- Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
I've had some messages this week asking if I have any more of the logo glassware that recently sold in my Ebay Store. Join me for a day at Goodwill here in Las Vegas to see if I can find any on the shelves. After my shopping trip I’ll do a short haul to show you everything I found.....so, lets go thrifting!

An easy way to clean the inside of the vases. Warm water and denture cleaning tablets. You will be amazed!

Those prices are unbelievable...the local goodwills where I live are asking for retail prices and more for donated items!!!!

Every goodwill I’ve been to in Missouri and Florida ask retail prices for their donations. Has nothing to do with reselling, but everything to do with greed on CEO’s part. They don’t help anyone in the community.
I worked at Goodwill and our collectors and flippers were some of our best customers. You got to know whose interest was what and I got to know who were the poop-disturbers. One was so spiteful, her thing was gold so she wasn't really interested in anything other than jewelry but if she saw two particular people in there (one was vintage WWII and WWI books and the other was also jewelry but gems, not metals) she would scoop all of those items and walk around with them in her cart, then "change her mind" when the person was gone. What??? It's not like they were "competition". Another lady had a small thrift store in a farming community about 150miles away so she bought a lot of clothing. Someone told me "you know she marks them up and sells them..." We don't care - it's not scalping. Once we sell it, it's no longer our concern what you do with it. Happy treasure hunting!

I used to love shopping at Goodwill and other thrift stores, but once I found "Offer Up" I don't shop anywhere else! I now shop from the comfort of my recliner chair.

The Goodwill where I live is so over priced that I have noticed items still there a week or more after I saw it the first time. They used to have such good turn over and I saw new stuff all the time. I now try to frequent garage/yard sales that don't benefit some CEO
There's still some good ones out there but you're right. The Goodwill prices are getting out hand and The Salvation Army is worse

I believe what is happening is that the workers or their families are buying up all of the good stuff and are selling on ebay.

That World Series travel mug you got was when the Oakland A’s we’re playing the San Francisco Giants when the 1989 huge earthquake happened! I remember because I felt it!! Scared me so much and there were aftershocks all night long!! It should sell good to someone from the Bay Area!!

YES!!!! I was going to say the same. That mug is epic!!! Battle of the Bay...and then the earthquake hit.....I lived in San Mateo at the time!!! It was WOW!!! That was the only time the World Series was stopped...with all the USA watching!!!! GREAT FIND!!!!!
Yes, one of my best friends lives in San Francisco, and thank God everyone was at the ballgame and other places or there would have been so many more deaths when the bridge collapsed! What was the total, 3? God bless their souls.
Yep, lived in Oakland. Remember seeing the Bay Bridge & it looked like it was on fire. Very Scary day. Left CA. in 2000.

Thankgoodness for ppl like you. When my wife dropped her ceramic Wonder Woman travel mug from Hallmark that our daughter got her for Mother’s Day 2 years ago, I was able to replace it immediately from eBay right in front of her which stopped the tears. It had been a really stressful week because she had to fire someone.

I wish the Goodwill stores in Houston were this organized. They stack all the dishes and glassware on shelves on top of the racks and if you want to look at something on the bottom, it's like playing a game of Jenga.

I found a Shelly teacup made in England in a thrift store. I checked it out online and it’s valued at $115. It was so intricately crafted I just knew it was worth something. Since I’m an avid tea drinker I’m keeping it as a keepsake.

My favorite find was the .99 green Hull planter. What a deal!! The prices at your Goodwills are so much more reasonable than where I live. I actually don't really go to GW very much anymore bc of their prices.
Here in IL as well. Goodwill's have gotten more expensive. Drinking glasses used to be .99. Now they're 1.99. Just an example.

I love how you explain everything about the quality of the dishes and all of the items you check out. Wow and items there are so expensive. I’m not sure if you have habit for humanity stores there but here in South Carolina we have them and stuff you buy goes toward helping people build homes. Anyway in those stores they have tons of stuff that can be purchased to resell some where else.

Yes, I do love colored glass! I look for brand name and quality pieces but mostly pieces that I like. LE Smith, Fostoria, Fenton, Westmoreland, Jeannette, Imperial, Pilgrim, Blenko and Murano come to mind. 😊💕
Absolutely 💯,% I have many ceramic things that I picked up because I liked but I'm downsizing I would sure like to know what would sell,, otherwise I'll just give it away. Just don't have the time to go through everything. Would really appreciate your opinion on what sells in ceramic stuff, thanks again. 😊

Goodwill in Philadelphia and New Jersey gives you two colors every Sunday for a dollar and the rest of the week those colors are 50% off not bad
“Comps on EBay” are just a starting/ jumping off point. They are not the last word, just a guideline. I sell PLENTY of things never seen in “comps”.

