Happy anniversary Janine and Liam. Old person here. This is definitely one of my favourite UK videos of yours because it brought back lots of great memories. In the famed summer of 1976 I spent 5 months doing seasonal work in a small hotel in Mortehoe. There I met one of my oldest friends, who stayed on after I'd gone back to London and who bagged the hunkiest bloke in the whole of North Devon. They're still together and these days own a gorgeous b&b in Croyde overlooking the beach. Back in '76, we also went to the Grampus pub in Lee every weekend where they had a "house band" whose performance depended on how drunk they were! But it was a night out in an area with not much night life for two 19-year-old girls. However, IMHO North Devon is one of the UK's best-kept secrets. These days I live in Sydney which has its fair share of nice beaches, but Woolacombe and Saunton are in a class of their own. Looking forward to your next adventure. 💗

Love the video. I first stayed on that site with my parents, then later with my own wife & family several times & then again on my own, one time being the eclipse in 1999. I've not been there for a while but apart from the big static caravans it hasn't changed much at all. Love that area.

I live on the South Wales coast and sailed past Lee Bay endless times and never knew about this honey pot. Will definitely be calling next time and Porlock weir just up from Lee Bay is definitely worth a visit but no sandy beech unfortunately but is a other honey pot 👍

Great vid guys. Nice to see you exploring my home county of glorious Devon. I can thoroughly recommend going South to Totnes. There's a castle, loads of new age shops, plenty of vegan eateries.. Dartmouth is pretty and if you follow the river inland you come to the Sharpham Estate. Remember the Barn retreat center I go to? Beautiful scenery, red earth, rolling hills, just lovely.

Adding to the videos I’ve watched from your top 10z Want to do a Devon, Cornwall trip in our van. Husband is from Brighton and he went loads when he was young but I’m from Glasgow so it would be a first for me. We live in Yorkshire is it worth another go at the husband?!!!

Neither. You need to go to the church along the road to Woolacombe. Then you will see the gate to a field, then just walk towards the sea and tou will find it 😊
