I always think of Elena and Katherine as two completely different people played by two different actresses - that's how good Nina Dobrev is

Totally agree with you, when I watch scenes with Katherine or Elena in them it feels like they are two different actresses because of how different they are and what I find so weird is that I ship Stefan and Katherine so much but not Stefan and Elena

Her talent as an actress was proven in the first few episodes, with her convincing Elena act, but her effort and dedication are showed later with Katherine. I am still astounded by the fact that I get the impression that I'm watching two completely different people when Elena and Katherine are together

Was anyone else moved to tears by Silas and Amara's death scene? It was so Romeo and Juliet-esque. Nina and Paul can produce electrifying chemistry with just a look. There was literally no need for a kiss. It was all in the look. They are phenomenal actors and they just light up the screen together. Not to mention Paul's crying face gets me every time. Amazing.

Is it weird that I thought Amara was the most beautiful of the 3 doppelgangers? Like seriously, even though I've stuck with the show from the beginning, I never found Elena or Katherine particularly attractive. I always ended up favoring Caroline and/or Bonnie.

God so many people will agree that Katherine is a way better character than Elena, and they will also agree that the show died when they killed off Katherine. Why are producers not listening to us? I mean, we bring the sales, make the views, get them money. Producers/writers/directors are not doing anything about making the show look good. It used to be so good 3 seasons ago. Now when Nina left, there is no hope. They fucked up already damaged storyline, they paired up unpairable characters, and kept producing bullshit. I seriously hope Nina comes back before the last episode, and hope more to see Katherine, slaying everyone in the final scene. She deserves that.

They were are talking about the character she's playing. She's acting as Elena, Katherine and Amara. In case you've been missing out, Amara is the original doppelganger of Katherine and Elena.

She is selfish and spoiled by the fame cause leaving the show is the dumbest decision imo. I could understand if there is sensible reason but there is not and she done nothing so far when she left the show.
Yeah completely fucking selfish. It's not like she has to make out and pretend to be the girlfriend of the man who broke up with her just to marry somebody else in the real life. And this happened around season 4. She kept acting alongside with him, just for the fans. Besides she isn't coming back for 20 episodes or something. And you guys have no right to judge her because its her life and her decision. Thats none of your buisness because its only her who can make choices for herself. She had done a lot . I dont even know if u notice but even of she left the show she is the most popular out of all tvd stars even more than ian(who was once the most popular out of all tvd casts), she made the most money out of all of them, and she gained more followers. She appears in alot some of talk shows, which none of the other tvd stars has went to. She had done many things in her career while the others after tvd arent even well known anymore, she made her own choice and became more known because probably she didnt listen to haters like you.
She only signed up for 6yr on the contract. And she told Julie she would come back for last episode in season 8 and she did. Both actually, as Katherine and Elena.
