These recaps are why I'll never watch another episode of Ninja Warrior. They're 1000X more entertaining, suspenseful, and 100% free of competitor backstories.
I want to watch more action not get to know the athlete before I have ever seen them in competition.. Canada does this when the CBC covers the Olympics. Have of the coverage is people talking or back stories on the athletes. Just show the sports!!!
I like the backstories but the American ones are waaaay too fake and dramatized and omg my kids, my family all that American BS 😂 I prefer any other Ninja Warrior over American, like Australian and even UK is better than the sappy cheesy American one
The shock that overtook me when just before the final run, Team USA’s moustachioed man pulled off his wig to reveal he was Magnus Midtbø the whole time…
It's funny because Japan is the world's strongest climbing nation and has any number of amazing pro climbers, but they don't fly to the U.S. for American Ninja Warrior.
I mean in all fairness here, the jumping spider was originally a part of the Japanese Ninja Warrior show as a stage one obstacle. What we know today as American Ninja Warrior is a combination of the original's stage 1, 2 and 3 hazards combined with some new original ones thrown in. Trust me, the original layout and obstacles of each stage from the original show were WAY more brutal than what ANW has today. It only gets worse given the original worked on a count down timer instead of count up timer like ANW does, meaning you were racing to finish.
I mean... is it not? I've been around the world a dozen times and I can assure you that the rest of the world is Europe and Japan - and Europe is quickly losing ground.
the huge problem for Japan is that the American version of these courses are made for taller, stronger, buffer men. It is calculated so that the smaller statured Japanese have an ungodly handicap against them
Isaac Caldiero has been around forever. Used to hang and climb with Dave Graham and those guys in the early 2000's CO era. He's legit, also one of the only guys to win the newer "American Ninja Warrior" kinda to be expected
Ohh my gooodness 🤣🤣🤣 The BEST COMMENTATOR OUT THERE! "Which is close enough to understand how linguine works." - Points to empty spot on shelf - "oh I forgot I threw it" 😂😂😂
I'm not a big climbing guy but this was a really great and funny video! You are a lot of fun and hilarious - great jokes! It looks a lot like you're having a blast while recording these videos. Good luck in the new year!
Watched Magnus for years. Legit, first YT ad of my life that has worked. Started climbing with my daughter recently and the best chalk in the world is what we deserve :)
At the risk of seeming old (which i am heading towards). I remember watching the original Ninja Warrior and telling my mates that climbers could do very well at the competition. This was in the very early 2000s.
Thanks for the recap. You saved me a lot of time. I never watch this show and I don’t know why it was in my feed, but anyway it was entertaining thanks to the way you cut boring things.
Ik it was meant to be a joke, but the Weathernan was actually the replacement for Geoff Britten. He wasn't on the original team because everyone in the regular season did better than him. I can't wait for you to do 2016's international competition, bc instead of Japan, they have a team from Latin America.
I think the reason people struggle at the end grabbing the net is because most of them have to swing their legs forward and then they don't have enough time to get their hands in front of them
The rungne raffle is always disappointing. It'll always say you won, but require you to spend a bunch of money on a full price item in order to claim the "free" item from the raffle.
All these obstacle courses are just perfect for climbers because climbing stuff is just what's difficult for all the other sports. Play badminton? Well, you can't climb super well. Strongest man? Also super heavy and while you have decent grip, you're not 3x as strong as the tiny climber guy. Soccer player? Skips grip day. Its hard for everyone except them, but they also have some pretty good all-rounder capability because pro climbing requires arms, legs, and core as well as fingers.
Have you considered doing a recap of Sasuke? I'm not sure if there's an English version, but you don't really need to know the language to understand what's happening. This year's competition ended with a crimping challenge, and (spoiler alert) no one could get past that part of the course. Although the first course is mostly silly and the second course is sort of easy, the third course was really intense. Overall, the show is really fun and would probably make for a good recap. I believe it's the basis for the original Ninja Warrior dub that everyone watched growing up, except in Japan they only do it once a year and the broadcast is like 8 hours long. But it's worth noting that it's sort of a nepotistic show, full of celebrities or friends of friends or people who train with former contestants, etc., and there are only 100 competitors.
random fact about this: yusuke morimoto "the short guy" in stage 3 is the only one to clear crazy cliffhanger (sasuke 29,31), ultra crazy cliffhnager (sasuke 34-36) cliffhnager dimension (sasuke 38,40,41) with 100 % clear rate and has only failed vertical limit 2 time out of his 8 attempts equaling to a 75 percentage clear rate. and has done total victory in 2 seasons (sasuke 31 and sasuke 38)
lol the lil shit , I love your commentary ! I’m not a rock climber , but I think I could have been when I was younger , I’ve always climbed things, now I have too many horse injuries… I do extreme cowboy. Love your channel … hey from Australia 🇦🇺
America has more advantages because they have a training centre for the ninja warrior,I saw it on TH-cam Japan doesn’t have them, even though they are the best at climbing normal rock climbing things, but if it ninja warrior is similar to monkey bars that spin on an axle we have them in nz and climbing walls and free running on the wall with out a harness on steroids.
