As someone who was a very broke child when I played Sims 3, in fact the only reason I had the base game was because I found it in a bargain bin at a department store back when they sold discs of computer games in their electronics sections, I think that I would have found it much easier to convince my parents to buy a whole pack or kit for $5 then it ever was to try and explain SimPoints to them. I think the difference is you can have a fun gaming experience without the store content in Sims 3, it's more like a fun plus if you can afford it. Meanwhile in Sims 4 people seem constantly starved for something better to make the gameplay interesting.

This video was great! Infants are still fairly new so it’s good to hear about what’s been made so far! PC players who don’t have growing together; this will enhance the gameplay so much❤I think they were lacking too much and a lot of the main infant features became main pack features, which is unfortunate. But I’m glad this is a more attainable option (sorry console players 😔) CC saves this game, every time and it sucks that such a large player base is excluded from that

I just found a mod that reduces how much the Sims check on Infants and it helps so much in multi-sim households. While I was looking for it, I came across a few of these and was considering them. Thanks for showing them so well! Now I know what I might download.
The Kinder Kontainer was in TS2 and I want to CRY seeing it in TS4. 😭 I do wish it has some of the Sims 2 swatches, but that metal crib was the base game crib that you used all the time in TS2.

All I need now is to find a fix for my default replacement eyes that totally broke with infants, I haven't yet found a version that works with them that I like, which is a shame because I don't really like the standard Sims 4 eyes.
There’s actually a way to covert the eyes if you have sims 4 studio. There’s a video/post that explains it really well, if you google how to covert sims 4 eyes for infants you should be able to find it pretty easily, and that same method can be applied to skin details and makeup as well, so no new eyes necessary 😁

