    Hard to believe that something so tiny can grow to something that big. Very cute baby spiders.

  • @niatheelf

    Do you ever lose babies and then find them later like fully grown or almost grown in your room or house? I love tarantulas but finding a large spider like that would actually make me scream, they still scare me but they're so cute XD

      I would love to keep a huntsman but living with my parents means that they definitely do not want anything in the house that even resembles a spider haha

      Niarraha if I was a guest and I saw a roaming huntsman id look at it and by the time he questions me I'd be out the door and in a pest control building

      I live in Australia and find a lot of social huntsman in my house, a few weeks ago I found the tiniest baby that I put inside an enclosure to have a closer look at, 5 minutes later he was gone out of a hole in the top. A couple days ago I'm pretty sure I found the same one, a bit bigger than before, not fully grown though. I left him there, I like keeping them around. They get rid of so many annoying bugs.

      @AlexTunstall 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Xavier3hunna Spiders are a natural pest control. The vast majority of escaped spiders and tarantulas don't survive for very long outside of their enclosures, as the house they were in is most likely a climate which is entirely alien to their natural habitat. Besides this, an escaped tarantula or spider would somehow have to find another of the same species in order to breed, and not always successfully. it only takes a little bit of common sense to realise that no one "fucks up" the eco system around them by having an escaped spider. They pose no threat to you, so stepping on them doesn't prove to anyone how macho you are, but rather it shows that you're ignorant. Good day.

    • @sillygamer7949
      @sillygamer7949 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no thier harmful and can kill you

    • @Cyanbirdie
      @Cyanbirdie 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yup, they can bite but they're harmless to humans. A huntsman would much rather run away from you than attack you, they're very timid. I've handled many huntsman over the years and not once have I been bitten.

    • @Eschelonistic
      @Eschelonistic 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Their bite can be a tad painful, but no toxins. They are the spider to keep alive over here in OZ (Australia) as they tend to kill off the White tails and Red Back Spiders we have, those two are rather nasty indeed. So we tend to see the Huntsmans spiders as somewhat a household friend. That said the females tend to bite more than the males, the abdomen is the tell tale sign (size and shape). Otherwise, they are just as others have mentioned, more afraid of you, than you of them. Get them cornered, or pat them too much they will give you a nibble!

    I watched so many spiders escape this is hard to watch, your name is tarantula Dan but you seem like you've never done this before. And you're doing this on a black carpet. Those babies that escaped are going to die or end up growing in your house. Crazy. Really looks like you don't know what you're doing....

    I find it funny how casual you are about spiders escaping... If I found a non indigenous spider in my apartment and found out who had them as pets - I would have no issues having that owner hanged, drawn and quartered.

      Ba Ri to be honest watching shows like these has made me look it spiders and insects in a completely different way to where I don't want to kill them at all but I still don't like them crawling on me while I'm sleeping and wake me up not cool that's a crime punishable by death in my house other than that I've been trying to be pro-life as much as possible. God bless

      Gary Koons I feel ya. Ive had two bites from redbacks in 12mths so cant blame you. I have always released any living thing that crosses my path its just in my blood to be that way. Crawling on me at night i would scream the street awake. poor you.

    I think you are the first person I've met on youtube who sell spiders. :( Unlike you , fortunately I hate the eight legged freaks. I had one huntsman female in my house who was an illegal immigrant and therefore I had to kill her. She was carrying a huge egg sack in her mouth. I didn't know it was egg sack until I watched your video. In last one year alone I think I have killed atleast 8-10 huntsman spiders in my house who were male and one kill was female as mentioned earlier. The female looked like she was weight-lifting champion with the kind of body she had and as if she was on steroids. I know it sounds funny but she was far more well built up than her male counterparts. All those spiders were fully matured though and were big in size. Plus they were very very quick to run away when I tried to kill them. And were very very strong physically too because it took almost 30 mins for the most powerful insecticide available in our country to work on them when sprayed with. All those killed ones were very different in color when compared to each other. None of them looked like they were brothers of each other. Oh and now I understood the reason why the house lizards in our house have suddenly reduced in quantity. Nowadays , I rarely see house lizards thanks to huntsman spiders. LOL.