These recaps are why I'll never watch another episode of Ninja Warrior. They're 1000X more entertaining, suspenseful, and 100% free of competitor backstories.
Same
As Climbing Stuff himself said, America has this weird obsession with complaining, especially in those ANW backstories
No no-- don't admit that. They're gonna see this, say he's directly competing for viewers, and strike every video into the stone ages haha
I want to watch more action not get to know the athlete before I have ever seen them in competition..
Canada does this when the CBC covers the Olympics. Have of the coverage is people talking or back stories on the athletes. Just show the sports!!!

16:14 no The V2 bouldering wall joke never gets old.
Imagine if any of the pro climbers fell off, the memes would follow them for life
@@ThatLaggyNoob I think they may need to go into hiding.
lol m.th-cam.com/video/uZdv-TtiMkg/w-d-xo.html
He downgraded it lol it used to be a v3
The shock that overtook me when just before the final run, Team USA’s moustachioed man pulled off his wig to reveal he was Magnus Midtbø the whole time…
It's funny because Japan is the world's strongest climbing nation and has any number of amazing pro climbers, but they don't fly to the U.S. for American Ninja Warrior.
Right, imagine what the likes of Sorato, Tomoa, Meichi, Yoshiyuki to name a few would do to these ninja courses.
If I had to guess it's cause they don't care
@@Aaron-xq6hv they probably don't, but I saw Tomoa dynoing on toilet seats the other day for some Japanese tv show.
@@goloher Yo. Is this available to watch anywhere besides on Japanese TV? Because I saw Akiyo's instagram post about this and I'm dying to see it.
@@goloher lmao, you gotta put a link here for it
The jumping spider obstacle is blatantly unfair lmao. The shorter Japanese guys could barely even reach the ends
"America" ninja warriors
And yet many ANW women can do it. They average about 5’5”
I mean in all fairness here, the jumping spider was originally a part of the Japanese Ninja Warrior show as a stage one obstacle. They should adjust it to each person based on wingspan, that would make it seem actually fair
@@purevessle2641 fr, that’s what I’m sayin
To me its kinda funny that "the world" is just Europe and Japan
Thats already way too much places outside of freedom land.
Its just branding
The first world series only allowed American teams to play despite there being a Japanese team wanting in. FK everything about America :)
I mean... is it not?
I've been around the world a dozen times and I can assure you that the rest of the world is Europe and Japan - and Europe is quickly losing ground.
Presumably the 'Ninja Warrior' brand / associated shows are most popular in Europe and Japan
Well the next competition replaces Japan with Latin America.
9:26 Unfortunately Japan is just too far away from Italy to get the linguini ladder 😔
I guess there should be a petition to rename it the ramen radder
Ok that one got me good.
"Probably because he's more aerodynamic" LMAO
YES! totally took me off guard
Love the editing and humour of these round ups, so so funny. Also “parkour and badminton are basically the same thing”
Nothing could've prepared me for the first 5 seconds of this video
I laughed so fucking hard 😂😂
would have expected the badminton player to fly through this in seconds considering their training
Hardest sport by far
They don’t call it goodminton them boys are bad
He went fast at first but lost speed towards the end of the course.
Facts, the training badminton players go through is nuts 🤯🤯🤯
Yeah, but I feel like American Ninja Warrior almost IS climbing
the huge problem for Japan is that the American version of these courses are made for taller, stronger, buffer men. It is calculated so that the smaller statured Japanese have an ungodly handicap against them
No, its just that all of Japan's best competitors don't compete in American Ninja Warrior, they compete in Sasuke, the original Ninja Warrior show.
Isaac Caldiero has been around forever. Used to hang and climb with Dave Graham and those guys in the early 2000's CO era. He's legit, also one of the only guys to win the newer "American Ninja Warrior" kinda to be expected
He’s solood like 5.14
Ohh my gooodness 🤣🤣🤣 The BEST COMMENTATOR OUT THERE! "Which is close enough to understand how linguine works." - Points to empty spot on shelf - "oh I forgot I threw it" 😂😂😂
I still find it hilarious that rock climbers are just rocking climbing shoes
Fr climbers litterally said i see rocks its my time to shine and busts out a pair of geniuses
I'm not a big climbing guy but this was a really great and funny video! You are a lot of fun and hilarious - great jokes! It looks a lot like you're having a blast while recording these videos. Good luck in the new year!
When’s Magnus going undercover on American ninja warrior
Climbing Stuff never fails to deliver. I wanted to hit the like button several times, forgetting that I already did it... several times.
Watched Magnus for years. Legit, first YT ad of my life that has worked. Started climbing with my daughter recently and the best chalk in the world is what we deserve :)
You did Japan so dirty xD And, no, the V2 bouldering wall never gets old.
I know it's gonna be a good video when you already have me chuckling 5 seconds in.
This guy is getting funnier with each video. Love the plot twist at the end with Mustacio
At the risk of seeming old (which i am heading towards).
I remember watching the original Ninja Warrior and telling my mates that climbers could do very well at the competition.
This was in the very early 2000s.
They could probably win stage 3, 4 and most likely 2 pretty consistently but they typically have a lot of issues on stage 1 and the qualifying rounds
Magnus batman transition was a work of art
Favorite channel on YT - praise be to the church!
