      Watching Ovechkin lift the Cup and seeing his emotions after all the years of playoff loss heartbreaks to finally live out another of his life's dreams. Hoisting the Stanley Cup.
      Just the emotion on his face is one of the greatest moments in sports history idc if your a Capitals fan or not.

      My biggest sports experience was seeing my country winning Euro 1992 in football (or soccer if you will). We've never really been close to anything like that since then. You may become disillusioned with your team in years to come. You may even become insufferable at times. But the joy of actually winning will NEVER wear off.

      Don't worry about becoming insufferable mate. #1, you were there for the heartbreaks before 2018 so Cap fans' collective joy and bragging rights have been earned. #2, sports can be more fun when people hate your team. LOL

    • @eriklakeland3857
      @eriklakeland3857 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@papaquonis Damn as an avid football supporter beginning in 2010, I was not aware Denmark won Euro 1992. In terms of a surprise it sounds similar to the incredible Greek Euro title in 2004.
      I was so happy for the Great Dane Eriksen, then of my beloved Tottenham Hotspur, for making it to the knockout rounds of WC 2018 in Russia.

    • @papaquonis
      @papaquonis 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eriklakeland3857 I suggest you look at the story of Euro 1992, it's quite something. I've seen Greeks and Danes discussing who was the biggest surprise winner, and they certainly both have a strong case. But I would argue that what Denmark did then was one of the greatest upsets ever in sports - even as big as Leicester winning the Premier League. Denmark didn't even qualify to be at the event, they finished second in the qualifying group after Yugoslavia, but because of their civil war, they got kicked out of international sports by the United Nations only a month or so before Euro 1992 was to start. Denmark got their spot literally a couple of weeks before the tournament began with almost no time to prepare, and then went on to win it, beating the reigning European Champions (The Netherlands) in the semifinal and the reigning World Champions (Germany) in the final. It is undoubtedly the greatest Danish sports achievement ever - the only thing that could possibly beat it would be winning the World Cup.

Whenever the CAPS are on the PP I like watching how much respect they give him while he is the QB during the pp. Most of the time when anybody but Backstrom has the puck, they will pressure and try to force a mistake that leads to a turnover. Not when when he has it though cuz he will shred ur ass. Love him

    One of the most memorable cup runs in over a decade. With what the Caps went through, all the history, a double-OT goal away from being down 3-0 to Columbus, trailing in every single series, it just felt like they were the "protagonist" of 2017-2018.

    10 should be higher... one of nicky's best passes ever flung the puck over 3 VGK defenders right to ovi for the one timer. hands down should be top 5

    Jay Beagle and DSP were underappreciated for their role in the cup win. Letting either of them let alone both go has backfired. 3 first round exits in a row now. I know Trotz was the biggest loss but at the end of the day the players win and not the coach

    I am a Blackhawks fan (from Chi -town) but it is nice to see u CAPS finally win the cup. Especially being Russian-American I am glad that Ovi, Kuzi, Orlov, Burackowski, Backstrom, Tom finally did it. The "enforcer" is my favorite player on you all team. Tom Wilson is a BEAST.
