Start by making the sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Then recite the Apostle's Creed:
Then say 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary's (for the virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity) and then 1 Glory Be:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.
GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Rosary is essentially the decades and their associated mysteries, and only these must be prayed to "pray the rosary", either in satisfaction of Our Lady's requests, or, to gain the indulgences attached to praying the rosary.
The traditional Rosary is divided into three parts, each having five mysteries: Glorious, Joyful and Sorrowful. In his apostolic letter The Rosary of the Virgin Mary, Pope John Paul II proposed a new set of mysteries, which he called the Luminous, and which concern the period of the public life of Our Lord. For those who wish to say all 20 decades at once during the course of a day, they may be said in the following order: Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious.
For those who wish to say only 5 decades per day, the Holy Father proposed the following schedule:
Mondays & Saturdays:
JOYFUL MYSTERY (1. Annunciation 2. Visitation 3. Nativity 4. Presentation at the Temple 5. Finding in the Temple)
Tuesdays & Fridays:
SORROWFUL MYSTERY (1. Agony of Jesus in the Garden
2. Scourging of Jesus at Pillar 3. Crowning with Thorns 4. Carrying the Cross 5. Crucifixion)
Wednesdays & Sundays:
GLORIOUS MYSTERY (1. Resurrection of Jesus 2. Ascension of Jesus 3. Descent of Holy Spirit 4. Assumption of the Virgin Mary
5. Coronation of Blessed Virgin Mary)
Thursdays:
LUMINOUS MYSTERY (1. Baptism of Jesus 2. Wedding at Cana 3. The proclamation of the Kingdom of God 4. The Transfiguration 5. The institution of the Eucharist)
While meditating on the Mysteries, recite:
One Our Father (large beads), 10 Hail Mary's (small beads) & 1 Glory Be (before the next large bead) to make a complete decade of the rosary.
After each decade the Fátima Prayer may also be said:
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
Concluding Prayers
After the completion of five mysteries (5 decades), or 15 or 20, the following is customarily said:
Hail Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
(Verse) Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
(Response) That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Rosary Prayer
Let us pray, O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation. Grant, we beseech Thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Please I am in need of a lot of prayers , while visiting my Son for Easter ,I had a very bad fall and broke my left wrist and shattered it to pieces. On that Day was feeling very Blessed having my family all together after coming from church we were about ready to eat , felt a little light headed and some how couldn't move and trip on the pad that was by the stove, I had 7 stitches on my head plus had my whole elbow and wrist broken ,Now on APRIL 18th I will be going into surgery to fix my arm . I was told since I am in blood thinners , and I need to stop the Eliquist for 48 hrs, by doing that I ran a risk I might suffer a stroke, so please can you send prayers my way . I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN THE POWER OF PRAYERS AND I ONE OF HIS FAITHFUL SERVANTS . I PRAY THIS ROSARY FAITHFULLY EVERY DAY. I AM ONE OF HIS WARRIORS PEOPLE COME TO ME FOR PRAYERS NOW IT'S MY TURN TURNING TO YOU FOR PRAYERS . THAT ON THE DAY OF THE SURGERY I WON'T HAVE A STROKE . THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS . @@venusedaplanet634 ,hi no I'm having horrible pain, broke my wrist and the middle of my arm, and elbow all due to a fall where I trip by a carpet but before that I had been feeling light headed. Came here cause TUESDAY @10;30 am . I am having surgery praying everything goes well with the surgery . since I take blood thinners I could ran a risk of having a stroke ,the reason being the fact . I need to stop my blood thinners for the surgery I was told only for. 48 hrs. but between praying with all my heart and soul for me not to suffer a stroke, pray for my surgery goes well without complications .
