  • This video will show you how to build a BIG vibratory rock tumbler that will tumble 20# or more of rock for about $100.00. It shows the tumbler in use and it shows some rocks that were run through stage 1 (120 grit) in the tumbler.

    This is such an awesome idea! I'm planning to make one going by your design. I'm curious how it's been working for you. Does it go through all the stages well? Any issues or things you would change? Super excited to make this. Just got my bucket and vibrating machine. 😊

    This reminds me of the tools my mentor had when I learned lapidary work. Back in the 1960s and 70s, most rockhounds made their own equipment, often from plans they found in Lapidary Journal. My mentor's shop was just filled with home-built lapidary machines.
