    I stopped getting my prescriptions from Walmart and started going to a local Christian pharmacy some years ago. I still remember getting such a lovely hand written letter from the owner thanking me for my business that I called them and thanked THEM for such a kind and thoughtful act. A hand written letter or even a short note is such an unknown thing today and it really makes an impression.

    Jesus of Nazareth opened my eyes five years ago. I am sixty-six years old.
    Young people, listen to this man. God has used James Tour and filled him with His Spirit. God has given this man great wisdom, discernment and knowledge. Listen to Tour as long as he continues to give the glory to Jesus of Nazareth.
    I made a wasteland of the first sixty-one years of my life. God has forgiven me much, and though He promises that He forgets our sins the memories remain. The memories remain because God loves us. Think on that.
    I really love this brother in Christ Jesus because God first loved me. James Tour is imparting a great wealth of wisdom in this short talk. Open the ears of your heart and learn from this man of God. Learn while you are young.

You are a blessing to everyone around you, spreading the Word of God! You helped me with your words today more than i can describe in this short message! I read my word everyday, but what you do is on another level! Glory be to our Lord! Btw i would like to send you a letter, but dont know where to send it to... If you can give me some info i would love to do it. That's one of the things I learned today. 😁

    I have been praying for wisdom as a child and still praying. I am now 46. But don't seem to have wisdom. Wondering if the LORD has passed by me...😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 LORD help me get wisdom. I am still crying. Still struggling with my vocation and used to be suicidal. I have been reading the Bible for a long time...probably my depression is killing. I wish some of the stories that you shared were true for me. May be its my depression that is unable to see positives....

    • @Resolute070
      @Resolute070 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am praying for you. I am a few years your senior and have fought a lifetime of fear and depression. Please embrace your own story. God navigates His will differently in the lives of His believers.
      Scripture cautions us against coveting, which I believe can include seeing other believers as more blessed/closer to God than we are. Major lessons I’m learning include praise/worship v. self-pity/despair; Christ-reliance v. self-reliance; gratitude v. perspective of lack; anticipation of future with God v. shame of past; love v. judgment, etc.
      A lifetime of worry and recent hardships have brought me back to the Lord in a real way. I’m thankful the Bible indicates God hears and intervenes for the broken-hearted who seek Him. Do I ever wonder why some have more tangible and/or emotional experiences with the Lord? Sure. But then I remember I’m not focusing on Him. He sees our heart and faithfulness. Faith means we trust in our Lord even when emotional highs aren’t part of our earthly experience.
      Another hard lesson has been shutting down my need to control/overthink everything. I believe I’ve missed blessings when I’ve tried to fit God into my life according to my will and limited vision. The truth is the path most Christians braved before us was paved with faith in the midst of tremendous hardship and fear. I encourage you to trust in God’s special plan for you as you “turn your eyes upon Jesus” and put your everything into loving Him and His Word/commandments. We can trust HE will complete His sanctification work in us.
      May God comfort you and touch you deeply with a divine sense of your value and purpose in Him. With Him as our portion, it’s more than worth what it costs us to endure. Blessings. 🙏

      you are "commanded" to study as a workman (not just read)....use a pencil, copy paper to follow center column verse references and have a strong's concordance/dictionary handy (either hardback or via esword (free). You ask the Lord to open His Word to you and as you read if there is a word, subject, topic verse that has you wondering what does that mean??...that's the Lord speaking to you to search out following the verse reference(s). Follow the trail of verse references throughout the scriptures. that white copy paper is like an empty canvas and each verse reference(s) you note down are like brush strokes. Soon you will have the "picture" the Lord is explaining to you about His relationship with you, His relationships with the triune God, events, etc...but you will realize it is the Lord Himself opening up the Scriptures to you and knowing He sees you and is speaking to you. At this point do NOT read commentaries, search out the matter/Scriptures yourself and the Lord will give you confirmation later.

    • @BAM-jc7uy
      @BAM-jc7uy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Part2....ps/when you read the book of Psalms the very first Psalm 1 chapter is only about one person who can totally fulfill what is written...and it is not us. When you read Psalms go slow and ASK who the reference pronouns are and who is speaking to who. Many, many verses are the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit speaking to each other about each other, their feelings, their lauds of each other, their actions, their plans and how they are handling things...like revealing Jesus' thoughts and feelings and crying out to the Father when He would go alone to pray, not just on the Cross. Our God wants YOU to hear their conversations, etc. Remember in Psalms know who is speaking to who...this is not just about David's human feelings. Remember We are sojourners, strangers, aliens in this world/earth...You will not be called home until your appointments/your assignments are finished...Your purpose here is to glorify God through your walk, public or private, and for you to know His Word, so he can put words in your mouth to minister to others that you have an "appointment" with AND it might just be a few words of kindness to the lost in the name of the Lord. Be well and strong and wise only through His Word and your study as a workman.

I responded BezALEL and then this popped up (6 yrs later). I AM trying to say thanks. Abraham Tanks. 💕

    Dr. Tour, scripture and godly counsel has been transforming me over the last year from fear and anxiety to someone who just faced a fear without despair (my father has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer). I love the word, but I was not reading it. I got over my perfectionism and just read on my phone last thing before bed every night until I couldn't keep my eyes open. That gave me consistency, then, for Lent I started getting up earlier that I ever have and I would spend the first half hour reading the word. After many years of belief, I am three chapters away from finishing the whole Bible. I have been working on memorizing part of Ephesians, and though I am making slow progress, I have about 20 verses memorized. To the Christian, once we start feeding on the word of God, we know how good it is and we desire more. I love your passion for your work and your faith.

    My question is, in the old testament KJV version, God told Jacob(Israel) to put Ash tree branches in the water of the cows for fertility reasons. So, does the Ash tree have fertility elements still today, and is it just for cows or for people as well? Or perhaps does it work through the cow when it is consumed? I hope you understand my question! I tried not to elaborate too much.

    How is Jim’s method of spreading his message about origin of life different from how flat Earthers and anti-vaxxers spread their messages? Considering Professor Dave talks about all 3 of them, does Jim really want to be part of a group that contains flat Earthers and anti-vaxxers?

      @@watchman2866 You just can't believe the explanation tons of evidence, from multiple fields of science supports, which has held up against scruteny for the better part of 2 centuries and serves as the cornerstone of modern medicine and agrarculture. That is a depressingly typical example of how damaging religion is.
