I find myself in an environment where we have a Kepware OPC server and about a dozen PLCs and a couple thousand sensors. The person who used to make tags has been gone now for about 3 years. Thus, knowledge of Kepware is no longer prominent in the company. My background is software engineering/dba/data engineering. I will want to start getting data from the sensors - but I'll first need an understanding of how to use Kepware... I think to start making tags AND how to do it safely without any interference on the shop floor. Could you please point me in the right direction for some more information? Thanks.
