      YES you can !! Just use the Output 1 XLR output and connect straight to your studio monitors if they have XLR
      Inputs….. many use it that way because the FM3 works great as a sound interface too ;)

    Hi there. Great vid. If I want to integrate the fm3 into my existing board, can it still run stereo out? I do have an amp profiler on my board. Can I have both of these running? Can I have both as running two amps? I know that’s possible in the fm9 having two amp blocks but I’m trying to get around that by using my simplifier by dsm Humboldt.

    • @Anandmahangoe
      @Anandmahangoe  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there ! YES : you can run it stereo out…. Just put the FM3 last in the chain and you have XLR outs to go to FOH / mixer and stuff. You can also have your Profiler running : just don’t use the Amp + Cab blocks….. 2 amps : for sure - your profiler will be on the input of the FM3 ( pan it L ) and pan the FM3 amp + cab block R for example….. many options !!

    • @gabrieladdenbrooke1964
      @gabrieladdenbrooke1964 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Anandmahangoe thank you for this! So can I put my drive before my profiler, then have my wet effects run in the effects loop of the profiler (Simplifier Mk2), then out of that I can go into the FM3 to go stereo out? The simplifier also allows me to go stereo out to FOH. Really trying hard to not get the fm9 if not needed and I can essentially do the same thing with the double amp blocks that it runs but in my case I’m trying to use another profiler. Hope I made sense

      The FM3 as interface sucks?
      I ask, because I want to buy one, and I don't want to have to use a separate interface, so that it works correctly and complicates things more.
      I have a Pod X3 Live, which works splendidly, without latency I can monitor directly from the Daw with amp sim, record whatever I want, it has an excellent preamp to record quality DIs, and everything works perfectly.
      I just want to upgrade to fm3, since I can have the IRS load box incorporated, less size, and something very practical for live and home recording context.
      Do you know if the FM9 improved in something that aspect? Have better preamps and converters? And the latency to monitor amp sims from the Daw, how efficient is this FM3 and FM9? Thanks

      Connect whatever you play the backing track on with the right cables to the INPUT 2 (stereo L/R if you like) and then add the INPUT 2 Block with FM Edit (or hardware) and connect Input 2 to OUTPUT 1 . Hopefully you have used INPUT 1 and OUTPUT 1 for your Guitar signal....this should work fine :)

      you could but CPU is limited so the reverbs will be bit of an issue for example....also I would rather use another interface for your vocals instead of the FM3 sound / quality wise....vocals need good compressor / limiters...FM3 is more guitar based .

      Exactly Joe ! Just connect the FM3 via USB to your Mac and select the FM3 as your sound card in your Macbook. Connect the Studio monitors via XLR to your Output 1 on the FM3......if you use Output 2 on the FM3 : make sure to adjust the global setting on the FM3 -> Copy Output 1 to 2......and make sure to always turn on the FM3 first , then your Studio Monitors...and turn Of the Monitors first , then the FM3 to avoid damaging to your monitors....enjoy !
