That's just Yung's way of saying that he sucks bad at bug stick. A lot of people who seem to think that bugstick is far too complex to even be good haven't even put in the time to learn the weapon, it's actually a lot easier to use than Hunting Horn or Charge Blade.
I’ve stopped using bug stuck because i was just using a 100% crit build on it and it was pretty toxic. So now I play bow. Not sure if that’s any better though

Charge blade cuz I love giving the monster a big old whack of fiery boom booms, and bug stick because who doesn't like mounting a monster right after poisoning them? Also I get to carry a tiny Mothra on my arm. I see this as an absolute win!
