Brilliant unload - that Sue and Dave. Yeah, portable loo has to be sorted ethically - you did that alright. The Nemo Matt sounds up my v-alley - ha ha! Well, have a great week ahead folks. That Cape Wrath of yours was good by the way. Mark

@@WyeExplorer Thanks Mark! I wasn’t sure about this one but like you I wanted to point out that it’s not OK to leave tissue & poo all over the trails.. 😡 you did a great job of doing a hole digging demo in one of your recent videos. I do wish everyone would do it right… Hope you’re having a great weekend. Sue 😊

Well done to you both, that was very interesting. And glad you told us the overall weights at the end, you did well, I was expecting it all to weigh more. But light gear dose count at the end 👍 I’m forwarding on this video to a good friend, Alister, he will find it interesting also. 😉

@@catchyoulater.5836 Thanks Mick! You know yourself how important it is to balance lightweight with a budget. Some folk seem to have everything, but I reckon most of us have to make do & mend 😄

Make do and mend, must be my middle name. But in my case, it is too, "make do", at times? Ha Ha, I think I need some new gear....

Hi Sue! I admit to being a tad apprehensive when I saw the title as every outdoor channel seems to do this. However, your editing made it both watchable and entertaining ☺I really must follow you two and lighten my ridiculous backpack load!

@@IanTupmanOutdoors Hi Ian! Thanks for watching it and commenting. I was apprehensive about posting it! You must meet our friend Jean. She is completely obsessive about backpacking weight and I reckon she’ll read this comment. She would rap my knuckles to see all my heavy stuff 😂 It would be amusing to see her face if she saw yours & Megs 🤣🤣

Enjoyed that Sue you and Dave have some good kit but sensible and not OTT making use of budget alternatives like Dave’s plastic footprint where possible 👌🏻
    Brilliant video 🤠👍

Thanks Simon, appreciate the feedback. It’s a change from my normal format so wasn’t sure it would be interesting, bigger channels do great with this kind of stuff but I have a smaller audience 😊

Hi, thanks for the great video. What shoes where you wearing and how did they perform? I hear a lot about trailrunners but I'm not sure about that. Thanks.

@@edmegens6317 Hi! Glad you found it useful. I wore my Innovate Roclite boots, the GTX345. For me they were superb, and easily lasted the distance very comfortably, lightweight and with some ankle support. They are not as tough as leather boots but I didn’t need any more. Like you, I wouldn’t want to wear trainers, the terrain was very rocky a lot of the time. ATB! Sue

@FIVE-FOOTLyth Thank you for your answer. I was tempted to go for trailrunners because of many TH-cam canals. But I probably beter stick to what I know worked. Boots, just as you did. Thanks again.

@edmegens6317 No problem at all. We did the Cape Wrath Trail last summer, 2 of us with boots & one with trainers. No blisters for us, but the trainers caused blisters. Mind, it was wet! 👍
