This is an honest opinion. Angela Markle is a graduate and a believer of Christian religion. In Germany in the general election the chancellor is not voted directly by the people but the Parliament is voted. Then a government is formed. The chancellor candidate is decided by each party in advance and is then voted by the parliament. Merkel did not enact same sex marriage. It was a vote by the Parliament and she voted against it. It is also a bit weird to say West Germany was with "the rest of Europe" when half of Europe was with UDSSR.

Apart from her religious believe, she is a person who has morals and ethics as a person followed by strategy to rule a country. Not everyone can rule a country consistently year after year. It's fascinating that, when every other EU or NATO countries criticized for her immigrants policies in a crucial or difficult times like that she didn't loose her confidence or gave up or considered her faiths and believes with others instead that she kept her country's border open for the immigrants. This single act of kindness or humanity made her a leader who not just care for her own citizens but also for the others as well.
How many leaders can deal or confront Putin today? I guess no one instead Angela Markle. Because Putin himself stated Markle as a powerful and influential leader who can make difference and has abilities to deal with difficulties professionally.

In Germany in the general election the chancellor is not voted directly by the people but the Parliament is voted. Then a government is formed. The chancellor candidate is decided by each party in advance and is then voted by the parliament.
Merkel did not enact same sex marriage. It was a vote by the Parliament and she voted against it.
It is also a bit weird to say West Germany was with "the rest of Europe" when half of Europe was with UDSSR.
