8 Basic Types of Camera Movements

Various approaches can be used in order for you to produce the best shooting, composition and interesting video footage. One of them is to diversify the filming techniques used. The imaging technique is the most basic movements through the camera used to obtain the required shot. Some camera movement techniques that can be used for the stated purposes are pan, tilt, dolly, zoom, dolly zoom, track/truck and follow focus.

Does the trucking shot have to show full body or can it show above knees.

In this video we have demonstrated camera movement (tracking). However it's really up to you to follow your story. You can do tracking + full body or tracking + above knees. My suggestion is that your subject should take into account the appropriateness in terms of POV (point of view) from 1st person, 2nd person or 3rd person.

Don't forget a jib move. Even for a video made in 2017, the jib is a basic camera movement.
