3M makes a product called Primer 94. It makes a much stronger bond between 3M adhesives and surfaces your bonding to. Would be perfect for those curved areas.
Have you considered wrapping the outside corner edge of the front deck edge, where you step up from the floor onto the front casting deck with a thin piece of aluminum angle? I watch an older video where an old boy wrapped the corner edge with thin Aluminum Angle to keep the edge from coming up or being torn back by foot traffic.

Hey sir, i hope you can respond to this. i have a bass tracker pro team 175 and looking to making it a little more roomy. my idea is to remove the framing where the seats go and do away with it and configure a way to mount my seats on the back deck. i dont see an issue being thats basically how this boat is setup.
I’ve seen several boats with some of the framing removed and they seem to work fine. I’ve never removed framing from a boat so I couldn’t give you a honest opinion. Let us know how it works out. Thanks for watching
You mentioned that Hydro-Turf is affected by Direct Sunlight & Heat. What about after it is Glued Down? Bc we fish all day in the Hot Sun during the Summer.
Looks great. My Jon boat has like a diamond plate / textured floor. Will the mats adhere to it? Or does the surface have to be flat? I’d like something that deadens the sound for fishing and duck hunting.
@@goodtimeoutdoors3637 Thanks, I ended up calling the manufacturer today. They said to be safe use the contact cement and the non-adhesive backed matting. I have a small boat (only a few individual floor sections) so it wont be too much more of a pain to do that. I think I’m going to try that

You said you had this on your old boat aswell? I keep my boat In the water for most of the year, does the sunlight hurt this stuff? I'm not to worried about it fading just looking for something so the aluminum wont be so hot on my dogs paws

Three sheets should do it. I highly recommend the 3m backing. It is a lot easier to put down and it has been great in my boat. Just make sure your boat is really clean before you put it down. Thanks

i have the sure tread spray on my 2021 tracker grizzly, gonna be a pain to clean with acetone before the install of hydro turf
Let me know how good sticks to that surface. Mine was just a smooth painted surface so I’m curious as to how well it sticks to the liner material

I sold the bought after about a year of use on the hydro turf. It held up great. Just spray out the dirt from hunting and still looked new.

I’m really not sure but I think it you get it really clean it will stick. I put it over rivots and it done fine.

I’ve never had it on a boat I left uncovered so I couldn’t say. I imagine it would fade but it would probably still stick good
