I'm crying over these good times and... *It's fun to remember them!*
I hope we have a Double Dash 2 for the Switch Imagine the new doubles we could have, such as Rosalina & Luma, Baby Peach & Baby Daisy, Shy guy & Fly Guy (maybe?), Dry bones & dry bowser and more ! Also, it would have 12 runners (24 characters in the same race), bikes, anti-gravity and glider! Would be wonderful...
There are things we gotta take into account. Double Dash gave each team a special item common to them. Some of these special items were previously generic items that anyone could get depending on their position (Super Mushroom, Triple Shells, Bob-Ombs) whereas others weren't (Hearts, Fireballs, Bowser Shell, Giant Banana, Chain Chomp, Eggs). Even then, some of those items were re-purposed (Chain Chomp into Bullet Bill). I would prefer each team gets a special item that couldn't be obtained prior. Hearts, Bowser Shell, Giant Banana, and Eggs can return for the Princesses, Bowser and Jr., the Kongs, and Yoshi+Birdo. what sort of items would Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach get? Rosalina and Luma? The Babies? The Baby Princesses? The Shy/Fly Guys? Dry Bowser and Dry Bones? And would there be any characters who can score any special item like Petey Piranha and King Boo? And who would the pairings actually be? Peach and Daisy, for instance? Or, as another example, Peach and Baby Peach, and Daisy and Baby Daisy? Double Dash also limited Kart selection based on who was heaviest and gave each character their own personal Kart. Would they give each character their own personal Kart and let you modify them with gliders and Wheels? Or would they come up with Karts anyone can drive like usual and determine stats purely by whoever you're using? With two players, how would total stats be determined in that fashion? In MK64, you could drag items behind you as a shield, but MKDD didn't let you do that. If they give you the option to do that, then I would assume dragging a Bowser Shell or Giant Banana behind you as a shield would slow your Kart down since they're big and heavy. It'll be the price for a powerful shield since neither can be broken by smaller shells, and they would have better luck blocking green shells due to their larger area. That's all I have right now. I can come up with other things later.
Paratroops is my favourite in this game and I’m devastated that he barely shows up as a playable character in any games whatsoever. As my partner I have Waluigi. This is my favourite Mario Kart ever! P.S HI I’M DAISY!!!
Idk, i think a better duo would be Petey & Wiggler (like in Mario Power Tennis) and King Boo & a normal Boo, but well, i am happy to see both playable in this game :D

Don't bother picking as Bowser Jr if you finding his wailing insufferable... or at least try not to lose as Bowser jr... I highly recommend playing as Wario if you lose a lot. with the "I lost to a bunch of losers" part.
