    very good video, except the RF coil does not ignite the plasma; it just
    couples it so that it does not extinguish. the first ions are actually
    initiated from a lightning bolt, which goes from the left side of the
    torch (where the copper foil is - the foil is connected to a tesla coil)
    to the metal sticking out on the right (ground)
    the lightning bolt can actually be seen, just look through the window next time turning the plasma on.

      Chemical laboratories, environmental labs and also hospitals can use ICP. It's used for elemental analysis in samples that are in a liquid form.
