In 84 I built an 81 Capri and I put the Kamei X-1 ground effects kit. I have a 3 position adjustable rear wing with Simmons V4 16” rims. Lowered with bilstein B1 suspension. I was killing ZR1’s and Grand nationals. Nobody could touch it. I still have the car.
Very cool! I only knew of DECH in the last few years, but have begun to really appreciate them in the last few months. Hope to have a DECH kit on one of mine some day.
I agree with you. Dude has been doing it way before me going back to his streaming days and really knows his stuff well, especially on the modified cars.
Good video Matt as always I do have a rear hatch cover in Black for Chris you can mention that to him. (4sale of course). Also I have a good collection of foxbodys that you may want to film in your next shoot. One is a 93 GT Reef blue with black interior the other is a 93 wild strawberry Coupe with black interior and my 90 GT 25th anniversary with black interior also I do have a 93 convertible with white interior, we'll have to talk I'm in Florida there's some good stories that go along with it.👍👍👍
@@TheInfamousProject that spoiler sort of reminds me of the 90 Saleen “double stack” spoiler. It’s a nice different look on a fox that stands out. I also have a friend here in the US that desperately wants a Dech Mustang bad.
Another cool one with Chris, looks like a great time, great weather, great story Matt & Chris. Can't wait for the next one. Hope everything is okay Matt!
I love these Dech cars they're freaking pretty bad ass especially any of the ones that Chris has he's got a gorgeous collection. you got to have the right taste though i think at first I knew nothing about em until 10 years into doing Fox body stuff but now that I know it's the Canadian saleen basically it's a complete different outlook for me... I hope whatever family emergency you have going on gets better Bro and thanks for the videos as always I'm sure you definitely needed a break from two times a week for the last 3 and 1/2 years that's a lot of work from what I hear but that gives you more time to create better stuff so I'm okay with it always going to be a fan Matt!!!
Hey Shifty! Yeah i've really come around to the DECH's as well. They are a very unique and cool part of history. Everything is good to go know with the family, but thanks for asking about that. I plan to be back at the 2x a week in the future, but it is nice to have a break. Thanks for being such a constant supporter.
Another amazing video....The Infamous Project has some awesome rides and I'm super jelly of his collection🤑 This hatch is just simply gorgeous!! Also, thanks for mentioning my channel! I took a few weeks off during the holidays when Sally's mom passed away so I'm trying to reset and get back in the swing of things, so the mention is much appreciated. Matt, I'm wishing you, your channel and your family all the best for 2022🙌
Hey Paul! I'm so sorry again for Sally's loss. Definitely thinking of you guys. I have a full shop tour coming, so hope you will be able to catch that one and best of luck to you as well in 2022.
Hope the family is ok Matt!! Great video as always and these Dech foxes are absolutely beautiful!! The only thing I would say are those wheels do not do that car justice imo….they remind me of those old early 90s American Racing wheels. That interior is flawless!!!
Pretty sure these Borbet Type A's were a knock off of Speedlines made for the Ferrari F40. The American Racing 5 spokes were just a general flat 5 spoke generic wheels that drew styling cues from all flat 5-stars from that Era. A wheel guy wouldn't think these look like AR's.
Thanks for that feedback Jason! I am definitely not a wheel “guy” I guess, as I think the original 5 star ponies are one of the best looking wheels for our fox bodies.
I love it bro, you guys keep getting together... You guys complaining about views will be be a lot less...😂🤣😂 Na on the real, awesome video.✌️👍😜😎😉🙌🍻🤟👌👋
Can the "bubble" hatch from a 1985 Capri RS be transplanted (easily) onto a '85 Mustang GT? I remember seeing this set-up back in the '80s on a Mustang from J. Bittle American in San Diego. Has anyone you know done this swap?
Yes it can be done, actually in Mexico Mustangs came with the "bubble" hatch as original equipment in 1983 and 1984. You might have to change the latch but other than that it should be a pretty easy swap, but it is something many Fox fanatics (both Capri and Mustang) are going to totally disapprove

Man that is awesome! Even better you still have the car.
I live an hour west of Toronto. Airport road used to be my stomping grounds.
The car was called Rat Poison. It killed all those big rat motors!
Can remember reading about the Dech mustang in muscle mustang and fast fords magazine, though you were going to show off your cowboy boots.
Hah hah, they don't make them in my size!
I've gotten behind on filming and watching vids, had a plumbing accident. Glad that this popped up tonight, I absolutely love thay Body kit
No worries man, life happens. I appreciate whenever you watch my videos.
It’s cool to learn about the Dech stuff. Saleen vs Dech, on track. Who wins!? Lol
Chris has a really cool collection.
