun would you use for a woman? The correct answer is she/her
What pronoun would you use for a man? The correct answer is he/him. And since this is a game set in Mongolia where nobody used they/them pronouns to refer to a singular person. It makes it woke
@@darthsol658 Except you’re just being bigoted and using ‘but it’s Historical’ as an excuse to hide behind. The Mongolian language does not have gender specific pronouns in the first place, so localized you could say it is They-Them. I’ll speak no more on that as again I’m not Mongolian and you don’t deserve any more of my time.
✨✨✨
I'm not trying to be mean when I say this... but, those "ugly" or "not pretty horses" are pretty to me... and saying there not pretty is an opinion... yes, many people may think they aren't pretty but to me these horses are pretty. Again, I'm not trying to be mean or rude... I'm just trying to say that by saying these horses aren't pretty it doesn't mean it's a fact and again I know there are some people who agree with that others might think they are pretty.
first hi!

Haw old are you Aby ...
ok so Abigail are you anti woke?
because people who are gay are sad mad and broken because of someone in there life who did really bad things to them that they can get over we need to pray of them because the bible say it is a sin to do that. So i just wanted to put that out
