Well done for doing a video. I'd suggest using a siemens VDO pump. Aftermarket are crap and the old saying goes, buy cheap buy twice. As for the water sensor on the fuel filter, i've unplugged mine and most remove as they were so crap landrover removed them themselves as they constantly had faults. Once again great job for making videos
Question: I’ve installed not one but 2 of these pumps and at 25% on the gauge my tank is empty. I’ve checked the resistance and it checks out with what the shop manual says it’s supposed to read. Am I doing something wrong?
Thats a strange one, I'd suggest starting with simple things like checking fuses and the gauge it's self if not it could be in your loom somewhere. Hope you get it sorted!
@@lanceford98 thanks for the prompt reply. Everything was fine-except for the pump not pumping-before I replaced it. Someone commented elsewhere that it might be a Bosch specific pump that’s required…. I’ll go through the steps. Thanks again.
Could be the purge not being good enough, I'd try that again and then hook up another car with jump leads sometimes they take abit more juice to get going. Bit of easy start Could also help to get it to catch

Brilliant video! Do some more!!
More to come!
Makes a lot more sense than others doing the same thing
You purge the fuel system by pressing the accelerator pedal around 5 times, then repeat the process 5 times, no need to use the starter motor
Great videos when's the next one coming out?
Great video man can't wait to see your video on roof lineing only think that let's down my d2 es autobiography
Thanks man means alot
You can leave it on ACC and pump the throttle 5 times and the MIL light comes on and it purges the system
This is another one of the ways people suggest ill keep this pinned for anyone who wants to do it this way

@@martinhogan5970 how strange I've only ever used the ebay ones so not sure, dose the truck still turn over and do everything else correctly?
@@lanceford98 yes. Runs fine. Just won’t show less than 25% on the gauge.
@@martinhogan5970 thats so strange wish I could be of more help but I've never come across this issue. Bad ground maby ?
Any more vids pal

Hi mate, I've done everything the same as you have, but mine is not starting😂 any ideas
