@@mattisnoren484 - I only ended up putting a stone wall around my base when I realized iron gear was good enough to melee vs trolls. 4 meter space from anything inside is good enough.
@@ahmataevo Cooper buckler is enough to meele trolls. Even copper atgeir can parry a non star troll. And stage 4 copper atgeir melt them in 5 hits after parry. And you can knock back all trolls around with the heavy atgeir attack. You just need more then 100hp and you’re fine…
I have taken a 4 month hiatus from the game but I had left it with a massive bar and lounge, two Massive light houses, and an unfinished sky scraper I was working on, all wood, no metals! I am presently at 180 meters tall with the sky scraper without any cheats. I used a secret tool for construction! I see you used the same secret tool. The pine tree.
I already tried that and the game has a flaw. Everything floats where it is and takes a long time for each unsupported part to crumble. I just tried a small test tower only about 40 meters high and then removed the entire bottom of the structure and then sat and waited, and waited, and waited. It doesn't just fall and smash up as one would be exited to see.
Quite the impressive amount of effort and dedication! I can't imagine the time it took! GREAT BUILD!!! Kinda made the souls of my feet tingle when you made it to the almost top and there wasn't any safety walls. lol
This is AWESOME! Although technically not the tallest, those pine trees actually vary a lot in size (about 20 meters), that one is pretty thin; when I build these towers I end up replanting until RNG gives me a really thick trunked pine tree. 👍 I love the design of your top circular room too! Also highly suggest adding little “wizard tower” offshoots from the main, especially if you’re using iron wood

Stands to reason that a race of people who live in vast mountain ranges should know how to cross a massive mountain valley like a flying squirrel would pass across a vast forest.. And the game does have dragons that one should be able to fashion wings out of.😀
There is a trick you can do with the harpoon to slingshot a player (in multiplayer of course). It looks like there may be just enough room up top to get a good shot off. That would be pretty epic!
I built something similar, except I skipped the tree part. I built a stone sheath around (intersecting into), and then iron-wood reinforced stone up from the earthen pillar. Then iron wood up from the stone. It wasn't as tall, but it was about 2/3 as high, maybe a little more. I reached a little ways into snow anyway. I just didn't want the interior tree hehe. I LOVE that radial room at the top though! That's really inspired.
I was so happy when you jumped off the side cause I was sitting here saying to myself, "please jump off, please jump off!", but now that I read to myself im feeling a little concerned. might need to check into a hospitle later XD

I really do need a moat around it anyway, I just had an attack of those blue giants and they damaged one my near by buildings. First time in 1400 game days. Relatively unproductive cause I start in the evening and fall asleep leaving the game running for hours. I wake up and doors are smashed and damage every where every morning I wake up irl.
@@xantishayde-walker4593 Well at least the smashed materials just land on the ground or where ever. Repairs can take away some of the boredom and tediousness of working on other project's for long periods of time.

What I want is for them to fix the gravity problem and the height limit issues, if you put 40 or 100 or 1000 lodge poles as a foundation, and keep reducing as you go up, then the sky should be the limit. But since I can just plant a pine tree and anchor off that, I'm OK with the flaws, but I would like the ability to build and use cranes and gantries.
oh yeah, trees count as a foundation. somehow that slipped my mind. I was like WTF no way! then I saw the tree and everything became clear... better protect that tree well mate! xD
Trees act as ground. There's a pillar of elevated ground with a tree planted on top, which gets you pretty high up to start with, and then the top of the tree acts as ground for the beginning of the build. From there it's iron poles, which can go up to 50 meters high. Not sure if any other tricks were used. It's an amazing build, both technically and aesthetically.

Strategic use of available resources. Build up elevation of foundation, stone columns, use pine trees for vertical support and you can go to the extreme. But it takes a lot of work and planning!
How did you get the trees up that high? Can you plant one on another or something? Also, how many viking bones are in the foundation of this monster. I can imagine lots of death from accidentally jumping wrong.
@@strict89 I built a large house on top of one of those rock towers and snowy there. But it is close to a mountain biome. My largest test tower is 180 meters (tallest stable point) located far from from any mountain biome and it also has snow on top staring about 160 or 170 meters. But I am sure how many meters it is above sea level. Maybe 50 - 70. I will have to build a temp structure to measure the elevation.
This game should have hosted severs by the devs (think world of warcraf) where no cheats, dupes, etc is a priority. It would make large builds more impressive. It’s hard to invest time into beating a game without cheats when you know cheats are a simple code away.
@@mightymadmangaming3339 - If you can backup the world, maybe pickaxe the central pillar before chopping the tree on the duplicate world. Structures collapse depressingly slowly, so it would need a speed cam of the tower collapse. It is a neat tower though.

Having build a tower like that in survival myself, its the best feeling. Specially when you start at sea level and reach snow at the top.

Cystal wall with dark wood dividers or cage walls inside kinda has that effect. Not coloured though, so it isn't perfect, but it's close.
