Love the video!! Nice job on the build!! I have a '96 FXSTC, and I'm thinking about doing something similar. I want to reduce some of the weight, too. How much does a stock FXSTC frame weigh? Approximately?
I have two questions: -How many gallons is that peanut? -Why call a bike with a sissybar and normal tires a bobber? Shouldn't it be a chopper anymore? I'm asking out of curiosity and not criticism. In any case I also own the same model and have started similar works. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
That's a king sportster tank....hold 3.1 gal Everyone has a different opinion on the chopper/ bobber definition. We did not chop/ rake neck or widen the frame, its still stock softail frame... more "minimalistic"....we call that a bobber. A chopper (for us) is going to have more rake, stretch, etc.
Has lowering rear shocks, but rear fender is fixed to the swingarm to give the appearance of a rigid with minimal rear fender/ tire clearance. So, swingarm and fender move together.
@@jcsperformance2778 Are you worried about the sissy bar whipping around and the welds potentially cracking? I have a softail that I'd like to do something similar to your build too and was wondering about that
Nice. Job man! Superb bobber! I'd be proud as hell to ride that!
Thanks, and thank you for watching.
Awesome! Curious if installing the sissy bar this way allows the rear suspension to still work. Seems like the mounts to the fender would stop it
Man wish I had that skill to build a bike like that nice build
Thanks for watching
It is an amazing bike, I have it in my garage right now, great build fellas!!!!!!
I SAW IT FOR SALE BY YOU
yeah it's on marketplace for sale

@@jcsperformance2778 thanks a lot for the clarifing answer!
What did you do with the rear shocks? Did you keep the suspension and just lower the rear end? Or did you delete it somehow, to make it a hardtail?
Has lowering rear shocks, but rear fender is fixed to the swingarm to give the appearance of a rigid with minimal rear fender/ tire clearance. So, swingarm and fender move together.

What purpose does the sissybar serve?
Sissy bar is a rear fender support.
@@jcsperformance2778 OK. Why does it rise several feet above the fender?
Backpack/bedroll/overnight gear, you know, stuff...
@@Rif_Leman
@@ashovelhead yep always gotta carry stuff, plus looks badass