Dude you’re going to blow up, these videos are hilarious
No one talking about the perfect transion at 3:48? Cracked me up, never change
18:18 the laughing at your own joke + just cutting away was hilarious haha
“Dunkin’ Donuts tightest spiral of the game” im fucking dead 😂😂
2:11 You gotta love how he's building up the moment like a good narrator, and then bait and switch, real life happens.
This is too funny. The guy who spreads positiveness about alopecia had me rofl
Yusuke Morimoto faced stage 3 in both USA vs the World #1 and #3 and cleared it each time, actual goat
Thanks for the recap. You saved me a lot of time. I never watch this show and I don’t know why it was in my feed, but anyway it was entertaining thanks to the way you cut boring things.
sitting here watching, while noticing your likes go up is dope and well deserved! started watching this video at 795 likes now its at 802
You look like as if Josh Hutcherson and William Osman had a baby and I can't unsee it
This was in 2015 by the way. When he says "last year", it was 2015. Probably is watch was damaged in the last dyno! 😀
I cannot imagine I just watched this Stefano dude actually completing the V2 boulder problem. This is sick.
This was so much better than actually watching Ninja Warrior lol
Actually cried laughing. Good work.
No backstories all the action love it!
Less than 5 minutes in and I'm subbing dude absolutely hilarious
Ik it was meant to be a joke, but the Weathernan was actually the replacement for Geoff Britten. He wasn't on the original team because everyone in the regular season did better than him.
I can't wait for you to do 2016's international competition, bc instead of Japan, they have a team from Latin America.
Undercover climber really proved his big words from the start huh
Dude, that was funny. I enjoyed how you kept hyping up Japan😂😂
bro when they see "do you see the way hes looking at the wall right now" made me laugh so hard for some reason
I thought I watched a Sean McColl interview where he said the climbing wall obstacle is around a V6
3:48 is just about the best advertisement transition i have seen in my 15 years watching youtube
i will never get tired of the V2 suspens
Loving the more frequent uploads 🔥
I would find it interesting to see how a pro climber will do on the show now, seeing as this episode is almost 9 years old 😂
Not as good since the course is much more specialized now, they probably wouldn’t get that far
6:09 omg is thay guy also training for the same badminton tournament
I have a strong feeling about the American propaganda here
the bakugan thing at the back of the setup is dope man
I liked this video because you threw mag dust at me aggressively.
The little shift
I think the reason people struggle at the end grabbing the net is because most of them have to swing their legs forward and then they don't have enough time to get their hands in front of them
How did nobody try that jumping spider in prep and be like, maybe too hard and stupid?
The rungne raffle is always disappointing. It'll always say you won, but require you to spend a bunch of money on a full price item in order to claim the "free" item from the raffle.
Magnus' disguises are getting a little too realistic 🤦♂
💀💀💀
waiting for the day you join the ninja warrior yourself and show them who's boss
I laughted way too hard from the transition, haouhasouhousahauosh
8:08 SNAKE! SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!
The guy who got sick in round 2 was one of the original finishers of the course. He lost the money but finished the course first
The v2 joke will never get old.
I didn’t realize how thick those ledges were lmao
More impressive: the undercover climber did it without bouldering shoes!
I love how he hypes up on Japan, shows a clip of them falling, and pretends like nothing happened
In the end, the climbers always win
That knee bar might have cost him race. Without it, he might have had the better time
Love this series!
The way you called him a POS, I immediately knew what he did even though I hadn't heard about this. When I googled it was confirmed. Damn...
I just noticed Stefano was wearing mavrinks the whole time LOL

I think there were some English dubs of this back in the day since I recall watching this on G4, iirc.
you did Japan so dirty and I'm here for it
Japans struggle and the v2 bouldering problem will always he hilarious
Why drew gotta be so good at this game 😂 ultimate villain of ninja warrior
Dude, bro, $58 for a t-shirt hurt me.
I did it to support you and the Church, but damn, that hurt.
I had better go up a grade or else I'm refunding!
I accidentally spat my drink out at 2:35
i caught me off-guard
Can't seem to get the rungne raffle link to show how to enter the raffle?
idk i'm trying to figure it out
omggg weatherman is a Ninja Warrior icon

If you don't know that mustacheyo guy at the end, he is the season 2015 ANW winner. 😊
2:25 this is the engineer dude from the movie Prometheus
The dude called it. He said if he was there they would have won.
They fell on the Spider because most of them were just too short.
Where do you find that? Can you give me the Link or URL
YEAAAH THIS IS WHAT WE WANTTT
Thanks climber idubbz
12:10 had me in tears
Looks like Sean was recruited to the Euro team! Can they now trade athletes? Even more exciting!!🤙🏽
Actually the V2 joke got funnier with time haha
Worldclass ending 😂
i have no idea how Ninja Warrior eorks but this video was very enjoyable
Thank you my lord and savior for another great video :)
I didn't know, Lemmy Kilmister does Ninja Warrior.
How do you find that video?
when i open the link there doesnt come anything up about any raffle? anyone know why mby??
