  • In this episode of Daily Mirror, anchor Sneha Koshy discusses the developments and possible justifications after the Bombay High Court ordered the release of the 17-year-old boy accused in the Pune Porsche crash case from a juvenile observation home. The court declared the remand order illegal and set it aside, directing that the juvenile be placed in the care of his paternal aunt, as his parents and grandfather are currently in custody.
A panel of experts has joined Sneha Koshy for a detailed discussion. Advocate Aditya Pratap says “The Justice For Juvenile Act was not meant to unveil red carpet for children in conflict with the law.." Watch the full video to know more and follow Mirror Now for the latest updates.

What is called JUSTICE in India?
Recently, a 14 year old teen in UK was sentenced to 6 years in juvenile prison for killing 2 people in an accident by driving car at 60-70 mph.
A 17 year old teen in Pune, India was released on bail and had sympathy by court as a child who killed 2 innocent youths by driving car at 120 mph = 200 km/hr and that too in a heavily drunk state. Neither the bar owners got punishment, nor the rich tycoon parents of a brat got punishment who tampered and destroyed the evidences.

This is just an accident and the juvenile is in trauma, isn't it what the High Court Of Bombay said?
Breaking down on what the court has said it being an accident.
    1) Underaged Brat driving a sports car. Is it an accident?
    2) Being underage and going inside a pub. Is it an accident?
    3) Drinking Alcohol. Is it an accident?
    4) Driving a car under the influence of alcohol. Is it an accident?
    5) Overspeeding on a city road. Is it an accident?
    6) Overspeeding even after being drunk. Is it an accident?
    7) Running away after hitting those youngsters (yes he ran away, the people are beating the other co-passenger). Is it an accident?
    8) Using the money and influence to change blood samples. Is it an accident?
    9) Family of the culprit forcing the driver to take responsibility. Is it an accident?
I really hope that the family of the victims take the case to the Supreme Court and make sure everyone responsible of the death of those two youngsters be given the maximum punishment.

Who is paying for the brats counseling sessions? Taxpayers? And what has been done to provide counseling support to the family of victims? And is drunk driving by minor is not crime but an accident. Accident is something that happens where the perpetrators do not know or expect that there can be a deleterious outcome of their action. Is the brat so young that he didn't know that driving drunk at high-speed will cause someone's death? He is fully cognizant of his actions and outcomes as much as any adult will be. Here unfortunately the letter of the law is held as a shield to protect the brat.