It's how you present also… i'm retired from advertising… And it's the old saying "you can sell ice to Eskimos" if you present in the proper light. This is not about Eskimos… It means you can sell something someone represented in the right light that they already have. If done well they will buy it. Or Think or believe they need to have it. So you're sure to show its value… In the proper life. It's truly everything. Most of the time. ♥️

I love, love, love watching your shows but wanted to make a suggestion about the music which I also love except that it is a bit too loud. I find myself having to lower the volume during the music then raising it to be able to hear what you are speaking. Congratulations on your shows they are amazing keep doing them always.

I was wondering why you tell what the resell value of your items are in some videos and not in others? I don’t care for the videos without the resell value.
Good evening Tiffany, I have been binging your videos all weekend. I have to say you have inspired me to start thrifting. It is a little overwhelming because I can’t remember all the names of the items that are worth purchasing. I will have to view the videos again and write the brands or makers names/brands down for future reference. I do have a question I LOVE glasses (wine, margarita, whiskey etc.) and I would love to know what are some good brands/names I could look for, for fine glasses? When you have a moment would you let me know so when I start I know who to look for?

I’m not a reseller, but not having comps on eBay seems to me like a good thing. If you like it, maybe someone else will too, not? And you will not have as many competitors for your sales. I also think some modern pieces are very nice and desirable; I always think that the vintage pieces were modern once.

I was wondering how much you asked or sold each item for?
The Japanese lacquer swivel tray looks to me like a “chip ‘n dip” tray! The “well” in the middle of it is fir the dip. I can imagine baby carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. In the dividers. Wish I could find one I our thrift stores in Alabama! I spent a wonderful three months in Tokyo, playing the piano and singing professionally. And my son Lee spent two years in Japan, teaching English. He recently passed away. 💔

I usually have pretty good luck at our Las Vegas Goodwills, (although some are definitely better than others) but the Goodwill I visited with my Dad (in Huntington Beach, CA) in my most recent videos is honestly the most AMAAAAZING Goodwill I've ever been to!!! 😊💕
I got lucky today, I bought Longchamp Cristal D’Arques along with the Pitcher for 40 service ALL for just $25. Goodwill is amazing!

The clear glass trinket bowl is an Avon candle holder for their translucent candles. They were refillable from Avon, I dont know if they still are.

That Circus circus big mug is a collector's item. You had to be a big big roller to earn enough points in one session to get that. I have a friend that spent about $15,000 gambling there in 3 days, we stayed there and shot pool at the riviera back then, go get that mug

@@ThriftingVegas I spent a lot of time in Vegas, my grandma lived there for the last 14 years of her life. I went out 4-6 times a year since I was the only family member without kids and with a job and a boss that I could flex my schedule to do that. I also live 2 hrs from St.louis,Chicago, and 3hrs from Indianapolis and 30 min from 5 smaller airports that fly Allegiant Frontier that run a few days a week and use to be cheap lol My vacations were 9 days in Vegas so I feel more like a former local vs a tourist! Lol I can not do a trip to Vegas without a car because there are many great places no where near that tourist trap strip! Lol
Maybe next time I go out we can meet up and thrift shop and do lunch! The city grows and changes so much I wouldn't know where the newer places are, I use to love the Swap Meet, that was fun I'm not sure if that's still there or not that was about 20 years ago! Lol

This Goodwill has much better prices than Oregon coast. I have seen many Dollar Tree items for $5.99 as an example. Those Fit Flop sandals would have cost $15 - $20 at this Goodwill. Much harder to find great deals here.

Its interesting to see what the different area Goodwills sell and for what price. Glassware in our area like the green and clear vtg ones sell for so little. I was shocked to see the 5.99 price on your GW pieces. Nice finds!!

Japanese pottery is always worth it. With pottery manufacturing or firing defects are not always defects sometimes they are deliberate if hand thrown and both kinds of defects do not hurt its value most of the time, but what I cannot understand is why she didn't grab that GB Packers mug, anything NFL usually sells well.
