      Will do. Until then just one thing you can try once you determine the thermocline depth is to use your maps and follow the contour line for that depth around the lake while using your side imaging and down imaging. (You can use livescope but that will take a little longer to do because you will need to constantly pan left and right). Look for clouds of fish, if you are looking for schools of fish. If you are looking for individual fish I would use my livescope. I like individual fish when searching for larger fish. Thanks for watching!

    • @HookLegends

      I am happy to hear it helped. Understanding it will help to reduce a lot of unproductive water when searching for fish. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

    Wish my lake had your structure and fish mine looks like a flat desert. very little contour and hardly any structure. Most of the docks are loaded (blocked in) with grass and can't get close to them. They lower it every year to try and kill it off or at least knock it down some

    • @HookLegends
      @HookLegends  ปีที่แล้ว

      My home lake has lots of structure and lots of cover. Thousands of stumps everywhere. Fish love both. Thanks for watching!

    My friend has a hummingbird what does the thermaclime look like

    • @HookLegends
      @HookLegends  ปีที่แล้ว

      You will see a layer of the water column that looks cloudy on the screen versus the upper portion that looks clear. You may need to adjust your sensitivity to see it. Hope this helps!

    What I don't understand why people say crappies go deep when the water get to warm you said there's no Oxygen deep is 5 ft of water or 8 feet of water that's where the Oxygen is this right or wrong I'm just trying to find out where to catch crappies in our river or lake

    • @HookLegends
      @HookLegends  ปีที่แล้ว

      Each lake has it's own characteristics depending on water clarity, depth, temperature and water entering the lake. There are no set rules that appy to all lakes. Some lakes have a thermocline and some don't. Some areas of a lake with a river running through it might have some oxygen at deeper depths due to the incomming water flow. The key is to use your sidescan and down scan to find out whether there is an existing thermocline or not. If there is then I would start looking for structure at the depth of the thermocline and above. Using the thermocline as a guideline will help you eliminate unproductive waters. Thanks for the question and for watching!