Omg as someone who played sims 2 and 3 seeing the old cribs is such insane nostalgia. I wish my laptop could successfully run sims 3 without freezing every 2 minutes because I would pick it over the sims 4 anyway
I was really bummed that changing tables were behind a pay wall, very excited for that mod! I will say it’s crazy how much harder infants are with Growing Together. I just played with them for the first today in base game… and they just know how to crawl already and I can immediately put them in a high chair to try new foods. Besides getting hungry and sleepy super fast, they haven’t been that bad.
My first Sims game was The Sims on Holiday (I believe it was called The Sims Vacation or smth in America). I don't remember much about it apart from the fact that I played it lol. So technically, I've been playing since The Sims 1 but an expansion for it. The Sims 2, I remember a lot more of, but The Sims 3 is where most of my memories lie. By a long shot. It was laggy, buggy, it would crash my computer constantly. I loved playing it but I ran into so many issues that I couldn't play it anywhere near as often as I would have liked. The stripped back style of TS4 is so much easier to run. But even TS4 makes my laptop sound like it's about to take off and it has caused me a static buildup twice now, which I had to teach myself how to discharge. But it doesn't crash even nearly as much, despite the obvious spaghetti code. I can actually enjoy the game now. However, I totally concede that the paywalls are disgusting and that EA are an extremely money-grabbing company that are killing The Sims with this BS. I don't blame the actual dev team at all, I blame the higher-ups at EA. They're destroying this game for no good reason, just bc of money. I finally moved over to TS4 in 2017 bc I couldn't afford it before then and someone bought me it as a Christmas gift then thankfully. For years, all I had was base game and perfect patio stuff. Then, I started getting more money coming in and started slowly buying the packs. I'm now almost finished buying all of them and I can't believe how much the base game lacks. And then, to promise us a range of experiences with infants, only to put most of it behind a paywall, was an absolutely gross move on EA's part. I got the pack bc I wanted it, before I knew that most of the infants content would be in it. I feel so sorry for the people who cannot afford it. Thank god there are modders to help, who, honestly, do a better job than EA sometimes. Thank god for this community. ❤️
You say that you're obsessed with the playmat from Growing Together. I am too. At one point one of my legacy sims had a baby and when she became an infant she literally NEVER left that play mat unless one of her parents picked her up but when she was tired her parents stuck her on the play mat and she was out like a light.
When infants can finally walk around by themselves, they should be able to have realistic accidents on the floor! I know that dogs can leave puddles and small piles of poo wherever they go (before they're trained) soo, infants/ toddlers should be able to do the same thing!! it would add realism and humor!!
lol it's kinda funny how because the last time sims made cribs before now (sims 3) was still when drop side cribs were a thing irl, but now they're illegal so the sims 4 cribs are modern ones without the drop sides, these carried over versions just... have the sides dropped permanently. cuz the sims aren't set to do an animation to move them like they were in previous games. funny that that feels like that action was part of the nostalgia for me, since every game i played as a kid that had cribs used those, cuz that's what cribs were! also kind of amazing to learn how dangerous they were and then were somehow only banned 12 years ago. i spent my babyhood in one of those!
God modders are quick lol, and I have always used pandasama changing table but I always like to mix it up I exspecially love the wall one, that's what you see in my England public toilets haha also love the sims 2 conversions thanks for sharing 😊💙
i think that now that we have infants as the high-maintenance attached-to-parents stage, toddlers should go to preschool. it seems a little redundant for both infants and toddlers to remain at home all day long! toddlers should have preschool that either meets during the first half of a day of elementary school, or the second half. it would be like an acclimation period, where they do have to get ready for the day and out of the house, but don't have to be away from their parents for too long. while it would be a little silly of them to have grades, a performance bar is still reasonable. i don't think it should have strong repercussions (because it's not like real preschool does), but maybe a toddler that's being good at preschool can build skills a little easier and/or get a character value boost in parenthood, and vice versa. i want my toddler to be able to make friends! it's always so hard to meet other toddlers. i want chaotic playdates and birthday parties with actual guests that aren't related to my kid, but i need my toddler to know other toddlers!
I wantend a folding changing table that looked more homey than the one that came with growing together. I feel my father can't be the only one to diy that because lack of space.
The problem with the eyelashes as a skin detail is they conflict with rings, so this way you have an option whether you want eyeglasses or rings; skin detail or accessory. I love Kijiko's eyelashes, but honestly never bother putting them on kids, my sims get lashes on their glow up to teens.
The Sims' community is one of the dedicated communities I've seen that creates free CC when EA is milking money
Honestly. I would’ve quit the sims years ago had it not been for all the good mods and cc people create for free.

while it would be a little silly of them to have grades, a performance bar is still reasonable. i don't think it should have strong repercussions (because it's not like real preschool does), but maybe a toddler that's being good at preschool can build skills a little easier and/or get a character value boost in parenthood, and vice versa.
i want my toddler to be able to make friends! it's always so hard to meet other toddlers. i want chaotic playdates and birthday parties with actual guests that aren't related to my kid, but i need my toddler to know other toddlers!
The crib at 5:04 also have in sims 2. I think remember the blue swatch
I wantend a folding changing table that looked more homey than the one that came with growing together. I feel my father can't be the only one to diy that because lack of space.
I like the disappearing baby rug mod bc you can neglect your child like in every other sims game before 😂😂 At least the baby isn’t on fire…..yet 😂
I’m holding out for House of Harlix. I want a Scandinavian style light wood crib so bad.
I would love to see you review the healthcare redux mod!!!
The problem with the eyelashes as a skin detail is they conflict with rings, so this way you have an option whether you want eyeglasses or rings; skin detail or accessory. I love Kijiko's eyelashes, but honestly never bother putting them on kids, my sims get lashes on their glow up to teens.
I started playing with sims 1. So the idea of mods for just eye lashes seems wild to me. When I had mods for sims 2 it was stuff like teen pregnancy
Little Dica is back again with such great cc 🎉❤
I need a swing and bouncer and more interactions like fall asleep in carriers and give pacifiers.
Kijiko Eyelashes are the best, I love them! Not for infants though, I just don't care about that too much haha
Love you, you are making my life better 💓
